When we arrived, the front door to the hotel was propped open and no one was at the front desk. I called twice, no one answered. Waited for about 10 minutes, someone finally came in. Said they were working on the pool. Started off being put in a dirty room. Moved rooms, that was fine. Second rooms toilet ran and made an awful noise when flushing. Was told housekeeping would come fix it but they didnt. Upon check in we were told the pool was closed but the hot tub wa open until 10 pm. At 9:15 we went down to the hot tub and was told it was closed because no one was using it. Tried several times to call the front desk and no one answered. Breakfast consists of an old danish and cold coffee. I can see why it is such a low priced hotel now.

Great price, especially for being so close to the beach, very clean & smells good. Nice staff. Deer to see nearby. Convenient location to anything. I will definitely return to this hotel especially if it's the same reasonable price.

So 1 no phones in room to reach counter.. 2 no sheet on bed had to go downstairs due to i couldn't reach them by cell phone. 3 no shower soap or hair Conditioner in room when i jumped into shower containers were empty. 4 customer service was not at the counter for 45 min while i waited. And there was no one to help..other customers were stuck outside because they needed to be buzzed in to open front door. 5 breakfast was a tiny danish. Find another hotel recommended. I guess tgey want to save money by offering less customer service. I would submit a picture of an empty counter. But you get the picture.

Great service and clean comfortable room. The front desk clerk was very helpful with all our needs. The swimming pool/hot tub area was huge and clean. Will stay again next time we are in Ocean Shores.

Our stay at Hotel Mar Vista (a hotel with new owners) was excellent, especially for the price. Although a little dated, the rooms were very clean with very comfortable beds. The front desk manager, Ali, was so accommodating and helpful. We also have a cat-which most hotels will not accept-but this hotel does with a reasonable pet fee. We will definitely be back.

We only stayed one night, but it was very easy to get around to the places we wanted to see. Very convenient to walk to restaurants that we liked, even though it looked like it was on the street. It was quiet.

We have stayed here before. We love the pool/hot rub area. We book here specifically for this area. This time the hot tub was out of service. I have been having back issues and really needed the hot tub therapy. We would have booked at a different place if we had known.

fire alarm went off-worker did not know or have keys to turn off. after hour outside in wind and rain. fire dept left and there was no alarm now if real fire- no sleep and was offered nothing

Most was OK for the price. However staffing is way low. There was no printed info in my room. When I couldn’t get the TV to operate, I tried calling the only # I could find on line went to voicemail. Went to the lobby, no one was around. I knocked on doors and called out and finally someone showed. The coffee maker in my room didn’t work. Had to get dressed & go to lobby for coffee.

The room was nice and had a spacious bathroom as well. I did ask the front desk about if the pool was open and they said yes however I did not take the time to actually check that out for myself. Room had what you would need bed, table, tv, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Room had a view of the ocean as well.

People got locked out because there’s no front desk after 10pm until 9am.
The windows on ground floor were left insecure and didn’t realize until we had unpacked and gone for a walk.
Continental breakfast supposed to be out for 9am. Nobody around, coffee and hot water depleted and got tired of waiting so left at 10am.

The location and check in were convenient. The room was comfortable with one exception - a residual oder of cigarettes especially in the bathroom . The coffee maker turned itself off prior to brewing
Lastly, I had to leave the hotel prior to the opening of the front desk so didn't get a receipt, which I need.

Well we have stayed here before, and loved it with all the amenities. We decided to come back for my daughter’s 4th birthday because she loves to swim and it turns out the pool is closed. But it was advertised on Expedia as being open. Was kind of a bummer. Luckily the weather was nice so that helped

I booked a king room with sea voew, but they gave me a double room without a view. When I refused to take the room and showed my reservation to them, he insisted the Expedia did not do that. After i started to call Expedia, he told me he coukd give me a seaview room the next day. I told him that I still needed to contact expedia to get refund for the price difference for the first night, he said there was a seaview room that needed to be cleaned. I came back in anout one hour, he gave me the key for the king room with seaview. The bathroom fan would not shut off even the controller was set to off. I had to shot the door to reduce the noice. The coffee maker did not work. The TV had no signal after one day. The breakfast was just a stale pastry. There was no staff until past 9am.

The hotel was clean but no room service. No phone in room, had to call the hotel and ask for toilet paper and Kleenex. When we checked out we were asked if everything was to our liking and said disappointed there was no room service and our small garbage cans were overflowing. He said we were supposed to ask for room service.

This hotel was in the process of being updated. Our room was on the 3rd floor - the elevator was handy! The front desk representative was very helpful with some dinner recommendations and providing a needed hair dryer. The room could have used some updating in the bathroom, but the cleanliness was appreciated. It was nice having an ocean view/sunset view, even though the ocean is still a good block away (bushes blocking the view of the actual beach, although you could see the waves). The beach was very accessible through a close by State Park where you could drive your car and park on the beach; long stretches of beach to walk/play. The hot tub was out of order, and the pool didn't look all that clean - both were situated in a very large warehouse-looking attached room - not very desirable/attractive. Overall, though, the room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

Needs a lot of work. Booked this hotel because of the hot tub and pool and the adult hours they have from 10-12. Even at check in the lady reminded us about the late adult pool hours. It was my husband and my 28th wedding anniversary and all we wanted to do was relax in the hot tub. Got all ready walked down to go into hot tub and it was ice cold. Extremely disappointed

The staff was polite and our room was very clean but the bed was old and there was no coffee pot in our room. However, they did have coffee and tea available 24 hours in the lobby. The coffee they provided was good quality.

We stayed here a few months ago when it was owned or managed by different people. Previously the staff were friendly, helpful and kind. The hotel was clean and the pool, hot tub and locker rooms were well maintained. This trip was different. While the one and only front desk person was nice enough, they were not helpful as I struggled with the luggage cart and 2 small grandchildren. There were limited supplies in the bathroom. I had to ask for shampoo and soap for the shower. The room
was clean, but not well stocked with coffee supplies and condiments. The pool was a major attraction for the grandchildren, but the hot tub was out of order and the pool and locker rooms were not cleaned for our entire 4 night/5 day stay. I hope that the new owners are only temporarily lacking in staff and basic cleaning/maintenance routines. We like this hotel for its family/pet friendliness, yet the upkeep and staffing need to improve.

Upon arrival we were greeted nicely at check i . Our big king bed room had a non working tv. After examining the tv, the front desk person moved us to a smaller king bed room where the tv worked. Nice ac/heat and bed and shower. A bit noisy at times. The small indoor pool is only 3-4 ft deep and well heated. The hot tub is out of order this summer. A small pastry and coffee are offered at 9am when the front desk opens each morning. We didn't get maid service, and I'm not sure why not. We did get some more towels and wash cloths upon request. We had a 3 night stay for $280, and this seemed like a pretty good deal really.

Front desk service was great, very friendly. Rooms are basic, bed are comfy, walls are pretty thin, if your neighbors have kids you will hear them all night long, especially in the hallway. Stayed with 2 kids under 5 and it was alright for a last minute trip. Note they are renovating at our time of stay.
