This property is not as advertised in the owner's description and photos. When we arrived at the property, Florence, the owner/host was there to meet us. I immediately realized that the house was not as pictured on the VRBO site. I told Florence that this is the wrong house. I showed her the printed images I brought with me from the VRBO property description page. Florence insisted it was the same house but did not update her photos to show the changes made prior to our arrival. Florence left the the property in a hurry as she informed me that she does not live on Mo`orea, she lived on Tahiti island and had to catch the last ferry back to Tahiti. Upon Florence's departure, my family and I did our best to settle in. We quickly realized that one of the bedroom's featured on VRBO showed a King sized bed. To our disbelief, the King bed had been removed and replaced with a child's toy bed making this bedroom non-usable by us. I rented a 4-bedroom property with King sized beds and now only have access to 3-bedrooms and 3 King sized beds. Upon further inspection of the property, the bathroom in the separate cottage is modified from the posted photos. The shower stall area is enclosed with full see-through glass that exposed the bather to the full view of the pool area and the neighbor's property. The photos also show a shower curtain and full under-sink cabinet; both of which were not present. The list of misrepresentation goes on however, VRBO doesn't allow enough space

This place is just perfect. It's not one of those generic vacation homes managed by an investor. This is someone's second home, so everything is perfectly dialed in. The location is unique, and we felt totally in touch with nature the whole time we were there. The porch and the pool are perfect. And the sliding doors keep a breeze going through the house. The house is simple. the furnishings are thoughtful. It's just perfect.

This property is so nice that we hardly wanted to leave it to see the amazing island we were visiting! The only difficulty was finding the place…but the property owner was there to help us find it. Waking up to the flocks of chestnut breasted Maniquines every morning was very special.

We did not want to leave - this beautiful property has a little bit of everything for everyone. My youngest daughter loved the 'pink room.' The rock shower was fantastic. Nothing can beat those views from the indoor/outdoor area; we lingered there as often as we could. Watching the sunrise from the lighthouse each morning was our favorite. We would love to visit this property again sometime with additional friends.

We had a great time. Our stay was for 6 day and we enjoyed every bit of it. The owners neighbor was waiting for us at the ferry and after we picked up our car (car is needed) we went to the house. A lovely place right on the water. The fact that there is no direct access to the ocean was compensated with a beautiful garden and a spacious pool. Florence had send us a list of what we could do plus a map to the next supermarket. Out of all recommendations we did all but one as we had to leave. The house was clean and comfortable, WiFi worked like a charm and the view of the ocean and the sound of the rolling waves made it perfect. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your „Perl“ we will be back.

Great house, particularly if you like snorkelling! We spent every afternoon out just by the lighthouse and around the reef just nearby spotting loads of fish! The pool was lovely and house itself well equipped for everything you’d need for a stay. Enjoyed our stay very much! Florence was also very helpful with all the Info we needed and a great host!

My husband and I, our children, their spouses and our four grandchildren had a wonderful time. The owner has a real knack for decorating and it was very cute. I would not suggest this for seniors or for anyone with a mobility issue. Stairs are steep and there are no handrails. The pool is wonderful and all of us enjoyed it. There is a full kitchen with an oven, four burner stove, apartment size refrigerator, small dishwasher and a washer and dryer. These were life savers with a large group. Out the backyard is the sea with the section closest to the house being very shallow. This is separated by a volcanic/coral formation to the sea. On the other side of the divide, the sea was waist to chest deep, depending on the tide. We walked on the volcanic rock/coral against the current and then floated with the current on rafts, paddle boards or we snorkeled. The kids collected hermit crabs and were fascinated by the sea life in the shallow water. Our son and son-in-law spear fished and caught our lunch one day. A car is a necessity!! There is no air conditioning but we slept fine using the provided fans. Remember to bring plenty of mosquito repellent, you will use this. There were two items that would change my rating to a five-star. You are expected to and will need to take the garbage to the dump. We went twice and could have done a third dump run on one of our last days. We were over going to the dump on our vacation! Providing several additional trash cans and having the house cleaning service or some other person empty the garbage is a necessity and needs to be addressed. The other item is as cute as they are, the geckos left numerous droppings mostly at night ALL over the house. Florence is a wonderful and informative hostess/owner. We made memories that will last a lifetime. I think you will too!
