The Space:
Upon entering our vacation home, you enter a spacious entrance hallway that offers a warm welcome. The fully equipped kitchen invites you to culinary adventures, while the cozy living area offers space for relaxation with enough seating for 8 people. On the ground floor you will also find a comfortable bedroom with two bunk beds and a separate bathroom with a modern walk-in shower, making it an ideal space for families or groups.

The journey continues to the top floor, where two luxurious bedrooms await. Each bedroom has a comfortable double bed and offers an oasis of tranquility. There is a bathroom in both bedrooms: one with an invigorating walk-in shower and the other with a relaxing bathtub. Two separate toilets are located in the home for added convenience.

The Neighborhood:
Anyone who loves the sea should visit Oostduinkerke. The large nature reserve contains the highest dune in Belgium, the Hoge Blekker (33 meters) and is ideal for anyone who enjoys to walk.

Oostduinkerke is a quiet coastal town on the Belgian coast in the middle of 97 hectares of dunes. The West Coast area has 130 kilometers of footpaths, a third of which are unpaved. This beautiful dune area is a protected nature reserve. Oostduinkerke is one of the best destinations on the Belgian coast, because of its extensive protected nature reserve and cultural activities.

The sandy beach of Oostduinkerke is almost a kilometer wide at low tide and it stretches all the way to Dunkirk in France. A nice place to enjoy the sun, build sandcastles or explore the beach.

The beach is ideal for para-karting and sand yachting due to its length (30 kilometers to Dunkirk), slope and absence of beach entrances.

Oostduinkerke used to be a fishing village. Today most residents work for the hotels, camping or restaurants. This can be inferred from the many villas and huge apartments available to guests. Despite the recent increase in tourist numbers, Oostduinkerke is still characterized by its wide dunes and there is a lot of space to enjoy nature. Enthusiasts can therefore fully enjoy the specific flora and fauna that belong to the dune landscape.

Highlights:
Oostduinkerke and shrimps go hand in hand. This is the only coastal town in the world where shrimps are still caught with the help of horses. An activity that entertains many people. Catching shrimp with the help of horses is no longer profitable, but in terms of tourism and folklore it is certainly a tradition that should be continued. The shrimp festival takes place in the last week of June. The shrimp parade is held in the streets of Oostduinkerke, led by Mieke Prawn and her ladies. The history of Flemish fisheries can be viewed in the Oostduinkerke National Fisheries Museum. Here you can find ancient landscapes, including a fisherman's house and bar. You can also visit the OD1 Martha, a fishing boat off the coast and you can explore the sea world in various North Sea aquariums.

In addition to shrimps, Oostduinkerke has more features that make it a great holiday destination, such as a cozy village where folklore is an important concept and perfect facilities for sports and relaxation.

Visit the seaside resorts of Ostend, Knokke-Heist or historic Bruges with many sights.
Discover the coast via one of the many beautiful cycling, walking, horse riding and rollerblading trips.
Getting a breath of fresh air during a long beach walk is the way to completely unwind.

The property owner has appointed Huswell to support them before, during and after your stay. Thanks to Huswell, the owner can give all guests the best experience possible. It’s important to note that If you reserve this accommodation, you conclude an agreement with the owner and not with Huswell. The price as determined when booking your stay includes the use of the accommodation and the furniture and household effects present, as well as consumption (water, heating, electricity, telecommunications and other facilities) and cleaning after check-out. The Accommodation is fully furnished, whereby 90% of the price refers to the property and 10% to the furniture. You can optionally purchase certain products and services from Huswell, which Huswell provides in it’s own name and on it’s own account.

LINEN AND TOWELS IS PROVIDED BY THE OWNER:
The owner of this accommodation provides high-quality bed and bath linen as part of the reservation total upon confirmation. One set of bed and bath linen per person, per stay. More can be ordered during your stay.

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS:
The owner does provide a few kitchen essentials that will cover the first few days of your stay. This includes standard essentials such as coffee cups, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt & pepper, hand soap, dish detergent, one kitchen towel, cloth and sponge, one roll of kitchen paper, and one garbage bag. We also provide a few dishwasher tablets if a dishwasher is available.

HYGIENE ESSENTIALS:
The owner does provide a few hygiene essentials that will cover the first few days of your stay. This includes luxurious bathroom essentials such as shampoo, shower gel and hand soap. Toilet paper is also provided in the toilets.

CLEANING:
The accommodation has been professionally cleaned and prepared. After your check-out, the cleaning and inspection of the accommodation are included in the price. However, we do ask all guests to leave the accommodation in a tidy state to respect our hard-working cleaning colleagues.

INSPECTIONS:
The accommodation has been inspected as well as possible after previous guests' check-out and will be again inspected after your check-out.

MAINTENANCE:
The accommodation is maintained as good as possible, and any defect or damage should be reported immediately. If any maintenance issues arise, we ask for patience and understanding. The owner and Huswell will do their best to solve any issue as soon as possible.
