Newly constructed 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with full laundry facilities. In floor radiant heat will keep the chill out, or you can enjoy riverfront sunsets from the open-air covered deck, 25 feet above the ground (stairway to the front door has 33 steps). Stainless steel appliances include refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and gas cooktop with electric oven. Single serving coffee maker is ready to brew a cup of your favorite hot beverage for those chilly evenings around Juneau or after a day on the slopes. All cookware, kitchen amenities and dishes are provided. Both bedrooms have top/down, bottom/up black out window shades for a peaceful rest. Bedroom closet organizers host all your travel and adventure clothing. High speed Starlink wireless internet keeps you connected and your favorite streaming services are available on the smart TV. Wander down just a few steps to the river to enjoy passing wildlife at the end of the day, or take a stroll to the Mendenhall Wetlands trail, merely 300 yards from the doorstep. The beautiful 3 mile nature trail along the river and wetlands is a short walk down the street. You’ll enjoy spotting wildlife in the bird refuge while surrounded by mountains with a view of the Mendenhall Glacier in the distance. The airport is a 10-15 minute walk or a 1 minute drive. Coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping is also walking distance away. Mendenhal Glacier visitors center is a 10 minute drive. Plenty of parking in the paved driveway. CBJ1000115.

We had a fabulous visit. The apartment seems newly re-done. It was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. If anything, John, the host under sells the place. All the pictures on VRBO are of the really nice interior but there are also great views out the bedroom windows and from the super nice porch. The property is right on the Mendenhall River but down by the wider part of the river so out of the recent flood areas. Other than the super nice accommodations, the best part was that it is walking distance from an amazing walking area around the Juneau airport right next to a wildlife refuge. It is a 3 mile walk through the refuge straight from the house with eagles and shore birds everywhere. Gorgeous. I would highly recommend this stay... but don't book it when we want to come next.

We had a great stay at this conveniently located brand new property! John, the host, was easy to communicate with and was accommodating with changes to our travel plans. If we needed anything, we had it by the next day. There’s just about every type of pan you could need, in addition to olive oil, and a full rack of spices for cooking. The radiant floor heating kept the place comfortable all the time. We look forward to staying here again!
