We stayed over Thanksgiving whilst visiting our son who lives locally. The room was small for price we paid but fortunately we were out a great deal with our family.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel clean, warm and comfortable. Will stay again when we next visit.

Over $1400 was way too much for a room so small. We were induced by a per night cost of $500 something but in the end it was much more expensive. The room was very nice but so small it induced claustrophobia in one of the three of us. Also, there was no where to sit other than on the bed.

The location is excellent—very close to the park, within walking distance of museums. The building is old—so a quaint, awesome old elevator, beautiful building. The rooms are well appointed but very small. Super comfy bed and linens. Plenty of outlets, complimentary water, good shower, safe in room, windows do open, 24-hour front desk staff and a self serve concession for small items.
There are two sets of two stairs to enter the building. One elevator, our door didn’t shut all the way on its own, we could hear our neighbors (and they could probably hear us), a bit expensive for the size but it is a great manhattan location so there you go.

Good service
Very small rooms. Heating was not comfortable even though thermostat worked. Bath tub did not have a workable plunger.

What I really appreciated is the excellent coffee provided in the lobby. My only (very minor) complaint is that there were not real drinking glasses in the room....only cheap plastic cups like you would get at a Motel 6. At this price point, a hotel should have real glasses.

The UES hotel was very charming, clean, and conveniently located. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was easy with one garage across the street and another just next door. Having a self-serve "store" stocked with breakfast items, snacks, ice cream, and beverages (including wine and beer!) was a great convenience. An added bonus was the espresso machine in the lobby where any employee would make you a drink of your choosing.

I chose to book here based off a suggestion and the pictures from the website. I was too happy with the size of the room when I checked in. The pictures showed a bigger space. I don’t travel too often but I usually have a small fridge provided. That was not the case here. I did like the decor and the location seemed to be in a good place. There are a lot of places to eat.

Room was tiny, but clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Easily walkable to Central Park and The Met. Lots of places to eat around the area. Surprisingly little traffic noise at night. The AC made all sorts of odd noises, but better that than not having AC at all. Perfect place for a short stay in NYC.

Staff was incredible. Room was tight on space, especially bathroom, but the service made up for it. Great location too.

Poor customer service: every time you entered the building the staff were playing on their phones, often not aware of customer presence. The room was tiny and was not cleaned by staff. The bathroom was so small the sink had to be in the bedroom.

Our stay was exactly what we wanted. Comfortable beds, clean room, excellent and friendly service, and convenient parking. Xosherrra was so helpful and charming. She was so welcoming and hardworking making us feel very comfortable. We walked to all the museums we visited this trip and to Central Park daily. Great location.
