The view of the lake is wonderful..the cottage is very nice..great decor! The “beach “ and shallow water is extremely rocky. A bit of a distance to any activities but expected that based on the location. Very nice spot to relax and read a book.
The Lake was awesome for swimming and kayaking .

We had an idyllic and quiet week at this lakeside cottage. The kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was comfortable, and everything was just perfect. John was available for anything we needed and was a perfect host. We're looking forward to our next stay here.

We stayed for two weeks at the end of July and it was all we were expecting. The cottage is clean, well equipped with SUP and Kayaks and everything you need to use them straight from the dock. The cottage had all the amenities to cook with and a clean BBQ. The owner is next door and displayed the perfect balance of checking to make sure we had everything we needed and maintaining our privacy. The location is ideal if you are looking for a private and quiet lakefront location. You can swim right off the deck to cool off. The property was very well maintained and very clean.

Beautiful property and lovely owner. The only glitch for us was that the listing did not mention that the dock was shared with the owner.

Exceeded our expectations and happily surprised us with lots of wildlife to watch. John greeted us and gave us the grand tour of the very clean and well appointed property. He lives in the house above to the left. Because of the elevation difference and the abundance of foliage, you are afforded a ton of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of cookware, dishwasher, utensils, gadgets, water cooler, spices etc. The living room had leather furniture, throw blankets and a large TV with lots of channels. The king bed was really comfy and the linens were very high quality. There was a ton of available storage throughout the house should you be staying awhile. There was a variety of choices for full sun, dappled sun or full shade all throughout the day so you could avoid sunburn. The lakeside deck had loungers and Adirondack chairs and the house deck had sunny loungers and a table with chairs set under a canopy. There were lots of paddle boards or kayaks for water fun in the clear Okanagan lake front and two boat hoists. Wandering the shore or in the shallows looking at rocks and fish was my favourite past time. There was so much wildlife: deer, chipmunks, heron, eagles, robins, hummingbird, etc. John and Kim checked in from time to time in case we needed anything; very friendly father, daughter team. We would definitely go back.

If you're looking for a great space, away from everything and still be surrounded with all the necessary creature comforts. This is the place to retreat to. You're right on the beach, have access to kayaks and paddleboards, just 2 km from Ellison Provincial Park with loads of hiking and biking trails and amazing beaches. John was an amazing host and ensured we had everything we needed and more. The beach house is fully provisioned, and unlike some other VRBO properties we've rented in the past, this one came with lots of everything and of good quality. We were looking for a great restaurant in the area to celebrate our anniversary and his suggestion of Intermezzo in Vernon was spot on. If you are looking for a romantic dinner ask for the cellar room. If you are planning to partake in some wine tasting you are looking at a15 minute drive back into Vernon and then another 30 minutes south to Kelowna before you get to the major wineries. Definitely looking forward to a return visit.

This rental was a great find! It was exceptionally clean and had everything you could possibly need. Lovely sheets, towels and blankets. A stacker washer and dryer in the bathroom was an added bonus. Well stocked kitchen with beautiful dishes, glassware, and every type of utensil/cookware. Fantastic large BBQ on the deck for grilling and the location is right on the water! The view from the deck was amazing with a patio set to sit and enjoy dinner at, as well as two Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset over the mountains. We enjoyed using the paddle boards, the kayaks and fishing and swimming off the dock. Perfect getaway location and a short drive to go into Vernon. We will definitely be back! John and Kim were perfect hosts - highly recommend this location!

This 1 bedroom cabin is an easy 45 min drive from Kelowna airport. Check - in was super simple and the property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. This is a great option for two adults or a romantic getaway.
The view is panoramic and very beautiful.
Our hosts greeted us upon arrival and gave us a mini orientation and tour to show us where all of our essentials were. They are so friendly and kind.
We had access to kayaks and paddle boards, and there is a large deck right at the water’s edge with a big umbrella you can use if you like shade.
Recommend bringing water shoes, as the beach is made of pink granite rocks but the water is clear as glass.
There is a ton of fun things to do in the area:
- Wine tour - We went with Mojo tours (Stan was our awesome driver /guide
- Boat rentals
- Hiking /biking
- Wonderful restaurants
If you are considering this property, definitely book, as it is well worth it!
