About this villa rental
Bakoven is a small, affluent suburb in Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard. Located between Camps Bay and Llandudno, it is known for its unbeatable views of the Twelve Apostles mountains and the Atlantic Ocean and the two relatively unknown smaller beaches below Beta Road.
One of the best spots in Cape Town to watch the sun dip over the ocean, the views of the Twelve Apostles mountains are particularly stunning from the beach and it is also home to a number of swanky restaurants and bars.
Sea of Sunset is a 4-bedroom multi-level villa full of charm and personality, featuring generous displays of original art and antiques juxtaposed with contemporary artefacts. Elevated above the sought-after Bakoven beach, it is a short walk down to the shore. The villa has a classic contemporary style with plush oversized couches, beckoning you to just sit and soak in the setting. Large glass sliding doors frame the spectacular ocean views, and with the constantly changing light makes for an ever-changing artwork.
All four spacious en-suite bedrooms are sanctuaries of privacy and comfort, boasting sea views and layers of luxury with special touches throughout. Interesting nooks, including a dedicated workspace and high-speed WiFi, make it ideal for guests to seek out some privacy or catch up on a few emails.
The inviting wooden deck with outdoor dining area and solar-heated rim flow pool literally seem to float above the ocean; the best place to soak up some vitamin D, the beach vibes below and 270° views stretching from Signal Hill to the Twelve Apostles behind.
The villa is child-friendly, has an excellent security system and a garage for easy secure parking.
As Sea of Sunset is situated on Victoria Road, 2 streets above the ocean hence, an audible sea pleases and so does definitive saltwater odours floating towards the house. There is a noise factor from the street when the doors are open, but double-glazed glass protects entirely from any vibes when closed. One of the biggest benefits of Sea of Sunsetis that it is only 3 minute walk to the two Bakoven beaches, a 5-minute walk to Barley Bay beach and a 10 minute scenic coastal walk to Camps Bay.
