Great location. The restaurant is terrible but the room have full kitchen hence better to prepare yourself. And it’s cold at night, probably because we never used such furnace before

It was nice enough and what we expected with one MAJOR issue. The bed was basically a futon cushion on a low wood platform. My wife and I did not sleep well at all. The pillows were awful. If you are expecting camping conditions then it would work for you. The bed was not acceptable for the hotel price I paid.

Everything was perfect. I love that we be one with nature. It snowed when we were there so it was an added super great experience coming from a city girl.

This hotel consists of rustic cabins with a restaurant. My cabin could not have been more comfortable and cozy. With a king size bed, gas fireplace, full kitchen and nice bathroom, it felt very luxurious. It would have been nice to have a microwave and the bathroom sink was really small. I also had to learn how to use a French press and couldn’t use the coffee I brought, but the little inconveniences were minor. I would gladly stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic location & yurt

The location was fantastic, even more so because it was peak fall season. Stayed in a Yurt which was very unique experience. Felt safe, cozy, and comfortable.

Beautiful little mountain spot with great appointed cabins. Loved!

Loved this beautiful place. The area is gorgeous and although by a road you cannot hear the traffic.
The cabins are so cute and clean. They provide wood for the fireplace on the property. We went for the summer so did not use the wood stove in the cabin.
The restaurant has good food and drinks! Also loved the services they provided. Very friendly

When I booked this room at last minute I didn’t realize it didn’t have a tv or a fridge/microwave. Although not a huge problem. Wi-fi worked well in my room.
I was checked by Grace she was so nice and helpful especially since I arrived late. I was greeted with a glass of wine and since I wasn’t drinking I was given other options and chose the apple juice.
There was a complementary bottle of wine in the room. A nice coffee pot with great coffee.
I loved the tub it has been awhile for a nice soak. Has thick and fluffy towels.
Although the bed was closer to the floor than I like (cause I’m old and trouble getting up) it was very comfortable. Bedside table had a phone / watch charger which worked great.
My room was next to the sauna which I didn’t use cause it was already in use by others.
They do have wagons to take your items to your room so you don’t have to carry them. I did see some people working on other rooms so I can’t wait go back!!

Cute cabin, nice, clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, kitchen with stove and oven, kettle and French press, coffee etc. stove and oven, fridge, spices and oil to cook!
Very relaxing place, with a sauna room on site, small fishing pond for kids, just nice!

We arrived about 2 hours early. There was no parking but one of the staff members gave us his parking spot, which was really nice. At check in, Tres was really nice and quick. The complimentary drinks upon arrival were a nice surprise. The Chapel cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. It was clean, cozy, and had amazing views. It was the perfect little getaway in September. We will definitely be coming again.

Cabin was cute, clean, comfortable, staff was great! Quiet and nice, hiking trails, I love it! No wifi in the cabins but you can connect in the lobby and make calls or so in the area next to it. They greet you with some wine, they have coffee and tea bar for no charge and you can keep the reusable water bottles for free. I’m going back in 2 weeks !! I didn’t use it but they have sauna room for free too, and they provide nice bathrobes, Dyson hairdryer, etc.

Always a pleasure. The sauna is a treat, the restaurant’s chef knows their way around venison, the wine list is legit, andsitting out under the aspens and stars after a day of hiking (or fishing or reading) is a treat rivaled only by the cozy, well-appointed cabins’ comfy beds. Hygge all the way.

Loved the hiking trails and nearby fishing. Cabin was comfortable, rustic yet upscale with gas fireplace, kitchen with stove and oven. Bathroom was small with minimal storage throughout the cabin. Overall loved it.

We absolutely loved our stay! I was impressed by the thorough communication we had with the priority prior to us even arriving. They made everything so seamless. When we got to our room our eyes lit up. The cabin was pristine, had beautiful decor, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The nice toiletries also impressed. We loved the touch of luxury with wine and comfy robes. The grounds were quiet, everyone was respectful. There is a sauna to enjoy, a fire pit, there are nearby trails and I’d even say the property itself is peaceful to walk around. We can’t wait to visit again. There is nothing we would change, everything was great!

The setting of quaint cabins spaced adequately apart is wonderful. Each cabin is unique, ours was one of the smaller ones, but felt very spacious. Great trails and walking paths. Dinner was superb!! The only thing missing was pastries or something similar for breakfast before 9am. We went to go fishing at 845 and luckily brought some fruit with us.

It was a quiet place situated in Hope Valley with the aspens. Loved every moment we were there

This place is perfect if you want to take the scenic route. The beach access is 30-40 minutes away from the hotel. Cabin may be too warm in the summer, we had to ask for a regular stand fan in addition to the tower fan. The cabin has all the kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. Our cabin didn’t have a sink in the bathroom though. The staff when we got there was accommodating, however the AM person was always on her phone and didn’t want to be bothered at all. It’s a good experience if you want a peaceful place away from gadgets.

This property was very unique because it was a quiet place for cabins, but also in a very scenic place in the mountains in woods, which made it really peaceful and quiet

The care and service from the staff was phenomenal. We needed a little extra help and every staff person was kind, generous and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and the two cabins we stayed in were clean and pretty. The small basic cabin,Johan, only has one window that opens so it was very difficult to cool it down. Overall the resort is out of our price range and the "amenities" extra charge was a little hard to take. The coffee bar coffee was not good. But it's a beautiful place in a gorgeous area with excellent service. So if it's in your price range - Go!

Wonderful location and extremely quiet. Loved that our cabin did not have a tv or WiFi. Perfect to unplug and enjoy the Sierra Nevadas.

We stayed one night. The first impression was cottage was so small. When we stayed sofa, mice ran across the in front of us. And we found couple of tiny bugs on the bed sheet. Next day early morning we woke up cause of kind of loud noise from somewhere of the room. We tried to find out where the noise came from. After search everywhere, there is mice stuck on sticky mouse trap. It was horrible experience that we paid about $400 per night. I will not be there again.

We came across this hotel as we were driving to Lake Tahoe last minute. We came across a lot of hotels but this one definitely stood out to us. Pictures didn’t do this property justice. It was absolutely so beautiful when we got there. The two ladies in the front were so sweet and helpful. I felt so welcomed. We had a tent #25 and let me just say how clean and beautiful it was. The sound of the river during the day was so nice, especially at night. We recommended the place to our family we couldn’t get enough of it. Will definitely be coming back.

The staff at this lovely property made our stay really special. The cabin was immaculate and comfortable, and having a restaurant on property was very convenient. We will definitely stay here again!

Very quiet and nice place. We took advantage of the private beach access and it was great. The only downside to it is that its far from South Lake other than that it's amazing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Kid friendly very kind and friendly staff. We even had breakfast at their sister hotel in South Lake and both were great.
1.0 / 5.0
Location was great. Bedding was comfortable. Cabin furnishings ridiculous. Who knew a wine fridge was more relevant than a microwave oven and a refer with a small freezer in it.
Oh and if you aren't six feet tall don't even try to get the cast iron skillet of the lovely high shelf it's stored on. Oh and one chair. I guess one of us was destined to sit on the bed the entire stay.
The vanity sink was so small after trying to shave the first morning I decided I too would be a face without function just like our cabin was filled with furniture, appliances and appurtenances than had no form or function as well.
Ask for a trail map and get laughed at by the front desk if there is ever someone there. If there is the one working they will generally have to go ask someone else how to help you and may return in a while, a long while.
I guess good service isn't included in the $35.00 resort fee. As far as we could tell nothing else was either, except a smoked filled scene early evening campfire no one asked for.
This place is trying to be a first class resort. Snobby first class. The interiors of the cabins are great. The choice of furnishings and conveniences are absurd. Not everyone wants French Press coffee. Charge Resort Fees when you have something to offer. To say it is overpriced would be unfair, it is grossly overpriced. Constantly broken, sprinklers, causing slippery conditions, while construction workers were present everyday. Oh $55.00 per day for a Dog. Not coming back!

A true retreat in the wilderness to unplug and relax with the most comfortable grounds and cabins to spend time with family, friends, or in the comfy solitude of a hammock. The fire ring, kids’ trout pond, saunas, lawn game areas, scattered benches and bridges are not just “nice touches,” they bring together a complete resort designed for all to find their happy place. The food at the Sorenson’s Cafe/Restaurant is amazing, too.

Absolutely loved our stay.
Last minute booking prior to a backpacking trip, and everything was perfect. The dinner we had was delicious (crab crustini and beef Burgundy, cauliflower salad entree). Service was great and the location perfect for our needs. Will definitely be back soon.

The staff was phenomenal it was a wonderful experience to share with my family the only thing I would suggest is that they build a swimming pool or improve the access to the river as I would have loved to go into the river
