About this cottage rental
A traditional homely log cabin, situated right in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park.. 3 steps to entrance.
All on the Ground Floor:
Living room/kitchen: Freeview TV, Breakfast Area, Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: Bunk (2ft 6in) Beds
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included.. Front garden with sitting-out area. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. This peaceful log cabin park is within the International Dark Sky Reserve and surrounded by countryside views, if you’re lucky you may even spot the jets from the RAF who regularly use the area as a training ground.
You can go fishing, cycling, and walking at nearby Trawsfynydd Lake, or for more experienced walkers, the Rhinog mountains. Thrill seekers will love the exciting adventures available in Blaenau Ffestiniog, from underground trampolining in an old slate cavern at Bounce Below, to flying over the old slate quarries at the world’s largest zip wire zone at Zip World, it’s all here! Blaenau Ffestiniog is also the starting point for the little steam trains of the famous Ffestiniog Railway, they twist and turn through the hills on a spectacular journey down to the coast at Porthmadog.
South of Trawsfynydd, there is more of the Snowdonia National Park to explore, including the outdoor centre at Coed Y Brenin Forest Park which is only a 10-minute drive from the cabin and offers you cycle hire and a huge range of forest walks. There is also the pretty market town of Dolgellau which has a wide range of individual shops. There’s a vast array of historic sites within easy reach. A short drive away will bring you to the imposing World Heritage site of Harlech Castle and the popular seaside town of Barmouth.
