Loved this condo. Cozy and quiet. Comfortable bed and furniture. Nice curtains to keep the morning heat out. A/c worked well. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Enough closet space and drawers so you can put your clothes away and not live out of your suitcase. TV is a nice size. The ocean view is amazing. The owner was very responsive to any issues. The on-site property manager, Tom, is terrific. Hope to stay here again soon!!

Truly close to everything. We traveled most of the island during our week stay. This condo is centrally located and allowed short or not as long drives to our destinations around Maui. The host was very easy to contact and work with on any questions we had. The trade winds were in full force, so a towel next to the front door helped with the howling noise. The beach is a half mile from the condo and walkable. Snorkeling at Haycraft Beach (nearest beach) is great to get reacquainted and then head to your better spots on Maui.

This beautiful condo has the most extraordinary view of the ocean from the living room and balcony - we watched whales EVERY DAY ALL DAY!!! And the turtles came right onto the beach every evening. Surreal!! The condo was PERFECT and immaculate. It is stocked with everything you need to live there. The description was not lying about the breeze. We never needed the air conditioning. The next time we go to Maui I'll plan ahead far enough to get this same condo. Our friends had a nice place but nothing like this one. It is updated, bright, comfortable and so very clean. (It's worth mentioning twice how clean this place is. I'm really picky and found it to be perfect. The location is awesome too - a couple of great restaurants are within walking distance as are nice shops, a pub, ice cream, and a long beautiful un-crowded beach. Angela was so very helpful as we got ready to travel. If I could I'd give this place 10 stars!!

Central location to get to Kihei, Lahaina, Paia. If you want to do a boat excursion you are right in Maalaea harbor. The unit was perfectly furnished and very private.

Quiet, great pool and spa area, constant whale-watching from the balcony...what more would you want? Location is perfect for those who want to take cruises, and it's just a short drive to Kihei where you can find tons of great places to eat. Wonderful communication from the owner. Our stay was exactly what the listing indicated. We watched several whales (mother and calves) frolic in the bay from the balcony. If you are looking for a quiet and community like setting, this is your spot.

This was just so perfect. I needed some alone time to grieve. This was wonderful. Walked the beach. Sunbathing with turtles. Spread my sons ashes to swim with the turtles. So surreal. Thank you

My husband and I stayed for the second half of our honeymoon. The condo was super clean, the host was quickly responsive, and it was a great stay!
It was the perfect size and had everything we needed for a couple days. A little small for a long stay, but was perfect for us!
The thing that got me the most was the turtles that beached at night, but also how much we could watch them during the day eating off the rocks along the condo shore! Highlight of our trip was watching them come up for sleep. There wasn’t much beachfront if you’re a beach person BUT Sugar Beach was a block down the road. It’s the end of the beach so it was super quiet with not a ton of people around, and more turtle watching.
The only thing I’d caution is the wind sounded like it created a wind tunnel so there was noise at night time. It doesn’t bother me much or my husband, but a heads up to light sleepers.
Overall for us, it was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay here. Short walk to a nice sand beach (sugar beach). We were honored to swim with many turtles there. Gail was very helpful and always responded to any questions I had. Would recommend going to the aquarium (ocean center) that was close by. Thank you for having a cooler, beach chairs, and an umbrella at the condo. They came in handy. Had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant in the shopping center near the aquarium.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect for us and our schedule of activities. It was clean, well thought out and had everything we needed. The patio was delightful to just sit on and watch the ocean. Every morning, we would sit and enjoy our breakfast there. Host communication was great. Check-in was easy. The condo was perfect for my husband and myself. The pictures and description match up to exactly what you will be receiving with your stay. It was very clean and stocked up well with all the essentials one might need to cook with. The view is outstanding. I highly recommend for two people.

Gail was always quick to respond to any questions I had, was organized with details of our stay, and had many things that made our stay fe effortless. We really appreciated her having beach chairs, coolers, and boogie boards.
We would rent from them again and would recommend them to our friends and family!

Loved staying here!! Great central location that allowed us to visit more coastal cities and access the road to Hana and national park easily as well! The condo is great and that view started my mornings off perfectly the entire stay!! Highly recommend!!

Had a wonderful relaxing time here! The place is as described and had everything we needed during the stay. There is a beach, 4min walk away and we enjoyed watching the gorgeous sunrises everyday.

The condo was clean and as advertised. The view from the lanai was amazing. We spent mornings and evenings there. Don’t be afraid of the air conditioner being on a timer. Maui conserves electricity and this is a way to do it. You can turn it back on anytime. We left the screened windows and screened patio door open and it was nice and cool overnight. Shower was good! Bed was comfy. Would recommend!

The condo has everything you need and is decorated beautifully. Only two negatives that I have which did not concern me that much but might someone else. The airport is fairly close and the condo is in the flight path. It is not that noticeable in the day but at night it may interfere with sleep. The other thing that may concern someone is that the way the coastline comes in at this location you are blocked from being able to see the sunset. We stayed in a condo the week before staying at this location that we were able to the sunsets which was very nice. But this condo was much nicer. It would be hard to find a nicer condo at this price point. A beautiful beach is a short walk although we preferred to drive rather than having to carry chairs and things.

A group of friends were able to each rent a place within the same complex. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our condo was just like the listing and the host was very responsive. Great place to stay and recommend it to anyone staying in Maui.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary on this trip and loved every minute of our stay. Gail was so helpful and attentive as our host and the property itself is so well cared for - we loved it. The view from the lanai is incredible and the turtle watching is excellent. The condo is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We loved the condo and the short walk to the each, which was amazing. Thank you! We'll be back!

Ma'alaea is such a great location, it's quieter than Kihei or the resort area, but central enough to drive to any major attractions. Right on the ocean, no highway to walk across. The condo is very well set up. Clean and bright, with everything you need in the kitchen. Nice touch to have beach gear, binoculars, travel book, and board games to really make this a pleasant experience. You can whale watch right off the balcony, take long walks on Sugar beach, and enjoy the pool and hot tub. The ensuite laundry was great as this was the second leg of our trip. Feels like you are staying at a friend's beloved place. Honestly loved it, amazing hosts.
There are only two negatives worth mentioning that have nothing to do with the great unit or all star hosts. I would definitely still choose to stay here again, but feel this may be relevant information for some of you out there. First is that there is a very loud and enthusiastic rooster who starts at 6 am and is vocal until about 8 or 9. It will bother some and not others. Secondly, the residents of the building have a low tolerance for the noise children make. We only have one kid and he's very quiet so it wasn't a problem for us. However we were in the pool in the late afternoon (3 or 4 pm) and there were a few other kids laughing and playing while being supervised by their parents. They were 'shushed' multiple times - it was surprising as I didn't find the children loud. Perhaps the sound travels up. All this to say, if you have rambunctious kids it is probably not the best building for you. Personally we would come back!

I rented this condo from 2/22/23 - 3/1/23 with a late check out fee. The condo is as photographed, and was very welcoming and clean. Extra perks were the supplied water gear that either the owner or prior renters had left behind (e.g., pool noodles, boogie board, cooler x 2, and even 2 snorkel masks but we did not use them). Rental provides two coffee makers: drip and Keurig. A stacked washer & dryer is located in master bedroom. The water takes a full 2-3 minutes to turn on after you push the start button for washing. There were event two cooling packs in the freezer for use.
The views were good. To the left are bushes/palm trees, and to the right is the pool, yard, and a small gate to a very small beach area with rocks. Our favorite was seeing the Hawaiian sea turtle which occasionally sunbathed on this beach, and the handful that you'd see in the late afternoons eating algae just past the BBQ pit area. The condo building was quite, parking was ample and easy. It's a maybe 1/3 a mile from the harbor for whale/snorkel boat tours and shops.
Check-in was a breeze. You fill out a card at the main office, and hang a parking permit on your car. The office site maintenance person was kind and was seen maintaining the premises daily.
Check-out process was also easy. Appreciate the keyless code entry. Owner of condo communicated with me in a timely and reliable manner. There was a nice check-in message the day after we checked in, and a note with our late-checkout keyless entry code the day before our late check out.
Condo also had a drawer full of DVDs/books and a folder listing a lot of local advice and emergency procedures that came in handy.
Location of the condo is good for those who don't mind walking 1 block to Sugar Beach. This is basically the last condo building at the end of a street so the street is quiet and the walk is also short alongside the paved road/sidewalks. There is a free parking lot for those who want to use their car to haul more beach items instead of carrying them. The Sugar Beach parking lot also had one Port-A-Potty.
My only caveat for others is that Ma'aalea is known to be very windy harbor. The wind comes useful for humid summers, but the whistling wind is often heard at night and at times can be rather windy to be outside. I had to wear a headband to keep my hair from flying around when outside. Wall AC unit in living room and fans were appreciated. Can also book direct w/owners.

This was our first experience renting from an owner. The process went smoothly with great communication. The unit was updated, clean and well stocked. It could use a fresh coat of paint in the bedroom and bathroom. The furniture in the bedroom is quality, large furniture. There is little room for anything else. The window frame in the bedroom needs addressing. The bedroom has a King bed. It’s a comfortable bed but not for the hot sleeper. The only real issue we experienced was that the heat in the bedroom made it difficult to sleep despite trying the cures advised. My husband ended up sleeping on the pull out couch so he could be closer to the window unit. He said it was one of the most comfortable pull out sleepers he’s slept on. The location is perfect. We felt like locals but were within short walking distance to shops, restaurants, the marina and the prettiest part of sugar beach. The building is not fancy but it’s clean. Our first day there as we stood at the condos ocean front a turtle came right out of the ocean onto the sand to greet us! We watched the whales in the bay with their calves every day from the balcony! It was phenomenal!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. We found that the unit may need a bit of a refresh. Screens on the some of the windows and the patio door were separated from the frames. Some louvers on the windows were difficult to open. We brought this to the attention of the owner and they explained that the issues would be addressed. Cross ventilation worked so well that we didn’t need to use the air conditioner. Great location for easy access to any area on Maui. Older but very clean building. Great pool, hot tub and bbq area. And walkable to an amazing beach.

We had a short but sweet stay for the beginning of our visit to Hawaii. We arrived late in the evening and it was dark outside so we did not know what to expect, but in the morning we woke up to the sound of the ocean and got to enjoy the beautiful views from the lanai!
The property grounds were very well maintained, and the rental itself was neat, tidy and clean.
Gail & Steve provided excellent communication throughout and although we didn’t require much, we trusted they would address any questions or concerns, should we have any.
The only downside of the location was that the majority of stores, restaurants and shops were in Kihei which is a 15-20 minute drive from the property.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and would highly recommend!

The condo is as advertised with breathtaking Maui views from the porch. We did struggle with keeping the condo at a comfortable temperature especially mid-day and early evening. The window a/c unit (with a 4 hour timer) really couldn’t dispel the heat while competing with afternoon sun. We did try the recommended cross breeze solution but until evening (10pm) it really wasn’t successful with the air temperature being so warm. Additionally, the windows were difficult to operate. Our visit was in late October, glad we weren’t there in August.

This beautiful condo is a perfect place to enjoy a vacation. It is so tasteful in decor, exceptionally comfortable bed, well appointed kitchen, fantastic view of the ocean and so quiet. The owners maintained excellent communication and check in was easy. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

What a super clean unit and amazing communication with the host. Third time staying in Maui and one of my top places I have ever stayed. Unit has everything you need for a wonderful stay on the island, I enjoyed the quick drive into Kahalui for shopping. Seeing the abundance of turtles in front of the unit every day was incredible. Would vote it a 10/10 in overall happiness. Don’t hesitate and just book this property.
