Visiting our daughter while she was playing at Whitman for a volleyball tournament. Coincidence that my siblings from across country were here. We were able to plan an amazing weekend and enjoyed everything the house offered. The house truly made our time together even more special. Top service and amenities.

This house oozed old world charm, character and authenticity down to every architectural accent and piece of art on the wall. The home was impeccably spotless, well stocked. There was more than enough room for our party of 4, which allowed us to spread out in our own rooms, though the house could easily accommodate more guests. We loved watching a movie in the comfy living room and having coffee on the porch, enjoying the mature maples and passersby. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops, or a short car ride to the wineries. We would definitely recommend staying here!

This was a special birthday celebration for my whole family (10 of us) at this charming house in Walla Walla , walking distance from the downtown area. This home is spacious, well kept and the rooms were all wonderful with comfortable beds and very nice amenities. There is a nice large couch as well where we relaxed and enjoyed a movie together. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook your meals and the dining room table was big enough for all of us to enjoy our meals together. I’ve already had a friend reach out to me asking about renting this property and I gave her an enthusiastic thumbs up. The backyard also has a large table to enjoy a meal outside and we enjoyed sitting on the porch with the comfortable chairs and watching the resident squirrels in the trees in the side yard. It was a wonderful place to stay and if my whole family ventures back to Walla Walla, we would love to stay here again. Thanks so much - 5 stars all the way!

I can't say enough positive things about this house. From the moment we walked in, it felt like magic. With six of us, the space was perfect—plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and everything was immaculately clean. The home was full of thoughtful touches, from ample towels to a seamless and uncomplicated checkout process. I highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to Walla Walla, whether with a large group or even a smaller one.
Communication was excellent and prompt. The house was equipped with well-crafted notes that provided all the necessary information, making our stay smooth and enjoyable.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, with luxurious bedding that made for a great night's sleep.
It was the perfect setting for a girls' trip.

This property was awesome, room for all of us and restored beautifully.
Bike or walk downtown to fun restaurants or wine tasting.
Would definitely book again as there was a room for all 11 of us and the kids had a blast.

We had a family gathering from across the states and this house was amazing. I have stayed at many well furnished properties but this one is the first in awhile that every thing I wanted to use was there and was clean. It was a luxurious experience with old world charm and did I mention clean. The backyard was dreamlike with the lighting. The front porch was relaxing and the best place for morning coffee. Walla Walla downtown shops and tasting rooms made for such a great day. Our family gathered around the large table in the dining room telling stories and eating and drinking wine is something our parents would have enjoyed seeing. It was the house that brought us back together and we are most grateful for our time there. Tracy, the property manager was excellent to work with and the hospitality team top notch! Thank you so much!

Tracy was great to work with! I really appreciated the proactive communication. The house is is great shape, with the old house feeling but well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. It is on a fairly busy corner, but as city dwellers, it didn’t bother us. Tracy keeps white noise machines and earplugs in each room just in case. The house was exactly what we were hoping for. We would stay there again for sure. I definitely recommend this house for larger groups going to Walla Walla.

This was our third time staying here between Christmas and New Years. Love the big dining room table and living from space.

A group of adult friends wanted to enjoy some kid free time with good food and great wine. The McCool house was charming and conveniently located to downtown. We walked there every morning for coffee and walked to and from dinner every evening. Would definitely stay here again for a short walla walla get away!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Was a comfortable house to hang out together in or have separate areas when needed. Close to downtown coffee shops and restaurants. Everything was great except the downstairs king size bed mattress was very soft and difficult for two people to sleep in. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay.

We loved this charming place and will likely make it an annual tradition! It was close and convenient to everything we had planned, so we walked everywhere and enjoy visiting with family along the way.

We had family gathering for wine tasting weekend… the house has so much character, plenty of space, well stocked kitchen so you don’t have to worry about having only one spatula or pan when cooking, and a wonderful porch. Our only complaint was the busy street traffic… and would be nice to access the backyard from the kitchen instead of through gate. But otherwise, great time!

We had 12 family members coming together in Walla Walla to be part of a Murder Mystery dinner and wine weekend. The James McCool house was absolutely perfect! All of the bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable, and the entire house was fabulously equipped for anything we needed. Enough dishes, glassware and seating for everyone, with more kitchen essentials than we have in our own homes! So much fun, and the home has so much character and charm, so it was perfect for us. Thank you Terri for sharing this beautiful and historical home with everyone!!

Eight of us had a great girls’ weekend at the James McCool house. It’s beautifully updated and very spacious. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and gathering in the huge dining area for meals and games. It is located at a busy intersection, but we all agreed that the positives of the house outweighed any negatives, and we would definitely stay again!

This is a great house for large groups. Eight women enjoyed a weekend away in Walla Walla while staying at the James McCool house, and everyone said they would return. It’s a thoughtfully restored home with plenty of room and filled with decor that celebrate the house’s history. The kitchen was amazing and stocked with everything you might need. The large dining room was perfect for playing games and sharing meals. The only, slight downside is that the intersection where the house is located has quite a bit of traffic, but we all agreed that this wasn’t bothersome enough to keep us from staying again.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. The kitchen was more than well stocked with any utensils/ etc. that we could need, the beds were very comfortable and the community spaces were great for friends to gather. The check in and out process was clear and easy. Thank you so much for having us!

We had a great time at the James McCool house. The home kept the charm of an old house while having a relaxed and modern feel. The kitchen is well stocked and well organized. We especially liked how the hosts seemed to have gone above and beyond to make sure that the guests have an enjoyable stay, almost like a hotel. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic historic farmhouse that's just the right mix of vintage charm and modern amenities. Perfect as a gathering place for larger groups, with dining room that seats 14, comfy furniture in the adjacent living room, and roomy wraparound porch. The fenced backyard yard is also well appointed for groups, but be aware that if you've got a dog with you the backyard is not directly accessible from indoors. You'll need to leash your pet as you exit onto the porch, go down a couple of steps, and through the gate into the fully fenced backyard. I would highly recommend it for those interested in the history of the Walla Walla area.

The house is a lovingly restored turn of century house. It was very comfortable for extended family to hangout with enough space to all be together but also to have spaces for separate quiet time. Kitchen and baths are very well stocked and it has a separate outside dining area. The downtown business district is an easy walk and two grocery stores about six blocks away. The only caution is it is located at the corner of two somewhat busy streets. The front yard is elevated and there is a fenced back so kids could safely play. There is off street parking for four cars so access and parking was not an issue. It could be loud at night as we slept with the windows open but ear plugs were provided in every bedroom and it was much quieter with windows closed (yes there is air conditioning…we just didn’t use it). Overall, great property and would happily rent again for family reunion or wine tasting trip with four or five couples.
