We were excited about this trip as we have never been to Maine. We were looking for something on the quiet side of Acadia so Southwest Harbor became the area we focused on. There were tons of listings and they all looked great but there was something about Grammys. Let’s just say location, location, location. The actual property was nicer than the photos, very well equipped and communication with property management was excellent! We enjoyed coffee on the deck while we overlooked the marina as lobster boats began their day. Hiking and sightseeing during the day was awesome but also tiring. Returning to Grammys, we enjoyed evening cocktails on the deck as we watched returning lobster boats off load their catches of the day. We chatted with several captains and crew about their day and even got their insights on best places for lobster!
Grammys was as much a part of our adventure as was Acadia or Swans Island. The atmosphere, sights and sounds of the marina enhanced our trip incredibly. As they advertise, this is indeed a working marina so there is some noise and commotion but we thought that was a plus!
We did cook in one night and the blackstone was awesome (had to take a break from all the lobster and butter :)) Sunsets were always a welcomed addition as we enjoyed the salty air and cocktails on the deck. The only possible draw back might be the two flights of stairs but we can assure you, it is worth it! Archie’s and Rodick’s are Captains choices!!! The best!!

I was hesitant about this place being close to the working harbor. It turned out it was so relaxing to sit and watch the boats come and go. Noise level was nothing like we were expecting. Best place we stayed, spacious, clean, lovely decor and very private. Walked to Beal’s Lobster. A definite keeper on our list of places to stay! Easy in and out.

My family of 5 didn't know where we were staying, and they were amazed by the spaciousness of the apartment and the amazing view! We enjoyed barbecuing and watching the lobster boats unload on the front deck, and hanging out for some nice family time on the back deck. The owners were kind and responsive to our questions. The town was really cute and we were not far from Acadia, where we spent most of our time hiking. Would highly recommend this apartment.

This place is a dream! Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights, and my only regret was that we hadn't booked a longer stay. I could sit out on that deck all day and night, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells from the harbor. Would love to come back and, would highly recommend staying here.

We LOVED it here. We were so pleased with the cleanliness and how well kept everything is in the apartment. The front and back patios were amazing. Watching the ships heading out while we had breakfast in the morning and then having wine on the rooftop patio with the firepit at night made for a magical stay! Maya and Sasha were absolutely wonderful and had some great tips on how to make the most of our stay. We definitely recommend hiking in Acadia and taking a fishing or sightseeing trip with Island Cruises in Bass Harbor.

We loved waking up everyday by drinking a coffee and watching the boats go out. Pretty much perfect.

Home was beautiful and clean. Had everything we needed for our stay. Communication was fantastic. I was a bit worried about the lack of a/c but this was not a problem, as 2 fans were available. The listing was very upfront about the noise from the working docks, however, we barely heard anything even with the open windows. I would recommend this rental!

Great upper apartment with amazing views of the harbor. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. As a suggestion, this is the first VRBO that we've stayed in (and we've stayed in several) that didn't provide small samples of shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap for the shower. That would have been convenient as we had to purchase those items at the local store. All in all, good experience.
