Family friendly lake home with something for everyone. Enjoy your morning coffee on the upstairs balcony while you whip up a delicious breakfast on the Blackstone. When the most important meal of the day is complete, gather on the middle deck to plan the rest of your day. Head down to the private dock for all the water activities you could imagine from fishing to kayaking and paddleboarding. Have a boat? Bring that too! Lake Decatur is perfect for tubing and wakeboarding with the launch just across the lake. When the sun goes down, you can light up the firepit and roast hot dogs and marshmallows! Or head inside for a family friendly games like Yahtzee and Uno.
Need quiet time? Snuggle up with a book from our library in front of the fireplace, or flip on the TV and catch your favorite show through Roku guest access. Maybe this is a workcation? We had a great time staying at this beautiful lake house. The property had two docks and wonderful amenities. We never really used the game room (darts, big connect 4, etc.) because we had young children and we spent most of our time outdoors. We took the kayak and paddleboard out and our kids had their first fishing experience, even catching a little fish for the first time ever. Everything was really well organized and labeled and the owners were really responsive. The house was one of the most stocked that I had ever been at with swimming towels and lots of spices and cookware/utensils in the kitchen. Only minor downside was there really wasn't an easy way to get outside to a grassy area for our dog without going up/down lots of stairs but we managed. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely come back.

Beautiful and well-kept lake property with very friendly, helpful owners. Perfect location if you’re looking for a relaxing, low-key lake environment to share with friends and family. Close to stores, restaurants, and regional attractions. Interior is large but intimate, so people can have their own space without feeling isolated. Nice place to vacation for a few days!

Beautiful accommodation on the lakefront. Good for the young in body. There were too many steps for some of the guests. The kitchen was well stocked with the most complete utensils few households have. The interior was tastefully chosen and extremely comfortable for most age levels.

We had a great time during our stay. We brought our boat and it was easy to launch and keep the boat tied up to the dock. We went tubing and on sunset cruises. Our family loved swimming right off the dock and the ladder made it easy to get out for all ages. There was plenty of room for everyone and the everything in the house was labeled which made it easy to navigate. Great family weekend!

This is the best experience I’ve had using VrBo. The owner of this property is so organized and has thought of everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. It’s a great property and has something for everyone! I would definitely stay here again.

Wow! The hosts are fantastic at this property. You get a very detailed informative guidebook to the property before you arrive. Communication is very prompt and professional. The home was very clean and organized. Loved the labels!! It made it very easy to find things. Because of the weather and time constraints, we were unable to take advantage of the water toys. Enjoyed the indoor "pub" games. It's a lovely home, well-decorated, with beautiful lake views! Would definitely recommend!

We (3 generations) spent a lovely, relaxing 5 days here to attend Millikin’s Spring Graduation. The house was great. Very spacious! The kitchen was stocked beyond my expectations, and the view was amazing. We SUP’d, kayaked, and fished (caught 2). I especially appreciated the Roku TV’s that automatically log you out of your accounts at the end of your stay. The house was clean, had great air flow, water pressure, etc. A few, minor, things to mention: 1) entry to the property requires utilizing several steep steps. My father is almost 80 and had some difficulty. 2) the vanity in the downstairs bathroom needs some cosmetic repairs. 3) the decks and outdoor furniture would’ve been more enjoyable had all the cobwebs, spiders, and bird poop been swept off/washed before our arrival. There was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing and also plenty of shared space where we could all hang out together as a family. A lovely home, the best we’ve stayed at over the past 4 years (we’ve rented 3 other properties & stayed at Forsyth hotels). Wish we’d found it sooner!

We had a wonderful time at the Lakeside property. All the decks with great views and plenty of seating. The inside of the house was very comfortable too. Always got an immediate response from owners when asking a question. Would love to stay again!

Pictures definitely don’t do this air b&b justice. Everything is so beautiful and well taken care of. Beautifully decorated. Then walk outside to the amazing few of the water on 3 different decks all with plenty on seating. We will definitely be staying here again. Love this place

We had a wonderful stay at the Lakehouse, celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. Wish the weather cooperated so we could have enjoyed the backyard and/or kayaked, fished, or swam ... but there's always next time - and we will for sure be back (possibly May 2025 for her graduation at Millikin!). Thanks for sharing your home with us!

It was an amazing experience overall! Very clean, very happy with everything that was offered including a full kitchen that had everything we needed! Owner responded super quick with any questions I or my significant other had! Loved all the lake house details and the game room downstairs was perfect for when we wanted to entertain ourselves! We will definitely be coming back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful water!
