About this apartment rental
Located approx. 30 feet from the sparkling Caribbean waters, our ground floor condo “Going Coastal” in the Victoria Del Mar complex offers the ultimate oceanfront getaway, less than 10 minutes from downtown Rincon.
With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a sleeper sofa, this spacious unit provides the perfect home base for couples, families, or remote workers looking to immerse themselves in the laidback charm of Rincon. You'll love the view of the ocean from the living room's floor-length patio doors, and the picture windows in the dining room allowing for multiple views, ensuring you'll never miss a moment of Rincon's famous sunsets.
Recently updated with mostly new furnishings, and modern amenities such as standard-size toilets (that you will appreciate versus the short ones you usually find in Puerto Rico), the condo blends contemporary style with classic Puerto Rican touches. Prepare fresh seafood caught from the nearby marina in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on the marble-top dining table or al fresco on the patio as you take in the breathtaking sunset views over the water.
Rincon has some of the best sunsets in the Caribbean and you’ll see them in all their glory right outside.
Step outside to enjoy the abundance of natural wonders right at your doorstep. Watch as iguanas sun themselves on the nearby rocks in the mornings, and listen to the fun wake-up call of roosters wandering the area. You might even spot a family of seagulls diving for fresh fish or a curious crab scuttling by. The condo building has a small garden area inside, and you'll be surrounded by the beauty of Rincon's tropical landscape.
When you're not relaxing on the private patio or enjoying in the crystal-clear waves just steps away, enjoy the vibrant local culture. Sample delicious fusion cuisine from the abundance of food trucks and local restaurants, browse the lively art scene, or try your hand at surfing, snorkeling, and other water sports. Whale watching is even possible during certain seasons as they migrate right through Mona passage.
Though still a work in progress as we upgrade our home away from home, we're continuously updating as we work to provide an elevated, semi-luxe experience for our guests. Recent upgrades include custom local artwork, new AC, a rainfall shower head, marble dining table and comfy sleeper sofa, and a smart TV; plus with reliable high-speed WiFi, digital nomads and remote professionals can enjoy the ultimate work-from-paradise experience.
Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an action-packed Puerto Rican adventure, our oceanfront condo in Rincon offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and unparalleled natural beauty. Book your stay today! We are not a huge conglomerate or people who buy up a bunch of “investment” properties which we don’t care about or worry only about trying to squeeze you dry… you will be enjoying our own home away from home, and we believe you will love the area just as much as we do now that we can share it with you.
Building has generator which operates the parking gate, front door and elevators, and a small water cistern.
For transparency: cleaning fee is $125 per stay which will be added to your booking during checkout. 100% of this fee goes directly to the housekeeper, a local small business owner, which helps support the local Rincon economy.

Notes to make your stay most enjoyable:
ELECTRICITY
Like most island getaways, sporadic and unforeseen electrical outages can be an issue, although it's been fairly rare lately. Last month it was out one time for two hours while they made a repair. When electric is out, internet will also be out. While the building has a generator, individual units do not. Many stores and restaurants in the area do.
ANIMALS & INSECTS
Also like most tropical locations, you may see things like insects or reptiles (Izzy sunning on the rocks in the morning) or etc. Sometimes (rarely) even inside, although our regular pest control takes care of insects and if you see them, they likely will not be alive. We have seen a CRAB inside - what a surprise when we opened the door! - and helped him scoot through the balcony door back to the great outdoors.
One time the husband left the balcony door open for the breeze while we were in the bedroom, and when we went back into the living room, there was a visitor from the universal cat distribution system standing there staring at us (alas, he quickly left and did not become a pet, but you will likely see him hanging around outside, we have nicknamed him Rincon Garfield).
A pretty bird was really wanting in through our picture window the other day and seemed confused why I wouldn't let him or her in. Mosquitos tend to visit (outside) morning and evening, and you will want spray since they carry some of the same diseases as in southern US.
So, like most tropical locations, you need to be aware that you will see (mostly friendly) members of the animal world around.
When you're really lucky, from Jan-April you may even see a whale or two off the coast as they migrate through the Mona Passage.
EARTHQUAKES & STORMS
Puerto Rico is situated in a region that has regular earthquakes although they are often so mild that you won't even feel them. Just be aware.
It's also in a hurricane region, which should not surprise anyone. Watch the weather for warnings while you are here.
Either of these could result in a very rare tsunami, although the island hasn't experienced one since 1918, but always something to be aware of in a coastal region.
THINGS THAT BREAK
If you notice something is broken, runs out, or normal wear and tear that you notice during your stay - which can be more common this close to the ocean and the amount of salt in the air - please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements quickly. Some replacements mean a trip to San Juan or slow shipping from the mainland plus scheduling a handyman, so the sooner we know, the quicker we can handle it.
While we strive to provide a worry-free experience, some fees may apply in the following circumstances to cover associated costs:
NO PETS
We regret that NO pets are allowed per the HOA rules (only owner residents may have pets in the building, and then only with HOA permission). Pets inside the condo will result in a $100 fine from the HOA that you will be required to pay, plus a $75 fee from us to cover required additional deep cleaning and pest control. Note that this is not covered as part of the damage protection policy since it is fines.
We appreciate your understanding on this strict policy especially since it is outside our control. And if the universe tries to distribute a cat, you'll want to shoo it back outside.
KEY POLICY:
Lost Key Fee: $40 to replace keys and re-code locks
Lost Gate Opener Fee: $40 for a new remote from the HOA
Note that these might be covered by the damage protection policy.
EXTRA CLEANING:
Excessive Cleaning Fee: $50-$200 for any departure requiring substantial extra cleaning beyond normal. This is on top of the cleaning fee for your stay.
No smoking of any type indoors nor on the balcony please! Evidence of smoking will result in a $250 minimum deep cleaning fee.
DAMAGES:
We understand accidents happen and you might accidentally break something! Let us know about any damages right away beyond normal wear and tear. You'll only be charged the reasonable costs to repair or replace damaged items or areas, plus a 20% service fee to cover labor, when it exceeds the amount covered by the damage protection policy or is not covered.
LOUDNESS & EVENTS:
We want you to enjoy the property safely! Unauthorized events resulting in noise complaints or fines by the HOA or exceeding maximum occupancy will result in a $500 fee and immediate eviction without refund. This is for the safety and security of you and of our neighbors.
Our goal is to provide a safe, well-maintained home to support your perfect Caribbean getaway vacation. Following these simple policies allows us to keep things affordable and fuss-free for all our valued guests. Please let us know if you have any questions!
