About this house rental
Summary:
Only minutes away from everything central in Sacramento, this newly updated 1950’s gem is super close to many shops , local breweries, the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento State University, great eateries, major highways, bustling midtown and the UC Davis Med Center.
Our goal is that each guest have a great lodging experience. We can only hope that part of this is achieved through great amenities, art and the unique, homey space we’ve worked hard to create.
The Space:
The entire 2 bedroom house is available for access. There’s a small front porch that guests are welcome to enjoy as well as a backyard area equipped with chairs and a table.
PARKING: If you have a car, please park on the street in front of the house or in the driveway space immediately next to the house.
The Neighborhood:
Med Center is an established neighborhood and generally safe and quiet. The residents are easy going. The house itself is about a 5 minute walk from the always fun broadway triangle; an area with great shops, eateries, a brewery, and a kick ass bookstore. We love the Plant Foundry (nursery and garden) and think you might, too.
Also close by is one of the city’s famed brunch spots- Bacon and Butter. It’s got tons of delicious options. Get there early to beat the line.
Getting Around:
If you get the chance, try the city's newest form of transit - electric scooter sharing! E scooters are becoming more and more popular in the area and are a really fun way to get around. Uber and Lyft ride shares are certainly available too!
Public transportation runs up and down the main cross street (Broadway). Midtown is a 3 minute car ride away.
Other Things to Note:
NOTE: We do NOT HAVE cable services. We offer streaming services such as Netflix, Roku, Prime, & Hulu. (Guest has to use their own Netflix account)
Interaction with Guests:
At the front door, you can say "Hello" with the Ring Video Doorbell - just push the button (if you want to).
When you walk in, just say "Computer, turn on the lights!"
We leave basic household information on the dining room table - wifi, tv navigation, lights, temperature control instructions , etc. Amazon prime, Netflix, and HBO Max are also available for guest use.
If you'd like advice on where to go for great food, entertainment or even a leisurely hike, just let us know.
If you need anything else, we can meet, you can call, or we can message.
Note: To get in the backyard, use the second gate closest to the neighbors home.

This is my second time at this property. It is close to our
family and is convenient to restaurants and parks. Michael is prompt to respond to any questions and also offer suggestions for places to try. The place is spotless and has plenty of room to relax. I will definitely stay here as my first choice if it is available.,

EVerything about this place was as advertised. The location is convenient to several restaurants and coffee houses. It has plenty of room and can comfortably fit a family for a trip. The rooms are spacious and lots of nice touches to make it feel like home. I especially liked the big fluffy towels that are provided. For me, it was extremely convenient to faily that lives just down the street. I would definatle ystay there again if Michael will have me.

We were there for only two nights. I had a little bit of a hard time figuring out the thermostat to get the heater on.

We so enjoyed our stay at Art House. The house was comfortable, we loved each having a TV in the bedrooms (although I never turned mine on) and adjoining bathrooms, the kitchen was adequate for cooking meals, the sofa was comfy and we both slept very well in the beds. The neighborhood was interesting and we enjoyed walking our dog in the area.
We love that our dog was welcome and he loved learning to use the doggie door. When we're back in Sac, we'll definitely stay in this home again if it's available.

We really enjoyed our family stay at this property. The location was central to all the places we visited, great nearby restaurants, grass to walk dog, off-street parking, and a lot of character. I would look to stay here again on next visit to the area.
Everything was as-stated and entry instructions clear, so had no need to contact host.

My sister and her husband stayed at the house for a couple of weeks as she was undergoing medical treatment at nearby UC Davis Medical Center this summer. The property manager responded quickly to queries, and my sister and BIL said that the house was beautiful and conveniently located, which aided greatly in her healing journey. Thank you so much for the warmth and hospitality.
