The Space:
INSIDE
This historical home was built in 1922 and has been remodeled over the years. It is a three-bedroom, one bonus room, two-bath, two-story, and 1,400-square-feet. You enter the home into the dinning area which has a large table with built in bench seating. There is a flat screen TV (in fact, there is a smart in every room of the home) and there is access to the backyard through a gate just outside the door.
The fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances is located next to the dinning room and has a breakfast bar with 4 barstools. The bar overlooks the living room that has a flat screen TV and overlooks the private, serene backyard.
BEDROOMS
There are three bedrooms and a laundry/bonus room in this home. If you need information on the house layout please send an inquiry for the virtual tour.
BATHROOMS
There are two full bathrooms. The bathroom off the living room has a single sink with a bathtub/shower combo and the hall bathroom has a single sink with a standing shower.
OUTSIDE
Unlike most homes in the area there is a large grassy lawn and yard games like cornhole and a badminton/volleyball net. The concrete patio has two picnic tables with umbrellas for six guests each and a second pub table with four high-top chairs. There is an outdoor TV facing the concrete patio and grill area. The balcony overlooks the yard and hot tub from the primary bedroom. The yard is gated, private, and perfect for dogs.
Guest Access:
You will be able to access the entire home and yard.
The Neighborhood:
Sunset Beach is the charming California beach community many still dream about. Stretching just 1.5 miles from Anderson Street to Warner Avenue, it features one of the widest beaches in Southern California and a parallel pastoral 14-acre park, known as the "Green Belt," where residents of the quiet seaside community walk their dogs and children enjoy the playground.
Getting Around:
There is onsite parking for 3 vehicles plus street parking for up to 3 more cars in front of the parking gate. The house is steps from the sand and walking distance from a coffee shop and restaurants.
Other Things to Note:
TVS:
There is no basic cable, the home has WIFI and smart TV's with a few channels and the availability to log into your own streaming services.
AC/HEAT:
Like the majority of Sunset Beach homes there is no air conditioning as it is rarely needed in the dry, breezy Southern California coastal climate. There is heat for the winter months, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and portable fans.
WASHER/DRYER:
There is a full size washer and dryer in the bonus room as well as detergent and dryer sheets.
ACCESABILITY:
There are a couple of stairs to enter the home, stairs to reach one of the bedrooms, and a few stairs to both the bonus room and the backyard.
STREET NOISE:
The house has a great location as it is only 5 homes from the beach but it is located on a double lot with the yard being adjacent to a major street. There may be varying levels of street noise depending on the time of day but it is typically quiet in the evenings. The speed limit is 45 mph and there is a stoplight .1 miles South and .3 miles from the North.
GUEST NOISE:
Parties or excessive noise will not be tolerated. The home has outdoor surveillance equipment and we reserve the right to remove guests who are excessively noisy, exceed occupancy, or have a party of more than 10 people. Our city permit allows for only 10 guests with no exceptions.
PETS:
Clean, well behaved dogs are allowed on the property (2 maximum) . The pet fee must be paid as a deeper cleaning is done after each dog which includes a double vacuum and lint rolling all furniture. Cats are not allowed.
Interaction with Guests:
You will be able to reach us 24/7 in the event of an emergency via phone, the app, or text and the owners live nearby.
