Nice place to stay. Easy ride to Assateague Beach. Enjoyed the pool to relax in. The playroom garage was great to watch the Olympics on the big screen and the table worked well for our grandgirls to work on Legos. The upstairs extra room was great for our young grandkids to sleep and play in.

It was in need of spring cleaning

Our multi generational family of 11 people easily fit in this house. It was clean and comfortable, well stocked although could use a dishwasher. We took full advantage of the bonus sleeping room, as well as the garage rec room. Loved it.

We all had an amazing stay! Overall, the property is very nice and comfortable. Our only small complaints that we had is that there are not enough places to hang towels in the upstairs bathroom, and there is an ant problem in this house. It’s nothing major but still something to consider. Other than that, the property is wonderful!

My friends and I rented the property for a bachelorette weekend. The property was as describe. The decor was cute. The rooms were spacious. The garage space was nice to hangout in. The backyard fire pit was awesome for at night. It’s was very close to everything in town. The only issue I had was that there were ants in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. It was annoying but overall I liked the property. The hosts provided contact information if support was needed.

The house was really nice!it should have been cleaned better tho...ceiling fans were really dusty, under and behind furniture was really dirty.surrounding the house, yard work and flower beds wer not kept up.But beds wer super comfortable!we had rented linens and for how expensive they were the quality was super cheap and they're werent any dish clothes along like it said.but we made it work.it could use small improvements but think id rent again if vacationing with our group of friends ever happens in virginia again.

The house was very welcoming, clean, and well-stocked with cooking supplies, games, and beach related items. The beds were excellent: very comfortable!

The Happy Place was a great place to stay. It had everything we needed (including beach chairs and umbrellas). The kitchen was well stocked with every supply you could think of. The children loved the garage, including the cute boat sandbox! Communication with the property manager was great. We will stay again!

We had a lovely reunion with some old friends here! The house was beautiful, with large bedrooms, and lots of room to lounge around. It was well stocked with everything you need to cook, lots of games and even fire starter supplies. One of the best things they had in the to do book was to have a fire on the beach, which is legal on that area. They had everything we needed to have a lovely evening on the beach, and a perfect weekend spend with friends!

The house is just as presented in the summary. It is beautifully decorated and perfect for our family. I love the accent lighting. The rooms were spacious. The house had everything we needed from the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms to the garage and outdoor deck. We would love to make more family memories at Chincoteague's My Happy Place.

Our party of 12 had a great time at this beautiful home on Chincoteague Island. The home is clean, albeit smaller than expected, and common areas stocked with games and TVs for entertainment. There is a binder located in the banister hallway outlining the rules of the home and where you can find answers to FAQs.
A few major things to note: this property is not a personal rental home, but one of many owned by the company Seaside Vacations. This made the home feel impersonal, but more importantly caused hiccups in receiving clear answers about the home. Many of our inquiries to Lance prior to arrival went unanswered. As a result, we weren't able to receive the correct code to the shed holding the bikes until our second to last day. This was a huge bummer for our party of 12 that was looking forward to biking around the island together. (Note: at the end, many of the bikes turned out unusable, with broken brakes and such.) That being said, a lovely representative from Seaside went above and beyond in attempts to help, communicating with us via phone and text, even off the clock.
HUGE issue to note: the bathroom on the upper floor is only accessible through the entrance to the King room (also connects to the bonus Margarita room). Linens for the beds are not provided, which guests do not discover until the check in email received the day before arrival. While linens are available for rent, they have to be requested 7 days in advance from the rental company. House essentials such as hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags, toilet paper, and kitchen spices are also not provided. Cookware and dishes are aplenty, but are cleansed only by the guests before you, so ensure you thoroughly rinse prior to use.
Overall, we had a great time at this house but wished there had been clearer communication prior to arrival about what was to be expected, both of us and from us. Decent location, not exactly walkable to downtown or the Wildlife Refuge, but easily drivable.
