Great views, great kitchen, well appointed bathrooms and kitchen utensils. The outdoor areas are really nice. Big lawn, garden, hot tub fire pit. Our family had a wonderful time together at this house. Santa Barbara is a great town, in particular, the Funk Zone and the zoo.

This home is far and away the best rental I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The location is perfect. The views are absolutely gorgeous. We saw dolphins and even whales in the distance. The house was immaculate and well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. The handbook that the owners left us was full of great information-placed to eat, sites to see and all the things their home has to offer. We didn’t take advantage of it but they have paddle boards, bikes and much more. The hosts even left us snacks, coffee and a bottle of wine. We all enjoyed the game room which had a ping pong table, foosball and a card table. The library had the best books to choose from and there were blankets scattered around the house to stay cozy. The outdoor space was fantastic. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. All seating and eating areas were cleaned up for us, including the grill. Overall, the only downfall was that we couldn’t stay longer. We will definitely be back!

We booked this amazing home for my husbands 70th birthday, 6 adults and 2 two year olds. Communications with the owners started before our stay and continued when needed during our stay. Questions we had were answered immediately and concerns addressed with great thoughtfulness. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, very comfortable beds, wonderful gathering areas both inside and out but the view was the memory we will all hold with us! We hope to return in the near future.

Came from Los Angeles to celebrate my 70th birthday and it was a treat to stay here! The house is large and lovely. The back of the house faces the ocean, with a grassy fenced backyard. Everything inside looks new, very clean, and luxurious. There are terraced areas outside, each with seating and purpose. Then there is the truly unique feature of a promontory.
The decor is beautiful, not fussy, but tranquil and comfortable. The photos don’t really do it justice. The Mesa location was wonderful. Taking the sidewalk from the house in either direction lead to parks, which allowed wonderful dog walks without having to drive at all.
Please know, there is a sleeper sofa but no beds on the first floor. It is not a house for anyone troubled by stairs (one flight). Truly a special, beautiful property!

There are not enough effusive adjectives to describe this special property. It is breathtakingly beautiful and bucolic but also near anything you need as far as groceries, restaurants, etc. It feels as though you are at a private retreat and can block out the rest of the world.
This was our first family vacation with our 11 month old granddaughter. There was plenty of room for the 6 adults and baby to have private space, large kitchen and eat in space stocked with everything imaginable... and the views are right out the back windows!
The host is readily available and gracious. We want to come back as soon as possible!

Great location with a beautiful backyard and spectacular views. We canceled a few dinner reservations so we could enjoy the home even more. Property manager was very responsive and kind. The home was perfect for taking morning walks, relaxing with friends and soaking in the fabulous weather! Would highly recommend this home.

We loved our stay at this home in Mesa! We were traveling with six adults and two young kids. The home was perfect for our family, with ample space to hang together. It is a large home that feels cozy and intimate. Beautiful outdoor space with a fire pit, hot tub, large grass yard and unbelievable views. The location is ideal for access to downtown, Funk Zone and the Wharf without being in touristy-ville. Our only two critiques of the home were that there are lots of small ants that got into the main level (kitchen and powder bathroom). However, I think this is a product of the INCREDIBLE indoor/outdoor living situation. The homeowner left ant traps that we put out which helped. Also, the water pressure was low in the guest bedroom ensuite. But otherwise, fantastic home. Would definitely stay here again!

I can completely understand the other reviews that said they didn't want to leave this place to go anywhere. This house is an oasis, and we didn't want to go anywhere else. My wife and I stayed 5 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Everything about the stay was perfect. Amazing house, stunning location and views. Close to shopping, restaurants, the marina, and State street, but when you are back at this house you feel completely removed from the world. So peaceful and quiet. It was everything we were hoping for. I can't imagine coming to Santa Barbara and not staying here.

The photos don’t do this house justice. The view is SPECTACULAR. There’s a very peaceful energy here. The house is well appointed with everything you could ever need. We cancelled every reservation and cooked at home every night to soak up the view.truly a special place, and we will most certainly be coming back!

We had such an amazing time in SB and at this home. It was so lovely and charming. We live in LA and decided to spend a long weekend in Santa Barbara. We have rented a home in Montecito on a prior visit with distant views of the ocean, but this home is on the Ocean. Well maybe I should say it's above the ocean as it sits on a bluff which has spectacular views of the ocean as well as the beach below. The property is beautifully landscaped with a lovely yard where we could enjoy the serenity of the views. The home itself has 4 upstairs bedrooms with the 2 bedrooms showcasing amazing views. Downstairs has a modern kitchen with all the amenities. The home has a cozy beach vibe with a neutral color palette. Living space was great and included a garage converted into a game room. Our hosts Alex and Sarah left wonderful instructions on everything we needed to know to get the best out of the house and area. How we used the home, was to open the accordion style doors to the outside and let the ocean wave sounds filter the room while we relaxed to a glass of wine. We walked down to the beach and took morning jogs along the ocean at the park a few minutes down the street. At night we sat around the fire pit and took in the ocean air, while my kids also lounged in the hot tub a few feet away. It was truly like being at a resort. We absolutely loved it and look forward to returning. We often visit Cabo, Nantucket and the Hamptons, and this was as good!

We are from the east coast and spent this past Christmas holiday here. This was such a wonderful spot, none of us wanted our holiday to end! The house was casual but perfectly appointed. The location was perfect and enabled us to enjoy all of Santa Barbara. The best however was the magnificent views and outside space. Honestly we loved many of the views around the area, but none were as special as our back yard while we were here! Our host was easy to connect with and so responsive, as was the property manager. If the measure of a Vrbo is that you want to live there, then we all agree we wish we could. A wonderful spot !

We completely enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The location is stunning: a greater than 180 degree sweeping view, high on the mesa overlooking the Pacific. We could hear the waves at night. The neighborhood we perfect for running, biking, and the beach is just a short walk away. The house is recently remodeled, the vibe is "luxury beach cottage" and the outdoor spaces are magnificent. We enjoyed making smores in the firepit, exploring Santa Barbara, and walking to the nearby coffeehouse. Thanks for sharing your home with us !

This house and location cannot be beat ! the location is central to everything ( DT Santa Barbara Arts District , State Street, the Marina , and a great market nearby ). the beaches cannot be beat, and all in walking distance . the beach is gorgeous !! The views from the house are amazing, and really does not even show in photos . Wish we could have stayed much longer ! The house has everything you could want from sports equipment, a game room, a fire pit, a jacuzzi, great seating, amazing bathrooms and kitchen. The Property manger was really nice and welcomed up right away. I ant say enough great things about this house, the location, the property , the beach, the amenities, and what a great stay we had !

This was the ideal home for our annual visit time Santa Barbara with our extended family. The home is beautifully and elegantly furnished. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The view is so mesmerizing that we cancelled our dinner reservations and cooked at home every night. There is a great inventory of good condition beach and outdoor equipment to use. The location is super convenient. Alex was easy to communicate with (although there was very little communication because everything was perfect). We highly recommend this home - and we will hope to return.

As much as we loved being out and about in the Santa Barbara area - we were always most excited to get back to the house to enjoy and relax. The views are breathtaking - and there are so many different places to enjoy it from. The owner and property manager are super responsive- and everything is very clean and organized. You definitely want to stay here! We have rented amazing homes all over the world and especially all along the California coast. We all agreed that this home is the best of this stunning group that includes Manhattan Beach, Big Sur, Carmel, and San Francisco. The views are beyond spectacular; truly panoramic. Its private and we never noticed the neighbors. The entire home and especially the kitchen are very well appointed. Everything you need is here. There’s really no need to traipse about restaurants and such. Cook here, dine here, be here. Our group was four guys and we each had our own bedrooms. The fourth is the library (blue room) with pocket doors to isolate it and its pull out couch. We each had our own bathroom with shower. You will spend all of your time in the kitchen, around the island looking out the window which accordion opens for a vista. Same thing with the living room and fireplace. It has a wall-sized folding door that brings the outside in to you. We are already planning our next visit!

This property over exceeded our expectations. The views were beyond beautiful! There was not one detail overlooked by the property owner. Definitely a beach oasis and the perfect place for a quiet relaxing retreat. The listing does mention construction on a neighboring property but it didn’t lessen the experience or the property one bit. We did see some dolphins and the views alone are worth staying here. We had everything we needed and the host was super responsive. If we had any questions they were quick to respond. The neighborhood is quiet but you’re a close drive to state street and the funk zone if you’re looking for restaurants. The house is set up so impeccably that you don’t need to leave if you don’t want to. Such a relaxing experience. We will definitely be looking for this property again in the future.
