About this house rental
Nicely updated, spotless clean & cozy! Full basement with open concept (great room area) with kitchenette and plenty of beds to handle up to 8 people (including foam mattress and couch bed). 1100 sq feet of quality living space. Come on over, hang out, and make some memories!
This is the full basement of a rambler-style home which lends itself to gathering together because of the huge great room area. No one needs to be separated by walls! There is a wonderful, private, fenced back yard for guests to enjoy with small gas BBQ grill. Kitchenette is complete with everything you'd find in a hotel room with a small kitchen plus a few nice extras. (Toaster oven, full size sink, coffee maker, microwave and an electric skillet) Although an older home, it's fully updated. Tile in kitchenette and bathroom with newer carpet in all other living spaces. Lots of windows give the perfect amount of natural light throughout the day with full blinds to block the light when you don't want it.
Large flat-screen TV in family area with Amazon Firestick for streaming and a DVD player. Free high-speed Xfinity Wi-Fi service. An Atari gaming system is also provided.
All mattresses are newer and of very high quality, so you'll sleep very well here. Safe, family-friendly neighborhood.
Location, location, location! Very near Weber State University and McKay-Dee Hospital. Minutes away from amazing mountain hiking & biking trails. Only 30-45 minutes from some of the best skiing anywhere at Snow Basin, Powder Mountain, & Nordic Valley. Easy freeway access to Park City, Hill AFB, Salt Lake City, and everywhere in between. Close to shopping & dining in every direction.Just five minutes from downtown Ogden. Also, easy access to public transportation, if needed.
Parking for this listing is curbside in front of the house with room for about 2-3 cars (the driveway is reserved for upstairs guests--but at least you can park out front for free!). When parking, please allow room for the city trash & recycle cans to be put out near the driveway entrance on Monday nights.
Only a few exterior stairs to get to the private entry door (under the porch) and everything is on one level after that. There is also a rear door to the back yard accessed at the top of the back interior stairs. You'll have the entire basement with no shared space. The yard would be the only possible shared area, but that's only if we have upstairs guests during your stay in the basement. The only places not available to guests are the garage and the cleaning closet underneath the stairwell.
NOTE: Because this is an older home, the interior stairs between the upstairs and down are narrow and somewhat steep and we want to be transparent about this. Please be careful, take your time, and use the handrail!
Other things to note
We clean top-to-bottom after every stay, and take additional steps to disinfect (especially metal and plastic surfaces) beyond our regular cleaning. We’re committed to making our place as safe as possible!
IMPORTANT: Since this is an older home, the basement ceilings are not a standard 8-foot height, but are closer to 7 feet (might take a little getting used to for taller individuals). If over 6 feet tall, there will be some slouching and ducking required in entry ways between the great room and bedrooms/bathroom to avoid hitting heads. Also, the interior stairs between the upstairs and down are narrow and somewhat steep. If not careful, feet can slip off and could potentially cause a fall. Please be careful, take your time, and use the handrail!
The upstairs of this home is a separate listing on Airbnb. For this reason, guests may be staying in the upstairs during your stay in the basement. They have their own private entrance and no shared interior space with downstairs guests, so privacy should never be an issue. However, we will insist that guests in the upstairs quietly respect your privacy and ask that you do the same for them.
NOTE: Since this is a basement, total silence is impossible to achieve. You should expect some normal house noise from any guests staying in the upstairs. We strictly enforce quiet time between 10pm and 8am, so there should never be problems with sleeping.

We came into town for a football camp for my son and found this perfect place near Weber State. For some reason I never got the email from VRBO about check in, but reached out to Dennise and she was kind a very quick to respond with check in info. While we didn’t bring any fur babies with us on this trip, this is a lovely pet friendly property. The lowered ceilings might be an issue for people over 6’, but was perfect for us. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this property! Thank you Dennise!
