You will make unforgettable memories at Crazy Bear Cove! You’ll enjoy it so much you will want to make this your yearly, home away from home! THIS PROPERTY HAS SEASONAL WATER. WATER IS ACCESSIBLE AT THE COVE FROM THE END OF APRIL UNTIL MID SEPTEMBER. The property does offer a view of the lake (from the side of the property) for a couple months before and after the seasonal water.
This information is for water months at the Cove….
The Cove seems like your own private playground. Our dock is the only in the cove so there is no need to worry about other boat traffic. You can float, boat, fish, paddle and swim until your heart is content. We do offer three kayaks for your use. You will have your own floating dock with swim ladder and a private pier with comfortable Adirondack chairs to relax and chill! Summer water depth in the Cove is 10 to 15 feet deep. The walk down to the water is mostly stoned and in a zigzag pattern to assist with the steepness of the hill, however, this is a “walk” for some. Bring your boat or rent a boat from one of the local marinas.
*Indoor fireplace is closed for the summer months
* Please note, there is NO VAPING/SMOKING OF ANY TYPE in the cabin.
*NO PET/ANIMALS (no exceptions). If you arrive with a pet animal, your access code will be deleted and reservation will be cancelled without refund.
*No Parties. Your group will be held financially responsible for any damage done to the property during your stay.
*There are security cameras ONLY on the exterior of the property for security purposes. By booking, you are consenting to the use of working security cameras outside the cabin.

3 generations gathered here for a summer getaway that included boating, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and rollercoaster riding—all from this secluded cabin. The accommodations are wonderful and it puts you right near all the “stuff” without being in the middle of all the people. The rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen and grill were great for preparing our own meals. Bring your own water toys or use theirs! You’re all alone while you’re there and 30-40 minute drives gets you to any excursion. We loved it!

Great stay. Beautiful cabin in a very private cove. It was a perfect escape. Very clean, the hosts were extremely accessible and accommodating, the property was great for swimming, fishing, kayaking, sitting by the fire pit, relaxing together to watch a movie. They have lots of fun games from video games to board games, a pool table, and more. Close enough for day trips to pigeon forge/gatlinburg area.

The house was above expectations. Little nice added extra treats and snacks that the kids enjoyed. We were disappointed that the lake was low and couldn’t fish but other than that the house was perfect, me and my husband brought teenage boys up for the lowered car show and the separate rooms with the adjoining bathroom was nice. They liked the pool table with big tv and big couch in the living room. There was more than enough supplies for cooking in the kitchen, we wouldn’t have had to brought anything. We highly recommend!

Very clean. Just may want to give guest a heads up on steep drive. We may have missed on our end. The place is wonderful and has everything and more!!!

The property owners went above and beyond for our family. They know what kids like. The amenities of this house from the arcade, pool table to the provided canoes, were all fantastic. We enjoyed spending time on the screened in porch, around the fire pit and had a family movie night. Its been a month and our kids are ready to go back.

Our family was thoroughly impressed with this cabin from our first step through the door. The hosts had special treats for our kids. The bedroom set up was perfect our family. We enjoyed time inside the cabin in the evenings and during the day in the private cove in the lake during the day. The location is perfect to drive and enjoy area attractions as well. Loved making special memories we won’t forget.

I really recommend booking Crazy Bear Cove!! It was amazing and blew our expectations. The lake behind the house is amazing. Had a lot of fun in the kayaks and was just an overall great experience. A lot to do around the area as well! Rented a pontoon at Douglass lake and it was super easy and affordable. Host had great communication and was very attentive the whole process. I’m already planning a trip back here soon!

Family got together this year at Crazy Bear Cove at it was amazing. Darrin and Michelle were amazing host. The house had so much to keep everyone occupied, from games, to the lake, to the short drive to all of the near by attractions we enjoyed it all. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and docked it at the house, had the freedom to play on the lake or just swim in the back of the property. Darrin made sure we had everything we needed and stayed connected the entire trip, definitely made the trip a success for the family. The house has everything you need to from lake towels to coffee cups…..these guys have thought of everything and it’s there ready for you. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem!

Great experience. Cabin is just as portrayed in listing. Owner/property manager had snacks and ingredients for s’mores for us, which was a nice touch. The water was really low during our stay. Steep trail down to the water. We really enjoyed the card games and fire pit.

This was probably one of my favorite VRBO's. The home is great. Darrin and Michelle have made sure to make it homey and have everything you could need for a stay. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Nice pots and pans to cook on, plenty of plates, glasses, etc.
If you have teens, this house is a must! We have 4 teens, (17 and 3 13yrs old) We were engaged as a family all week, without having anyone wondering off to the bedroom or to a basement or somewhere else. The family room has a pool table, checkers, an arcade game and plenty of card games. We could all be together while everyone played whatever they wanted.
Darrin was great with communication. I would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was clean and just as described. Extra hospitality touches (s’mores, fire changing color packets and various snacks) we’re icing on the cake! Drive to Pigeon Forge for activities is about half an hour on country roads and very pleasant. Scenery was relaxing, we enjoyed the grill, fire pit, and all the games as well. Internet is not super fast and cell reception was spotty for us. Not terrible as we didn’t come out here to work during our vacation. Overall this was a fantastic place and the hosts were very nice and accommodating.

Crazy Bear Cove was just about perfect. It was a great place to deliver us a great lake experience. The place itself was extremely clean and well kept. The pool table was fun and so was the fire pit. Our family enjoyed both. The walk down and back to the dock was a little challenging, but we got used to it, especially once we docked our rented boat there. The kitchen was terrific for cooking and entertaining. The cove was quiet and great for swimming too. And you couldn't find a nicer, more welcoming neighborhood. Same with the hosts - thank you so much for everything. All in all, we would truly consider staying here again.

We had the best time! The house was so nice and spacious and offered a lot of special touches for adults and children! The hike down to the water was a little tough, but worth it! Beautiful property and lake!
