We really enjoyed our stay. Great not to hear neighours. The house was nicely appointed.

Quiet and relaxing. Peaceful surroundings. Nicely presented. A great way to spend a special birthday. We had no need for anything else.

More info about how to use TV and record player. Got there in the end with the TV. But couldn't figure out how to use the turntable. Would have preferred to listen to records rather than watch TV.Not a huge problem. A warning about the steep driveway would be good for anyone arriving in darkness. But we were ok.

Great place to wind down and have a comfortable time out around nature, yet not far from the beach

When you enter the Charcoal Chalet you enter a space of relaxation and introspection. The exuberant surroundings, the sounds of the wildlife, the comfort of the house and the great selection of books and vinyl records makes for a unique experience. We look forward to coming back again!

Controlling the aircons and dehumidifier was a bit tricky at first but made the house dry during a very humid weekend. The dishwasher didn't work while we were there, but was not a big issue for us.

A great place to sit back and relax!

The Charcoal Chalet was a well presented home with the host placing a lot of consideration into meeting the needs of his guests. The house was clean, provided a variety of utensils in the kitchen and the comfortable and ample bedding. It was a great place to relax with a verandah overlooking a rainforest landscape. In the cooler months there is a firepit area- hopefully next time the weather will be more on our side.

We had no mobile connection with our Optus network. However, we worked around by using the Wi-Fi provided and connecting our phones with the wi-fi calling feature on our phone to make and receive calls. The internet connection was uninterrupted and fast.
