Welcome to McNaron Escape, a luxurious lakeside retreat on the shores of Lake Norman–under new management since January 2024!

Seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living, enjoy the spacious layout of the main level, complete with a screened porch and expansive lakeside deck—your ultimate venues for reconnecting with family and friends. Grab a cup of coffee and have breakfast on the porch while being protected from the elements–then venture out onto the lake for a fun filled day! In the later hours gather around the fire pit, soak in the hot tub and roast a s'more together.

Excellent views of the lake are in abundance as the large windows bring plenty of opportunity to take it all in throughout the rooms and areas of the home.

Kids and teens will love the loft area featured in this home, as it provides a space for them to be near but still “get away”--complete with their own sectional and living room with tv!

Better than description, kitchen well stocked n appliances were top of the line. Being a boating family, the location was great, stumpys marina, 4minutes away, in a cove where boat doesn’t get the waves from main channel, close to everything!!! We can’t say enough about how awesome McNaron Escape is, and communication from Drew was top notch!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home on lake Norman. It’s located on a quiet cove in a gorgeous residential area. No detail left behind, including heated bathroom floors and a chef’s kitchen. The home was clean and inviting with plenty of linens including beach towels and extra pillows and blankets. Communication with rental agency was thorough and timely. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Beautiful property! Brand new hot tub didn’t work until our last night in the house but will be great for anyone looking for soak. 15 - 20 mins from Mooresville and if there isn’t any traffic it’s an hour from the airport.

My girlfriends & I get together once a year to "decompress" from our daily lives. We started doing this in 2018 & this house has been by far the best! There was more than enough space for the 8 of us, which was a big plus. Thanks for having us!

Had a lovely long weekend at the property. Very clean except outdoor chair cushions are getting a little dirty/moldy. Check in and check out were very straightforward. Some new-build construction noise from an adjacent property about which we werent warned but still highly recommend the property.

This was about the most enjoyable vacation I have ever had. The house was exactly as promised. What you see in the pictures and description is what you will see when you move in. Check in was seamless. The house was spotless; and we are usually very critical customers. Southern Charm contacted us right after check in to see if all was good, a very nice touch. Southern charm was also very attentive during the visit. I notified them about a very small problem (I didn't really ask them to address it), but someone was there within and hour. The house was move it ready. The bedrooms were large, the pictures on the website were not staged to appear larger than they were. The kitchen had all the utensils and flatware that you would need to enjoy your visit. There are TV's in every imaginable location; the living rooms, bedrooms, screen in porch and outside spa area. They had Direct TV with other streaming services. The area was very quiet. Dock access was down some stairs. We took advantage of the kayaks almost every day. We did rent a boat and tied it up to the dock. We swam every day off the dock. It is about a 10-minute ride to the main channels in Lake Norman. The house is in a good location. It is about 3 miles from the nearest supermarket, and about 5 miles from commercial areas of Mooresville. I 77 provides good access to Charlotte. The airport is about a 45 minute ride. I would definitely recommend the McNaron Escape and Southern Charm for a vaction in the Lake Norman area.

Great open kitchen/livingroom area for spending time together. Super comfy sofa! Loved the covered outdoor area for when it rained. It was nice having a few kayaks and paddleboard on site. The kids had a blast in the lake and the area upstairs they name the "kids cave."

McNaron Escape was beautifully maintained, and had everything you could want for a wonderful family vacation. We only had one minor hiccup, which was quickly resolved by the management company, Southern Charm. This home has a spectacular view, and an awesome dock and entertainment area. One caveat, if you are a family like ours who drive larger vehicles, or may want to bring your own boat, the driveway is extremely narrow and steep, and there is not a lot of room for multiple vehicles to park, or to park a boat trailer. Otherwise beautiful location overall, and one I would highly recommend!

Really all I can say is this experience was an excellence one from start to finish. From the booking, to the follow up from Drew and the actual stay in the house it could not have gotten better. We have been renting housesin about the Southeast for the past 22 years. And this house and experience was simply incredible. What made this house so special was everything it offered for a great family experience. The layout of the house is very conducive to allow everyone their privacy when they want but promotes being together. You can choose to play pool, sit in the hot tub, swim in the lake or just sit on the deck and relax. There was nothing I or my family would change. Drew and the owners were very prompt and you could tell they wanted this experience to be once in a life time. So would i recommend this property? YES, YES and YES! Doesn’t matter if it is family get together or just a quick get away among a few friends. Do not pass on this opportunity if you like the lake life and want to relax.

From start to finish the rental process was a breeze. If I ever had any questions Drew always got back to me in a timely manner. Communication regarding the property was clear and simple. The house itself was just beautiful and very clean. The view was perfect and serene. Often times during our travels with this group someone gets stuck sleeping on a double bed with their spouse but not this time! This home has 3 private rooms with king sized beds, which is completely unheard of in a rental home. In addition, the house was super clean and well stocked. The dock was also very well maintained. No splinters or nails to be seen anywhere! Our kids ages 6-12 enjoyed running and jumping off the dock and swimming in the private inlet. The kids also appreciated having smart TVs available too. The lovely newly constructed side patio just off the master bath was great for evening entertainment with a tv, ceiling fan and large patio for games, the house even had its own cornhole game set up when we arrived! We would definitely come back!

The location was a perfect location on the lake. Located in a peaceful cove, we swam right off the covered dock and used the three kayaks on a daily basis. The house had everything needed for a fantastic family vacation. The open floor plan was modern and a great place to hang out and play games with the family. The kids loved the pool table, the corn hole out on the new patio area, and the upstairs loft. The screened in porch and additional covered patio were both great spots to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to make family meals. On the second to last day of our trip the kids discovered the music in the shower and wished they had found that fun feature earlier in the trip. Drew, the property manager with Southern Charm, was great. He made our stay very comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed. This was out first visit to Lake Norman but we will definitely be back.

This was the perfect house for an extended family vacation. With the restrictions of COVID, we had no problems filling the days on the covered dock, kayaking, fishing or relaxing in the covered porch. The open floor plan made the house feel bigger than it is. The newly installed hardscape was perfect for a cornhole tournament (although too hot to use the firepit). Our only complaints were the low water pressure and no window treatments in the main room. The sun would beam in the afternoon heating the entire house, the AC had a hard time keeping up. Other than that, the house was extremely clean and each room had its own feel. Without a doubt, we would stay here again!!!!

We couldn't have asked for more! There were 6 adults and 4 children in this beautiful home. The 3 elementary aged kids absolutely LOVED their loft "apartment!" LOL The loft has a king and queen bed, sofa, large tv, mini frig, sink, desk, and more! They were in heaven! The outside area with the covered porch was the adult hangout spot every evening. We took pictures of the beautiful red sunset! The screened in porch was great for breakfast and hanging out too. The owners have added so much to the outside patio and boat dock area! New pavers, firepit, composite decking, new stairs to the dock, new covered dock, and more! WOW! We all enjoyed using the 3 kayaks in our quiet cove. (take your own lifejackets or use ones on boat rental as we did) We rented a tritoon and tube to pull kids on from Saltshaker Marina. Their prices were great and it was close by. This house is in a perfect location!!!!! There are grocery stores, shopping plazas, restaurants, and marinas within 5-10 minutes! You should DEFINITELY go to the Lazy 5 Ranch... a drive in zoo! Oh my! It was hilarious as big animals and ostriches stuck their heads in our car to eat out of the food buckets! Hold tight! They will grab the entire bucket!!!! The guys enjoyed golfing at Mooresville Golf Club! NIce. Families with small toddlers take note..... The inside staircase to the loft is open on one side. You would need to block it off as small kids LOVE TO CLIMB stairs!! We put dining chairs around the staircase. Also... the outside deck railing is very dangerous for a toddler. Other than the that... this house is fantastic! All adult couples loved having king beds! We would rent this house again!
