It was the last minute stay when I was working in the area very reasonably priced the room ended up being a sweet there was a hot tub and a pool and it was really a great stay all the way around everybody was nice I definitely stay again
2.5
Quiet, clean, comfortable overnight stay convenient to additional destinations
2.5
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and clean. Harbor right across street with amazing views.

The bed was very uncomfortable. It seems to sag in the middle. I am not sure why the air conditioner is mounted in the bathroom but it is a very poor set up and we could not get enough cool air from it.
2.0
The ROKU TV for TV entertainment is unacceptable. The front desk clerk actually had to sign into his private Spectrum account so we could watch network TV. Also, having to pay a premium cost for coffee and tea is unacceptable. We probably won’t stay there again for our yearly visit to Rockland.

Property could use some major upgrading. The a/c is located in the bathroom and the room was hot! They did a poor job on an attempt to put in a large shower with brown grout which they obviously didn’t wipe off the tile and the floor looks filthy! On a positive note, the staff is amazing!!!
2.5
Very comfortable stay. Easy walking to restaurants and harbour. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Views from the rooms amazing.
1.5
Room was small, no window. Not an ocean view as advertised. Floor was sticky. Mattress was worn out. Walls were so thin we hear everything next door. Staff was very nice. Good location.

I paid extra for a room with a balcony. I got a room with a larger than average window sill. This room was the only room I could see with a non-standard balcony. Clearly you should be booking it as a normal rate room with a bonus tiny imitation balcony, not charging people full balcony prices.

Sort of served our purposes, but not sure it’s one that I would recommend. The air conditioner was in the bathroom. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Anytime you used it and there were only a couple of outlets. Oh
1.5
There was a joining room that is not soundproof. Heard man in other room snoring all night and burping when awake. It was like he was in the room with us. TV was awful. Only saving grace was small outdoor balcony overlooking harbor.

Ironing board provided is a joke! You try it! Left dirty glass in kitchen sink overnight, covered in fruit flies in the morning.

Liked - the location and view from the room
Disliked - the beds were uncomfortable, noisy and sagging. The air-conditioning worked but it blew in my face, literally, hard and was incredibly noisy. I would have opened the balcony door but it had no screen and there were a few flies and bugs hanging around in the balcony. The fact that you can't sit in the lobby after 8, even if you are a guest, was ridiculous.

I have stayed at the Tradewinds many times and it is very conveniently located with a great view of the harbor. It also now has a nice little coffee bar right in the hotel.

Got stuck there. Only one Uber to Portland airport!!! Tried for 2 days!! Frustrating and costly.

We were warmly welcomed. The staff were exceptionally helpful

There was a nice view of the ocean from our mini deck big enough for two chairs only

There was a whole bunch of work going on. There are fixing things and painting things. Half of our lights didn’t work in our room. They don’t have any cable. The cleaning people barely come. The four days we stayed there they didn’t come once.
At night the lights were so bright in the hallway that the light Seoul’s one through the door.

Very clean and good stay. Comfortable and staff was super friendly

Although the property was updated with new paint and headboards behind the bed, it really needed to have updated vanities and toilets as they were so low to the ground. Old ceiling towels and peeling paint was in the bathroom area.

Comfy and staff was great

Great location, right across the street from lobster festival. Parking was a plus! Room was great, but bathroom could be updated. Our air conditioner made odd sounds but still kept room fresh. Pool was yellow so we didn't use it, also workout area was dated and was very dusty. This was good for what we needed, a safe, clean, fresh room to sleep.

We stayed two nights during the Maine Lobster Fest which was right across the street. We had a great view of the bay. Only negative is the floor needed to be cleaned more regular due to being vinyl. Our socks were dirty just from walking around the room.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Beds & bedding were comfortable and the room was clean. We enjoyed the little balcony with view of the harbor. The facility does need an update. The air conditioner was so noisy that we had to turn it off, making for an uncomfortable night. The TV remote didn't work and the bathtub faucet was so loose it looked as if it would fall off. I have stayed in many other three star hotels that were nicer. However, given the affordable rate and convenient location I feel we received decent value overall.
My biggest issue was communication. My initial reservation through Hotels.com with Trade Winds Inn, now a property of Hatchway Hotels, could not be honored and I was relocated to the adjacent Trade Winds on the Bay. The process required a half hour, repeatedly placed on hold, with a call center representative. Then followed a series of confusing emails and texts from Expedia, Hotels.com, and Trade Winds Inn which made me concerned that I had been double booked. None of this was the fault of Trade Winds on the Bay, but Hatchway Hotels in their partnership with Expedia and Hotels. com need to get their act together.

We loved the central location of this hotel to restaurants, shops, beaches and docks. The hotel was quiet and very clean. The staff was very friendly. We definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the Rockland area.

Rooms were spacious and well situated. Seems like every room has a view of the Harbor. Lighthouse museum across the street. 'Project Puffin' center directly around the corner. Shopping and restaurants within very close walking distance. Friendly staff.

Looks like the Trade Winds is going through some renovations, but our room was immaculately clean and you can’t beat the location.

Very clean

The property is under construction. The pool is alright, the sauna is broke, the hot tub is broke. We stayed on the interior of the property and the curtains were too short allow anyone to look into our room event when the curtains were completely dawn. The staff was extremely nice. It is very close to everything in town but due to the condition of the property I could not recommend.

Rooms were small and it was under construction. Sure it will improve

Having stayed at this hotel recently, and having had a very nice room with a kitchenette and jetted bathtub, I anticipated the same. However, I was quickly disappointed: stained carpeting, dented mini-fridge, door jam pulled an inch off the wall, furniture looked worn and old. The bed was comfortable enough for the 10hrs the room was utilized... but the price paid was extravagant for the condition.

It was very relaxing

The television wss not easy to operate , we couldn't watch the Celtics playoff game on abc . The pillows aren't that comfortable. No continental breakfast , long walks to the room. The room wasn't facing the ocean, it was facing a roof? The coffee in the room for the coffee maker was not for that type of coffee maker. I thinl I will stay somewhere else next visits.

Fabulous view of the harbor. They seemed to be renovating or replacing some items in the hotel. The room was clean. Air conditioner was loud. Balcony was nice yet we had no screen door. Walls in the room needed touch up paint in several spots. Bathroom was clean except for the fan vent that was quite dirty. The Roku tv was annoying - would buffer every 20 minutes or so.
