The stay was ok. Had to have maintenance to our room to repair the toilet, sink, and towel bar. The front desk person was more worried about a phone call then the guest when we were checking in, but the service at checkout was kind and convenient.

The check in process was different. There was only one person and they were no efficient.

We didn’t feel safe, the smoke detectors were laying on the dressers, missing security locks. Strong smell of smoke and marijuana, dogs barking, police and ambulance were there late night. We were given a key to a room that was occupied.

I arrived my room wasn't ready. The room should have ready by 3pm. I had to wait 40 mins for my room. After getting my room. The room : TV did not work. Bathroom had 1 bath towels ,one wash cloth, and no soaps . Lucky, I brought these items when I travel anyway. The condition outside look terrible . Their cobb webs everywhere. Please do not go to this hotel. Horrible

I was a lone traveler and just needed a few hours sleep. I was able to get my sleep and move on. room was a decent size, but needs maintenance and updating. while there was a TV, there was no remote.

They canceled our reservation at 4pm while we were already on the way to Virginia with no notice. Absolutely ridiculous, due to a “power outage”. Once I drives by then I realized they were lying the whole time.

We walked in to register and the lobby was filthy and paint was peeling off the wall. We requested a refund as the hotel didn’t seem safe or clean. It was really bad.

This place should not be open for business. Holes in the walls. Bottom of bathroom door was ripped off (literally). The room stunk of smoke. Dresser drawers were broken. Inside front door was covered with black filth. AC did not work.
This place is so bad, it seems like you are in B movie or something. It's like someone designed it to be bad.
Trust me...stay away from this place.

This is one of the worst places i've seen. Bathrooms in the lobby dont work. Bathrooms weren't clean. The floors needed a good scrubbing, they still had muddy foot prints on them. The bed looked like they dragged it across the ground before putting it in the room. It was just plain old filthy. Would not recommend anyone staying here.

We booked our stay with Baymont a month in advance and had it for a deluxe king size bed, which we paid extra for instead of a queen. When we got there, the staff couldn’t find our reservation for awhile and then when they did, gave us our key. We found our non smoking room to smell like smoke, have two queen size beds in it, and still be dirty. The beds were poorly made and looked like someone was on them after being made. Pillows just thrown, mud or brown spots on the sheets. The floor was sticky and the bathroom floor was pretty dirty. There was water laying in the bath tub and drain shut, so I definitely know the bathroom was not cleaned prior to stay. The room looked like it could be partially getting renovated and there was a lighter beside the bed on the floor. Most likely will not stay again, which is a shame cause the last time we visited, we had no issues.

It was simply a good one-night stay.

the power went out and I had 2 small children who were scared of the dark so we had to check out. they refused to refund me for not even being in the room for 2 hours before the power went out. The front desk person was rude and didn't seem to care.

Awful. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The staff was nice. The entire property was dirty and very run down.

The staff were nice and helpful. The beds were not as comfy as I would have liked but ok. The location was perfect for us going to Busch Gardens.

Was given a room already occupied by someone else. Then given a room that had obviously been destroyed by previous guests. No tv just wires lamp ripped off the wall. Broken glass in pictures chair l huge bite taken out of it. Couldn’t get water to work in shower. Was given a third room and was better then the last but not by much, pool is empty, breakfast is a no go. Coffee machine didn’t work and I was literally afraid to eat anything there.

AC did not work, bathroom was dirty, there was roaches, and it looked like the bed had someone laying on it before we got there (pillows in disarray, blankets not straight)
We didn’t even stay. Was tired from traveling, took a shower and left
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I don't know what other people expect for $75/night for a Friday night in July in Williamsburg, VA, but what I wanted was a clean, comfortable place to sleep, shower, and have breakfast and Baymont did a pretty good job at filling those needs.
The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean, had 2 beds, a dresser, a TV, but not much else (and I didn't need anything else).
Here is a list of all of the problems that might have bothered some people (IMO):
This is not a NO SMOKING hotel - hallways smell of stale smoke, but our NON-SMOKING room smelled just fine.
A/C worked and was set at 66. We could turn the temp down, but not up.
TV didn't turn on.
Pool was being worked on and couldn't be used.
Breakfast was OK. 2 cereal choices, Eggo waffles, breads, 1 4-slice toaster, mini-muffins, milk, coffee, and juices.
If those things are a deal-breaker for you then this isn't the place for you, but if you want to save money and aren't expecting a resort/spa environment then you might want to give Baymont a try.

Hotel is pretty run down. Dirty and old. Was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. It was in an excellent spot though for going to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.

Staff was nice enough, no real problems there. Everything else was terrible. The lobby, elevator, hallway from the elevator to our room was filthy. Floors that hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks maybe. The walls and counters were covered in ripped posters barely hanging on by the tape used to attach them to the wall. The trash can outside the elevator, IN THE LOBBY, was piled full with an additional full trash bag on top when we checked in and was still in the same condition when we checked out the next day. The pool was “out of order”, for months at least, maybe years. The pool deck looks like it is being used to store old AC units? The glass door leading outside from beside the pool was cracked. The door to the pool area appeared to be missing the lock. Now our room…. I picked a non-smoking room… Maybe that just means I couldn’t smoke in there, but previous guests definitely had been. Carpet was stained, torn, and rippled. Tile in the shower was cracked. Water was either boiling hot or ice cold, with a spot about the width of a hair where the temperature was fit for a human to bathe in. Every piece of furniture, bedding, decoration, etc was some combination of stained, torn, chewed (yes, CHEWED), damaged, or otherwise not in a condition I would have expected from a Wyndham Hotel. If I had rented at the No-Tell Motel, I would have felt right at home. Best thing I can say is it was a sort of bare-minimum “good enough” place for an adult to sleep and shower.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been in. When we went in, our room was full of mold, broken shower curtain rod, use soap in the bathroom. The second room they moved us to was the same but had mold on the walls. It looks abandoned from outside. That should have been my first red flag to leave. We checked out 10 minutes after arriving.

Reserved 2 rooms for two nights. Hotel is worn out to say the least. Painted over holes in the walls. Carpets worn out. Doors would stick often. After one night, I turned in my keys and went to another hotel. It is just a worn out facility. I would not recommend staying here unless you have nowhere else to go

First let me get the good stuff out the way say the staff at the front desk were courteous and friendly checking in and out. The water did get hot and had good pressure. Thats all I can say positive about this place. I walked in my room and found the bathroom door handle broken. Lamp shades broken. Half the lights in the room didnt work. The a/c barely worked. The microwave and fridge did not work. The ambience of the place felt like a traphouse. The pool was being renovated...but that should be the last thing renovated in that place. Stay away if you can seriously. I won't be staying there again.

The phone in the room was gross, hole in the wall bathroom was tacky
I took pictures and call front desk to report, bc i didn't want to be blame for any of the damage that was already there bo one pickup
Never again not 144.00 dollars

The bed was very comfortabe and the location was close to conveniences. I didn't like employees hanging around the exit door near my room. They were noisy. The exit door was not secure which is a safety concern. And finally, the dresser in the room had damaged drawers, the bathroom ceiling plaster job someone did is very poor, and the bathtub/shower was disgusting. I cannot in good faith recommend this facility.

To be a whyndam property this is an embarrassment to thier reputation it was a slum it was more of a ghetto housing complex than a hotel none of the employees could be distinguished from people living there
The floors were filithy the drawers in the bedside table had old candy and ashes from smokers in them
The beds were some of the worst i have ever slept in
The air-conditioning was so noisey when it came on it would wake you up so we never got any real sleep
Avoid this dump

We arrived last minute and had no booking lined up anywhere. It was late at night, we were desperate, and nearly everywhere was booked solid. We walked in and were walked to a smoking room initially, which absolutely reeked - no shade for that, that's the purpose of the room. We said we were sensitive to cigarettes and requested non-smoking. We were then given a key and took a dirty and dimly-lit elevator that overwhelmingly smelled like urine and mildew. The door to our room was literally shredding - the wood was peeling away from the steel like it had been kicked in, the whole front panel flaking away, and when we attempted to open it, it was jammed. We had to slam on it to get it to pop open. As soon as we rammed the door open - into a room so stained on the floor and walls I didn't even want to go in - my wife flipped the light switch and it didn't work. No power.
We immediately went back to the desk and asked for to cancel our booking and have our card refunded. We didn't even enter the room.
The one good thing I'll say for the property is that the receptionist didn't refuse to refund us and our refund DID actually clear within a few days, which I was genuinely concerned wasn't going to happen.
Don't do it. It's not worth it, no matter how desperate. You are better off sleeping in your car.
