About this house rental
Bring your whole family to this Coastal California getaway with lots of room for relaxation and fun! The home's spectacular amenities--a soft water filtration/alkline drinking water supply system, power shades, surf/boogie boards, beach toys and gear, to name a few--make this your ideal family destination spot. The home's indoor and outdoor spaces are perfect for both family gatherings & as a work-from-home destination, within walking distance to the beach and neighborhood restaurants & stores.
The space
This bright and spacious tri-level home has one staircase connecting all three levels that is located in the entryway of the home.
The first floor has two large bedrooms (with gliding door closets), one with a queen size bed and dedicated work space, and the other with a bunk bed and toddler bed. For guests staying on the first floor, there is a full bathroom on the same floor with a tub/shower combo.
The second floor is the heart of this home and has an open concept floor plan. The breezy living room has remarkably tall ceilings, a fireplace, TV and a sliding door access to the same floor balcony with al fresco dining, a small BBQ grill and an outdoor lounger. The dining area is adjacent to the living room and has a dining table/chairs for 6 people along with 2 bar stools that can be dropped down to the same height as a regular dining room chair to increase the seating around the table to 8 people. The dining area flows seamlessly into the full kitchen with Thermador appliances, including an impressive range with a mini oven (for quick reheating jobs) in addition to full oven and griddle, a pot filler, a dishwasher and a full refrigerator with a pull-out freezer compartment. The kitchen also has another under-the-counter refrigerator for drinks and a drinking faucet with alkline water supply. The entire house is on a soft water filtration system. Children's toys, games and books for guest use are in the kitchen island and cabinets. Comfortable couches throughout the common areas invite you to sink in and relax. A half bathroom is conveniently located near the kitchen.
The large master suite with an en-suite master bathroom is located on the second floor as well and has power shades, a fan, TV, fireplace, and dedicated work space. The en-suite master bathroom features dual sinks, a freestanding tub and a glass shower with a dual shower head and handle and a built-in bench.
The third floor has a second living room/lounge/den area with its own full sized bathroom (shower only) and access to the second balcony where guests can enjoy a glimpse of the ocean, an outdoor fireplace and lounge around with a drink or play a round or two of the cornhole game. There is a sink and under-the-counter refrigerator in the covered third floor outdoor patio/balcony area to keep drinks and refreshments cool.
The laundry area in the garage has a full size washer and dryer along with a sink and clothing rack for hang drying. Beach towels are provided for guest use along with surf and boogie boards and a box full of beach toys--everything that you would need for family fun at the beach! A treadmill and yoga mat and yoga blocks in the garage are available for guest use along with a jogging stroller, a high chair and a booster feeding chair.
The home is only a few blocks from the beach and has a great cross breeze with the windows open. Often, you can hear seals at night.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and the garage to park one standard vehicle. The driveway is shared with the house located in the back of the home so please only use it for ingress/egress to the garage. There will be no one else on the property other than weekly gardener unless otherwise discussed with guests in advance.
All stays over 30 days in length will require a mid-stay cleaning by our professional housekeeping team at guest's cost. It includes full clean of the house and change of linens. Payment will be requested after booking confirmation.
Other things to note
By booking this home, you agree to sign our Property Agreement. You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent to you only AFTER you have successfully signed our Property Agreement.
Pets and animals are not permitted at this property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed by you and us in writing PRIOR to booking. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in an additional charge of up to $1,000 and/or eviction in addition to any other legal and/or equitable remedies available to us or the owner.
For any items left behand after check-out that guests desire to be returned to them, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $50. Otherwise, such items will be donated to a local charity unless claimed by a guest within 7 days of check-out.
There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out.
The home has an elevator that has been disabled by the owner.
