At just over 19 and a half feet long, it is a lot easier to drive than most RVs and it fits in a standard parking spot. The backup camera makes maneuvering a breeze. This Roadtrek is on the Ram Promaster chassis, which means it is easy to find a mechanic in the unlikely event of a mechanical problem. I found out the hard way that this is not the case with Mercedes Sprinters. Unlike most vans this size, it has a spacious 5 cu. ft. refrigerator (not a cooler sized fridge), an indoor (and outdoor) shower and flushable toilet (not a cassette toilet that needs to be taken out and emptied into a public toilet). When an electric hookup is available, there is a 30 amp shore power line with a 15 amp adapter so you can stay powered up at the campground/RV park or you can just plug into a household outlet. There are 120v, USB, and 12v outlets throughout the interior to power up/charge your gadgets. When boondocking (no electric hookup), there is a 100W solar panel to keep the house batteries topped off, and a dedicated second alternator in case the sun isn’t out or you are under trees. Since this just needs the engine to idle to charge the house batteries, you don’t have to worry about a loud generator disrupting the quiet of nature.
