About this house rental
Accommodation description:
This back-to-basics beach cottage is located in a car-free park. You stay amidst woods and heathland, within walking distance of the sea and the center of Callantsoog. Small but nice is the theme. Enjoy the stylish Scandinavian decor. Luxurious enough with fast internet and Smart TV with Netflix. Beds with thick M-line mattresses are made upon arrival. And a lovely shower with fluffy towels. Finally, enjoy the enclosed garden with plenty of peace and privacy
There is a playground in front of the cottage and a large sports field a little further away. You can park in the central car park near the parking entrance.
The beach and village center are within walking distance. Callantsoog is one of the oldest and most beautiful seaside resorts in the country. The beautiful white sandy beach is not only long and wide but also clean and safe. There are no fewer than six beach pavilions, and surfing lessons can be booked.
In the cozy center of the beach village, in addition to a bakery and ice cream parlor (several times national Ice Cream Parlour of the Year), there are plenty of nice shops, cafés and restaurants with terraces. The large supermarket is open 365 days a year from 7 am to 10 pm. In the high season, many activities are organized in the village square. The dunes, many polders, flower bulb fields, woods, heathland, and the internationally acclaimed Zwanenwater nature reserve make Callantsoog an ideal base for cycling and walking tours. Charming historical towns such as Schagen, Alkmaar, and Hoorn are just a stone's throw away. Culture lovers can enjoy one of the many museums in Den Helder. From here, it is only a 20-minute ferry ride to the Wadden island of Texel
