Everything. Location is perfect for those who like being near all town facilities but in a quiet environment. Silence is a privilege and you can get it in Caracol. Staff is extremely kind, helpful and willing to help. Decoration of the room is also very cozy.
Nothing.

Everything. It is charming place near to all the town facilities but in a quiet place. Staff is extremely kind and helpful. Decoration is very beautiful. Filtered water for free is a very important aspect for me in an accomodation due to reduction of plastic impact.
Nothing.

Very good breakfast available on extra costs (approx. 4 US-Dollar)
More storage for clothes in the room.

More of a hotel than a hostel but absolutely lovely. Great location for both the city and the mirador. Great breakfast in the cafe.

everything was very nice, the staff very welcoming
very neat
nice coffee place with good breakfast
the room was a little close to the coffee area but still that was not really disturbing

Lovely clean well located hotel. Hot shower. Real nice room. They dried my clothes for me in hotel laundry.
Room allocated was just next to reception. It was noisy and the cafe literally just outside the door and window cranked up (with music) at 8AM. It was a Sunday morning. Monday was much quieter. Shame because the room was otherwise lovely and comfortable

The hotel was lovely, great staff. The food in the small restaurant was quite good. Even though we had to buy our breakfast, the choices were a great change from the usual eggs and arepas in the rest of Colombia. Good location to visit most of the sites in Popayan.
The WiFi! It was pretty bad. We had planned to do research and bookings during our stay, but we basically had to go out to a cafe to get any service. And our room was over the yard of the restaurant which made it noisy most days.

Excellent value! The kitchenette and spacious sleeping/sitting area in the suite made the stay of several nights very pleasant. The location, close to the centre of the historic zone but quieter, was a bonus. Terrific healthy breakfasts in the cafe downstairs as well. Gold stars all around!

Lovely modern room and ensuite. Cafe attached is very good too. Location is close to the centre but far enough away that it's not too noisy
Hot water ran out both nights and it's a little chilly to enjoy cold showers!

Great cafe and back patio. The owners put a lot of thought into the decor - unique and beautiful
Nb - this is not a hostel. .

Nicely furnished rooms, super friendly staff, big, tasty breakfast.
A relatively new location for this hostel means they are ironing out kinks with water supply.

if your in Popayan this is the place to stay. Came back threes times in total. We were really well looked after by both the staff in the cafe and the owners Tony and Kim. They know a great deal about the area and helped us sort out our visit to San Agustin and Terradendro..

Kim& Tony are awesome nice and helpful people from Scotland. They are doing everything to make you feel welcomed and
comfortable and can give you a lot of tips where to travel in Columbia.
The optional breakfast (COP 12.000) is very good and since the CARACOL is also a coffeehouse/bistro drinks and food are available all day and local people come here as well to relax and chat in the nice backyard.
The hotel provides a (very clean) washing machine and a dryer for COP 20.000. The rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable and the shower has warm water.
What could be improved is a bit better Wifi connection and some hangers for clothes in the room.

Great location, in the old sector of town. Very easy to get around. This town is worth a visit, the old part of town is very interesting.

This is a lovely place to stay in a lovely town. Rather strange atmospheric building with lovely cafe out front and rooms at the back. My private room/shared bath was fine, its window opened on to the internal part of the cafe but customers were gone by night time and I wasn't in the room during the day so that was no problem. There's plenty of information about things to do and places to go and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the whole atmosphere of the hostel was so positive. The breakfasts were excellent and the coffee and various cakes were a real treat at any time of day, but especially in the late afternoon after exploring the area. The hostel is very well located in the old area of Popayán. The pot of aromatica tea was a very welcome surprise, not just a cup, but a generous supply.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The only downside for us was the fact that we couldn’t do the expedition we wanted to, to Purace, as no-one else signed up for it, but that was not the fault of the hostel.

Bed was just really poor. Needs to be addressed. Rooms were rather spacious but leaked ventilation. Felt rather cold during the night, extra cover provided but not enough. Staff was nice and laundry service was excellent at fair price.

This was so peaceful, no traffic noise and the interior patio space was lovely. A good kitchen to cook as well. This is a good place to meet fellow travellers, although I was pretty much alone on this occasion. Excellent coffee too. I am very happy I stayed in this hostel right in the centre of Popayan, but in a wonderful location. The town is definitely worth a couple of days and there are also excursions if you have more time.
All was fine. Maybe the bed was a little hard...
