Spent two nights for a winter weekend to explore all the trails. The cottage is updated and like new. Has every thing you need to cook dinners, relax and feels like a home. Owner checks in to make sure you have all the info you need and is accessible if needed. Had a great experience!!

We found our 2 night stay at the waterfront cottage as described. It was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the two of us. Our host Cathy provided a very helpful written description.
We shopped for dinner and breakfast fixings at Guidos in Great Barrington. We brought the prepared foods for dinner to the cottage and enjoyed quiet time eating by candlelight. Cooking bacon eggs and fixing coffee in the well equipped kitchen with a view of the lake at breakfast was spectacular.
Two nights was not enough time to enjoy this lovely cottage. We look forward to booking a longer stay in the future.

This adorable waterfront Lake Buel Cottage was exactly what we wanted for an extended weekend Anniversary Trip!!!
Literally, step off of the back deck into the water/dock. The best dock around. Beautiful and easy access to the water.
Loved leaving the back glass porch door open to hear the lake activities and birds, including hummingbirds.
Access to two kayaks, canoe, and two standup paddle boards with oars/paddles and lifejackets was the best activity to take full advantage of this beautiful lake.
Very thoughtful host: welcome gift, plenty of supplies, extra sheets and towels, and well stocked kitchenware.
Absolutely beautiful location. Quiet neighbors even on a small lake with families playing.
Will definitely book again!!!

We really enjoyed this cottage. The lake is beautiful. The cottage had everything we needed including a stunning view and easy access to the lake. The cottage has paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with. The lake does allow motor boats but it did not seem noisy at all. I was happy to discover easy access to the Appalachian Trail and had some wonderful hikes that were accessed by a very short drive from the cottage. We will definitely book this cottage again.

If you have a smaller crew and are looking for the perfect property, this is it! Clean, comfortable and has almost anything you could need. It Is in the PERFECT location. We were able to walk practically anywhere we wanted to go and even when we did need to drive, it was a quick trip. Ruth was friendly and helpful in all of our communication. We will be staying again if she will have us!

This house was perfect for our stay. So close to the beach and many restaurants. The yard was so nice for our younger adults to gather.
The house was so clean and was nicely decorated. I would highly recommend this house for vacation. We are already thinking of renting again. 😄

This location is just perfect. Quiet serenity for a perfect weekend getaway. The cottage is nestled among the trees and has water access. It was clean and well appointed. Cathy was very accessible. We will be back!!

The home is clean, and very well maintained just as pictured. We wouldn't change a thing. Great location tucked away in a beautiful wooded area, and the view of the lake is absolutely gorgeous. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely return!

This charming, fully remodeled house is just perfect for a fall getaway. My girlfriends and I loved the modern decor and the location right on the lake. It was peaceful, and extremely comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Beautiful relaxing views. Traveled to surrounding towns and tried some nice restaurants and sights. The guys had fun fishing. Definitely a place we would revisit .

As a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in both MA and CT for just about 15 years now, I have seen a lot of properties including many high end homes on the water on the numerous lakes throughout the Berkshires. This property is beautiful and has stunning views. It is well thought out with the focus on the water frontage and the views. To spend some time with my son fishing and actually catching fish was a highlight. The views were excellent of the mountains and the water no matter where you were on the property. There is tons of seating and two docks to enjoy the water and views. Although nobody was jumping in the water off the dock, taking the kayak out was also a highlight where we saw a bald eagle. The peace and quiet was evident everywhere and sitting on the dock fishing, watching and waving to the passing boats was also fun. The tv and Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times but nobody seemed to care due to the setting. If you are looking for a well managed, well taken care of lake retreat with high quality finishes in a perfect setting, this is it. Would definitely book this again. Thank you.

We enjoyed our trip to Lake Buel. Cathy was a great host, very responsive and methodical with attention to detail (such as labeling all light switches and fans).
The location was ideal: on the lake and near grocery and amenities of GReat Barrington. The only exception was loud neighbors (so close we could hear their music and conversations) since houses are so close together.
Inside of house was very modern and new. They had many amenities including wonderful shower, coffee pot and brand new appliances with easy to use grill. They had kayaks and a nice dock.
We would hope to return except it's too small with more than one child. There is master BR and second room has pullout sofa that was doable (not very comfortable) for one teenager.
All in all highly recommend lovely little cottage lakeside ... we hope to visit again.
