This property completely blew me away. The hosts were incredible. The facilities are so amazing. So much better than the photo's. The attention to detail here is next level.

Such a unique place, with beautiful treehouses and amazing ambiance, especially at night. Chris and Ashley are wonderful hosts and I would recommend their place over any other place in Tonga. It is a bit remote, but with a rental car we enjoyed the area a lot and are so happy that got to stay in Tukulolo. We also fell in love with local fluffy puppies that followed us for cuddles and scratches.

Tukulolo treehouses is a very unique experience. Amazing creative wonderland hidden in the bush. This is not a standard place to stay so be prepared for an experience. The hosts are incredibly friendly and chatty and there is a wonderful outdoor communal area to chat with other guests if you want too. All the rooms are very private with secluded balconies. The food was delicious and home cooked by the owner. Fabulous boutique experience. All very clean, comfy generous sized rooms with basics provided including some breakfast foods and jug/fridge.
I liked everything but good to know that this is off the beaten track so not near any facilities, you are in the country so you will have some barking dogs and crowing roosters around. There are fans but no aircon - quite cool in the bush during our stay so we didn't need aircon.
While there is very good insect protection on all the windows you may encounter a few mossies or other bush insects. Access is upstairs and along elevated board walks so maybe not for people who have mobility issues.

The treehouse was so beautiful and very comfy, although probably not ideal for longer than a night or two, there was no where to put clothes or possessions. We were provided with bread, butter, jam, a toaster, cereal and milk. This was in the fridge in the room. It was not re-stocked each day, but I think they was a simple oversight. There was fruit but it was imported, we would have liked local pawpaw and melon much more. Tea and instant coffee provided.
Guests should arrange car hire if staying more than one night, especially if going during peak times. Taxis are OK but it'd get expensive if taking a taxi everywhere.
The ground under the treehouse could do with a tidy up.

Chris, Ashley and family are the best hosts - helpful to make recommendations and bookings, cook tasty meals for you and provide entertaining discussion around the fire pit each night :-)
The treehouses are beautifully handcrafted, quirky and inspire rest and imagination.
These points are just FYI instead of dislikes…
The roosters can be pretty noisy, just so you know, but we went back to sleep.
You would be best to hire a car so that you can get out and about independently. It takes about 40 minutes to drive into town as traffic often drives slowly but you can enjoy the villages as you pass through and go sightseeing.

Food was great. The room is gorgeous and everything being handmade makes it special and unique.
It gets surprisingly cold at night, definitely suggest putting extra linen in the rooms.
