About this cabin rental
Oak Crescent is conveniently located smack in the middle of trendy, hip, and adorable downtown Clayton, GA’s historic district. Walk to artsy Main St in 20 seconds flat or stay put and enjoy the fenced yard, tire swing, and fire pit. This 1920’s bungalow has been renovated with a mid century flare and decorated with love and attention to detail. With vibrant colors and fun kitsch, if you can’t be happy here, you cant be happy anywhere.
The Property: Oak Crescent includes a 1/2 acre fenced grassy yard with the most beautiful 100 year old oak (complete with tire swing for the young at heart). In summer, the house is engulfed with native hydrangeas. Enjoy the fresh mountain air from one of many outdoor perches or cozy around the large firepit for 5.
The Cabin: Walk through that robins egg blue door and you have arrived to the most quaint of mountain abodes. With the vaulted tin roof in the main area, guests will be begging for a rainy day. The use of bright, fun colors make it nearly impossible not to wake up on the right side of the bed. Finishes include all shiplap walls, wide-plank hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and Jenn Air appliances.
The Layout: From the front porch, guests enter into an open main living area that houses the gathering room (with wood stove), dining room for 7, and kitchen in the rear (with coffee nook). Both ensuite bedrooms are off of the main living area (one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed). Off the kitchen, there is a half bath and steps leading down to the basement bunk nook with 3 twin beds and a laundry area.
The Area: Experience the charm of Downtown’s shops, bars, restaurants, and live music. Enjoy our local wineries, amazing boating on Lake Rabun & Burton, endless scenic hiking trails, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, trophy-worthy trout fishing and everything else beautiful Rabun County has to offer.
The Details: The living room, both bedrooms, and the bunk nook all have flat screen smart TV’s for streaming. We also have wifi. The kitchen is stocked with general kitchen essentials. This property is pet friendly with prior approval and a nominal pet fee. Parking is available for 3 cars. We expect our guests to be respectful of our home and our neighbors. If the (very reasonable) house rules are not adhered to, you’ll be asked to leave. Absolutely no parties.

Great location right behind Main with all the shops and restaurants that’s an easy walk to get to. Just know that everything is DONE at 9pm even on Fri/Sat in downtown Clayton. Fenced yard was large and gave the dogs plenty of room to explore. Deceivingly larger inside and the extended deck and fire pit area would allow for entertaining if you had more staying. Nicely appointed throughout and comfy bed in the primary (that’s the only place we slept). Somebody did a nice job renovating this house and maximizing the space while also bringing in a modern touch and retaining a classic bungalow aesthetic. Could see this being the perfect rental for 2 couples and a few kids as a home base for exploring the area. Would definitely stay hear again!

Lots of experience with Kristi's properties in Highlands so knew what to expect in Clayton. Was not disappointed as the cabin was furnished and outfitted with care. Wonderful place to stay and right in town though felt like plenty of privacy. We could walk all over town for shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes. Also good for exploring and hiking in nearby trails. The furnishings and kitchen equipment felt just like being at home. So nice to have a place to go to change the scenery and relax. Julep Farms was very nice to spend a couple hours and a short drive from Clayton.

From the start this house felt so warm and inviting and cozy. Every detail has been thought out from the decor to the amenities to the layout. The outdoor space is phenomenal - especially with kids and our dog. We loved the walkability to the historic downtown and ease of drive to the Highlands and even Cashiers. We had an amazing time exploring and and equally just hanging out in the house, playing games and enjoying time together. We will be back so soon!

This beautifully decorated and cozy home was a perfect place for our family. We enjoyed everything the home had to offer. My kids loved swinging on the tire swing outside and playing board games that were provided. The proximity to the town could not be beat. We walked to dinner and to coffee in the morning. This was also very quite and we slept great in the comfortable beds and lovely bedding provided. We had everything we needed and our family of 6 would definitely stay here and again and recommend to friends.

This by far the best location you can be at if your are visiting Clayton and the north GA mountains. You can walk to so many shops and restaurants. Very short walk also. The house is perfect. Everything you need to cook your own meals. Cooked thanksgiving dinner and everything I needed was right in the kitchen. If you are looking for the perfect place to take your family, look no further than the Oak Crescent home in Downtown Clayton.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oak Crescent cottage in Clayton, GA. The cottage was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Our granddaughter loved the tire swing out front and we all enjoyed the fire pit in the evening.
This cabin is behind historic Main Street and is an easy walk to great restaurants, a new wine bar and wonderful shops. We plan to return next year!
