The front desk man was nice but the housekeeping was rude, barely spoke, and looked at us like we were a problem. We just minded our business but it made me uncomfortable. The pool was best part and the breakfast. The hotel itself seems out of date. Our had a hole in the wall behind the door, our mini fridge didn't really work, certain plugs in the wall didn't. I had to unplug the microwave to plug in the fridge.

The location is convenient and price per night was acceptable for the condition and comfort. Would stay here again when in town to visit my son.

The room was good with a king size bed. Refrigeratir and Microwave worked. I was in South Bend for a funeral, so didnt get to use the pool or fitness center. Cleaning staff did not come in to clean first day, so dirty towels nd trash were not picked up. And no coffee supplies were replenished. Breakfast buffet was very misleading. Iwas expecting som scrambled eggs and sausage, maybe some buscuits and gravy. Insteas there was cereal, waffles to make, toast, bagels and pakaged muffins and oatmeal. These are good, but all carbs, and i am diabetic and cannot eat only carbs. Yogurt and juice and butter and cream cheese in refrigerator. There was coffee or tea. I usually choose my hotels on what the breakfast is like because i would be busy with the funeral.

How can you have a hotel with no elevator?
Such a disappointment to book rooms for family wedding and be stressed with family members in their 80’s and 90’s expected to climb and carry bags up flights of stairs. If you aren’t going to have an elevator you should advertise this

The gentleman at the front desk, who seemed to be the owner, was unfriendly and seemingly not very accommodating. I chose this hotel primarily for its swimming pool and even called ahead to confirm it was open. However, when I asked to use it, he informed me it was unavailable due to low guest usage. Additionally, the bathroom tub was clogged, forcing us to stand in soapy residue during showers. They only replace the shampoo and soap when they are completely used up, leaving me with insufficient supplies for my next shower. Overall, it felt like they were looking to cut costs whenever possible.

Front desk was staff friendly. Lobby was clean and smelled good. Our room however was not clean. We found balloon fragments from a prior guest's party on floor between beds. Beds were well made and linen seemed fresh and clean. In the bathroom, there were hairs on the shower wall and pieces of some kind of confetti on the floor. Not a lot, but definitely visible. Shower curtain not wide enough (not even close!) to fill shower opening, causing water to spray out onto floor. Great hot water though. This hotel has a 4pm check-in, but you also get the noon check-out which we love. It was a super hot day and the AC worked great. The hotel was packed for Notre Dame game but would have never known it was that quiet. This stay could've so easily been a 4-5 if my room had been clean. I'm not even asking for the deep clean... I'm talking basic. Who wants to shower with what looks like p***c hairs on the wall?! I really hate to leave any kind of bad review, but I know I read these, and book based on them. I'm a nurse and I work really really hard for my money. Don't we all?

I thought that being a “Wydham” property might come with certain standards but was incorrect. This is an area that gets excessive tourist traffic at certain times, so I don’t expect posh accommodations, and wasn’t even in the facility much, but despite getting a good deal, I would’ve expected a little more.
The hotel smelled like smoke and/or pets-which are allowed, but don’t seem to have rooms reserved for no smoking/pets. The bathroom was not well kept and dirty, and they wouldn’t replenish paper products-we had to ask at the desk. We didn’t need housekeeping to change beds during our stay but getting adequate fresh towels and paper products would’ve been nice-we registered the number of people we had in the room so it was not a case of overfilling the room.
Overall, despite the deal, disappointed in the property and will likely look to stay elsewhere next time.

Too much drug activity and worker's made me feel like I wasn't welcome. Breakfast was supposed to be served 6-9 , but the days i came down ( Around 7am ) there wasn't nothing to eat. I believe the business is ran by family members and they the ones eat the food before the guests wakes up.

It was okay for the price... nothing special. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom weren't super clean...but seen much worse. Only complaint was the desk chair was broken and you couldn't adjust the height. Also the coffee at breakfast was the absolute worst!

The location was close to where we needed to go in South Bend which is why we picked this hotel.
We asked for first floor, but there were no rooms available. There is NOT an elevator and we had to carry our suitcases up a flight of stairs.
The coffee was weak and the breakfast food was very limited.

When I arrived, there were three men at the counter that were attempting to assist a customer with a booking issue. They had two terminals, I don’t know why one couldn’t have helped me. It seemed like one man was training two others. I waited a good 15 minutes in the lobby, as three men couldn’t figure out a booking, and strong cigarette smoke was prevalent. Someone was either smoking outside and it drifted in, or brought the odor in when they returned.
The room itself had been modernized, I think the fixtures and tub were brand new. Couch, chair and bed were comfortable. Everything seemed clean. However, throughout my stay, either skunk or weed smell entered the room. I shut the door that separated the bedroom area, but it was like it was coming through the ventilation system. It was too late to make another booking. Based on what I saw at the front desk, I’m not sure they would’ve been able to help me, and I would’ve been stuck with a room charge.
The free breakfast amounted to a crock pot of sausage gravy, and stale biscuits. Every tangerine I picked up was soft, as if already rotten. The orange juice and packaged yogurt were fine.
I give the hotel three stars as the bathroom, couch area and bedroom were comfortable. I got some rest, but the customer service, odors and breakfast were below par.
