Unfortunately the stay at this hotel was the worst. 1.They don't have parking, you have to look for it and pay for it. 2. the bed was horrible, very dirty (dusty) 3. There was a lot of noise in the next room all night. Also, breakfast hours are from 06:00 to 08:00, when it is normally from 06:00 to 09:00.

Location was great. Just a 10 minute walk from Citi Field . Mall and restaurants steps away. However, the free breakfast was not existent, and the place were the breakfast was supposed to be was dirty and had trash from previous day.

On a busy corner in the Chinatown area of Flushing. Walking distance to many restaurants. Roome was clean an functional. Kind of noisy from street traffic even though on a high floor. They said there was breakfast , but really just some old kids cereal and juice. No easy coffee. Microwave needed a deep clean, I would not use it.
It was good for one night.

The hotel looks fairly new”. The amenities are ok. The overall aspect is ok.
The walls are paper thin and you can literally hear the people in the rooms next door talking word for word!!!
The cleanliness is 1/10!!
First room was covered in hair from the bed, the floor, the toilet seat, the shower walls and the sink.
The front desk guy moved us to a second room and at first we didn’t notice it, but after we had gotten in bed with the children and they had fallen asleep since it was two in the morning we noticed hair once again in both beds.
They “make up the rooms, by just resetting the same sheet. If you lift up the sheets, the fitted sheets underneath have stains all over.
Very disgusting!!
The ice from the ice machine is who knows how old because the ice buckets had more dust in them then you would find in a dust pan. Also you can see from the attached pictures that the water filter has not been changed since December 2023 and it’s clearly brown as can be!!

Nice room but air conditioning was confusing and barely worked. Very skeletal staffing.
Great convenient location and very walkable.

The beds were comfortable. Very clean. Would stay again.

Comfortable, clean and next to a mall which was convenient.

They charge extra $50. Because we came little bit earlier

It was a fantastic stay at this hotel, we stayed for a night. The staff was really helpful. This hotel is at good/prime location in Flushing area. You can also leave your luggage here after check out.
Highly recommended.

Positive points:
- I arrived a little earlier (1h before 3pm) and they let me into the room without any problem (I believe this varies according to the hotel's capacity and time of year)
- Close to metro and bus stations
- Shopping Mall practically next door (Skyview) with excellent stores such as Target, Sephora and Outlets (Adidas and Nike)
- There were 2 bottles of mineral water in the room for consumption (complimentary)
- Decor just like in the pictures (very good taste)
- Comfortable and very clean bed
- Huge windows that allowed a view of the city
- Clean bathroom with clean, fresh-smelling towels
- Glass cups (2 pieces) for brushes in the bathroom
- Quality shampoo, conditioner and liquid body soap
- Very efficient and quiet bathroom extractor fan
- Shower with perfect hot and cold water
- You pay the agreed price and there are no surprises at check-out
- Professional staff
- They allow you to leave your bags at reception (they give you security tags) while you can do some shopping at the mall next door before your flight
Negative points:
- There is breakfast, but it's just a small stand in reception with some snacks and cereals. If you want to have a more hearty coffee, I suggest Iris Tea & Bakery with great options. The place is beautiful and you can walk because it's on the main Roosevelt Avenue.
- The location may be a problem as it's not in Manhattan But it's great for seeing across the city to the island.
- No minibar (if that's your thing)

Overall the property was fine. Relatively new construction. The room was clean.
Several things were broken. A light didnt work and the screen had fallen out of the window. I shared with the front desk but they didnt seem too interested. The included breakfast was boxes of cereal on a small table by the elevator. Meh.
I had a room with a fridge and stove, but there were no dishes or any way to cook and most importantly no microwave.
The location was great and served my purposes well, but overall not impressed. From my perspective the hospitality team and quality control could use an overhaul as reflected in some of the other reviews.
One other point if you are trying to get to Flushing Meadows METs or BJK from here via foot there are sketchy areas in between and not recommended at least at night.

The Starlight Hotel's location is fantastic. Very close to Subway and Busses. Close to a myriad of restaurants offering every imaginable cuisine. The hotel rooms are small but well appointed. My room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. For a short trip, especially for one traveler, the Starlight is great.

This hotel seems pretty new but the furnitures are already broken, bedsheets are stained and have holes.
There is a kitchen but nothing to make a meal, no plates, no ustensils, no pans. The cupboards were empty except for a dirty towel left here by housekeeper who obviously didn't clean this room.
The room was not ready at check-in time as housekeeper was still cleaning it.
Let me have doubt..Dust on the walls, stain on sheets, dirty towel, hairs in bathroom..
There was also a loud party in the room next to ours, it was smelling cigarettes and weed in the corridor and in our room.It was midnight.
We had to call the reception twice and the day after we made a complaint but the employees at the front desk didn't care and that seemed pretty normal to them.
The folding couch was broken and they didn't tell us, we had to complain and they provided a single folding bed.
That wasn't what I paid for.
They didn't want to make a refund, even partialy but I had compensation from Expedia.
The only good thing is the location close to flushing main street and the subway.
I won't recommend to book here and advise to look for better alternatives in the area.
Not worth the price at all!

The view of the city was good.

Not as good as it’s advertised in the app

The hotel is a short walk to and from the US Open (25 min) and if that is your top priority than I highly recommend the Starlight. To classify cereal and white toast as 'breakfast included' is a little loose and fast with even the most minimal of expectations and the room smelled strongly of cleaning supplies, but the place was fairly nice, the staff nice enough and the ambiance quirky, in a good way.

Clean property. A/C worked great. We were on the top floor and found the airplane and street noice minimal at night. Hallway noice was more noticeable, however there were only 3 rooms on the floor so there was minimal elevator or foot traffic.
4.0
Tiny rooms, even by Flushing Meadow standards. The TV was extremely limited,
The room and facility were clean, which counts for a lot. You want to stay in the room any more time than necessary.

The property is mid renovation so the rooftop is unfinished with junk everywhere.
There was long hairs everywhere not even vacuumed floors dirty.
No sheets on bed and bedspread had holes in it like an animal chewed it up.
1 tiny trash can in room
No fridge or microwave

The staff and reception desk were always helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet, well-regulated and was kept at a very comfortable temperature. The shopping mall across the street offered all kinds of food and drink options. The Billie Jean King Tennis Center is within walking distance - another plus.

The location was great for getting to the US Open Fan Week. We were able to walk to and from - about 1 mile each way. I wouldn't have felt safe doing so myself, especially after dark, but my husband was with me so it was okay. There is a mall right next door with a Starbucks, and a Dunkin Donuts about a block away. Those were the closest options for breakfast and coffee. I wouldn't have stayed here if I wasn't going to the US Open. The rooms were quite nice and modern.

Great little place to stay at. Convenient for shopping . I only wish they had more food options in that location. Overall I recommend staying here.

The room was clean and comfortable. Updated bathroom was really nice. QUIET air-conditioning unit was a favorite. Easy access to Subway system to get to NY Mets baseball game. Would definitely recommend

Good value, clean and location is central to many restaurants and shops. It didn't bother me much but be warned that its in the direct flight path for la guardia flights where the planes are banking very low and close to the building so if you're sensitive to noise, that's going to be an issue.

The management was very attentive and helpful. Although the bedroom was small, the bathroom was ultra modern and palatial, even providing toothbrushes, toothpaste, Q-tips, and other amenities. The neighborhood is quite urban and busy, even at night. The outside noise was uncomfortable. The proprietors provided excellent and kind service to LaGuardia airport -- only 15 minutes away (early morning - little traffic) at a discount price.

Stayed here to attend a concert at Citi field. It was an easy 15 min walk. Rooms are very small but updated and clean.

Very expensive hotel for what it offers. It is rip off.
Tiny rooms, noisy area as I woke up around 1AM due to construction drilling noise.
Breakfast very limited with no dinning tables. You have to grab cereal and coffee and go back to your room.
2.0
Lack of communication with guests. noisy room. No A/C control.

Great property in Queens, clean & simple.

- Decent small hotel for a quick weekend trip.
- Convenient walking distance to CitiField is a huge plus—much easier than taking the bus.
- Walking distance to local shopping malls (SkyView and Tangram) and restaurants.
- Friendly staff and quick check-in process.
- Room condition is decent though the shower water pressure is not super strong
- Overall, a 8.5/10 rating
