Great facilities and atmosphere with friendly staff

Good location for exploring Barranco with an easy walk to the bus that takes you to the historic city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Beds were a bit shaky when you turned over but nothing bad.

Lindo hostel. Genial terraza

El hostel está impecable, excelente la limpieza, los espacios compartidos, la terraza es genial con una vista muy bella. Tienen un lindo café-bar. Buena ubicación en Barranco. El staff muy amable.

Los baños están muy lejos de la habitación, era incómodo. Había un señor que a veces estaba en la puerta -quizás encargado- (no el de seguridad que era muy amable) muy asqueroso y bastante paj*ro, debería darse cuenta que no da!

Sobre todo el inmueble en sí, de estilo clásico, con techos altos y baldosas variopintas. También dispone de muy buenas instalaciones y servicios (innumerables baños y duchas, desayuno bajo demanda y maquina de café, cocina, bar de copas y coctelería abierto hasta la 1, cómoda azotea con vistas al mar y al atardecer, tours, servicio aeropuerto, etc...) con personal disponible las 24h muy atento y amable (Paola, Yann?, Nadi, Susana,...) Una mención especial para la coctelera Sheila, quien nos deleitó con sus fantástica variedad de cócteles y su buen entretenimiento!

The best hostel em Lima

É uma casa grande, os quartos são grandes. Tem muito espaço de convivência. Tem um bar na parte debaixo e um pátio. Tem um terraço acima que dá para ver o mar. Fica perto de tudo, supermercado, muitos restaurantes de todos os preços. Todos os restaurantes têm comida boa. Pode-se almoçar por menos de USD 4. É só sair do Hostel, andar a direita. No primeiro semáforo, atravessar a rua à esquerda. Chega-se à avenida Grau, a mais movimentada. Ali tem um banco na esquina e cambistas, eles são credenciados e trocam com uma boa cotação seu dinheiro. Troquei duas vezes. Ali perto tem o supermercado Metro, ótimo pão e água. Compre a água "ÁGUA PURA! ÁGUA PURIFICADA". Melhor preço e sabor. O melhor restaurante, preço, atendimento e sabor é o Don Kike. Fica ao fundo da rua do semáforo à esquerda. Atravesse a rua do Hostel, no semáforo à esquerda, atravesse a avenida Grau e continue andando, atravesando a Grau. O restaurante tem o menu numa placa na rua, mas o nome do restaurante não aparece. Calle Ignacio Merino 115, Barranco, Lima. Tem ônibus na Grau para ir a Miraflores. Para ir ao centro histórico, precisa ir na estación Bulevar. Pega-se o metropolitano. É preciso comprar um cartão de transporte na máquina na estação e pôr crédito no cartão com dinheiro. A máquina não dá troco, então o dinheiro fica creditado com valor para usar no transporte. O ônibus para o centro histórico é a linha C, centro. Cuidado para pegar o ônibus no lado errado, Sur, esse é voltando pro Hostel vindo do centro, tem uma plaquinha mostrando centro. Desce no centro em Jirón de la Unión.

Muito barulho da rua. A rua é movimentada e não existe isolamento do barulho, as janelas não isolam o barulho.

Lovely hostel in a beautiful neighbourhood in Lima

The hostel was nice and the staff where amazing. It was nice to have curtains on the bed for more privacy and a small lamp and charging by the bed. There was also a nice co-working area.

The bar should have been rebuilt to the rooftop and put more effort into the roof. The place on the roof was a bit impractical, as the social area was always quite empty. Also, the kitchen is tiny. My room could not open the window, and had a bit weird smell. Like old cat pee. I don't know but it was always there.

Todas las instalaciones están impecables, y sus áreas comunes son una maravilla, el personal te atiende súper bien, me tocó pedir recomendaciones con Susana, fue muy amable con todo, y sin duda la ubicación es un punto clave

Personnel hyper chaleureux et accueillant. Très bienveillants et toujours prêts à répondre aux questions et à rendre service. En plus parlaient tous très bien anglais. Très bien localisé, super quartier.

Fantastic Hostel

Fantastic hostel for anyone staying in Lima. Very well located with a nice bar and cafe at the hostel. The view of the ocean from the roof is amazing. The breakfast was very good, we had it everyday. Recommended for any traveler.

Trevligt och bekvämt

Mysigt och hemtrevligt. Trevlig personal som var villiga att hjälpa till med det man bad om och försökte svara på frågor man har när allt är nytt. Rummet var trevligt och rymligt(#3). Hörde inte något från gatan och det var nära till en mercado och ATM.

I rum #3 går rören från toaletterna på öv, i rummets tak, så när det spolades eller duscha de, så hörde vi det. Mindre trevligt. Frukosten var ingen höjdare, gå till närliggande fik och ät iställlet. Ta vänster och följ gatan. Vi blev ombedda att betala commision för rummet. Mycket konstigt. Trött som man är direkt från en långresa, så betalade vi 12dollar extra.

Great common areas, guests and staff.

This is for sure one of the best hostels we’ve stayed at over the years. The room was clean with comfortable beds, even the bunks were surprisingly spacious. Sanitary areas were clean, showers have decent pressure and are warm. There are very nice communal areas: yard, bar, pool room, and especially the rooftop terrace. Most importantly, the people were fantastic. The guests, but also the receptionists and volunteers were lovely. We had especially good times with the barkeepers Shey and Jennifer. Thanks to all at ancestral!

we loved our stay, however be careful with reception, they tried some scams

It's a beautiful house with a great location. Dorms are spacious. We really liked our stay here (5nights), however at check-out it got weird when reception wanted to charge us for an unnecessary "extra cleaning" of bed sheets. They claimed they were dirty. We requested to see the bed sheets and insisted to prove it was unnecessary. So with our own soap and water we did not need more than 30seconds and the sheet was flawless.... I mean seriously? Why ruining the great experience at the end? Do you really need these types of scams?

Only 3 things should get improved: * kitchen needs more equipment * for climbing up the dorm-beds something to hold on is needed!! now it can be dangerous. * would be nice to have curtains on each side of the beds

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Es gibt eine Rooftop! Dort fehlt nur noch eine Bar. Die Betten sind bequem und es hat Vorhänge zum Abdunkeln. Das Frühstück war seeeeehr lecker! Die Rezeption ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gab einen Willkommens-Shot an der Bar. Viele schöne Wandbilder dekorieren das Hostel. Die WC- und Duschanlagen scheinen sehr neu gemacht zu sein. Es gibt auch warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Die Lage ist auch optimal! Wir waren absolut zufrieden!

Die Bar und die Zimmer sind nur via Aussenbereich begehbar. Wenn es regnet, wäre es mühsam.

Periodic Building, modern bathrooms, Super clean

Spacious rooms, modern bathrooms, privacy curtains, lovely gardens and newly refurbished period house. Barranco is an awesome safe neighborhood with sunset views overlooking the beach. Better bargain currently than the Viajero!

Very new and fresh hostel with pretty interior! Helpful and english speaking receptionist. Great rooftop to watch the sunset.

We found this hostel overdimensioned which gave it sort of a wierd and empty vibe. But I think it’s newly opened so maybe that will improve over time! The toilet brush was disgusting. I think the toilets generally need to be cleaned more frequently. The kitchen needs an upgrade and a larger trash bin. Noisy dorm from traffic, but guess that’s a problem all over Lima.

Great hostel in a great location! Rooms & communal areas were big and spacious, nice hot showers, staff were really friendly and helpful & a nice big breakfast (fried eggs and avo on toast). Would stay again!

Best hostel in Lima, great location and friendly staff

Great location with friendly staff and good vibes. Room was big, toilets clean, kitchen well equipped. Accommodated last minute travel changes and organised transport to/from airport. Faultless English from staff who gave excellent advice for sights and things to do. Ground floor bar has a pool table and an excellent outdoor area. Can't recommend highly enough.

Superb

Location is perfect - we love Barranco! Also, we put at first a poor review as there was a party downstairs that was making the entire building shake. It lasted up to 2:30am and we had to ask several time to turn down the music. Ultimately, the staff cooperated, agreed to lower it and to compensate for this night.

Great place, great staff. No party hotel.

Extremely plaid and helpful staf, large rooms, hot water. Tasteful architecture, wooden floors. Good location. The hotel is new, not many people know it, so I was alone in the dorm. I liked it. Staff helped me to find taxi, bus etc.

No hangers in the bathroom. I had no place to put my clothes while in shower. The hotel is new, I am sure they will fix all.

Perfect hostel in Barranco

Staff is very nice. The style of the hostels with the paintings, is very cute. Patio very cute too. Dorms are big and bed comfortable. Well situated to discover Barranco.

Nothing that I didn't like, just some little improvement : the kitchen could use a little "update" .
