Good facilities. Long walk to our room, furthest from the elavator.

The staff were helpful in storing our bags before and after check-in.
The hotel condition and amenities were brand new (renovations were currently being conducted throughout the entire building).
The size of our room was huge and had everything we needed including an office desk. The bathroom was quite big too.
The bed was big and super comfortable too.
The hotel is right next to the train station and a walkable distance to the town square.
Would stay again and recommend again.

The location next to train station is excellent, rooms are modern and comfortable bed.
What draws down the rating is the fact that I heard the neighbour talking loud in the phone for hours as if she was in my room in the evening when I really needed to sleep. As no carpets in the corridor the echo was disturbing.

Enjoyed our stay in Bayreuth and the Bayerischer is an updated hotel in a pretty good location. Only issue we had was the AC continue to turn off after 1 hour so in the middle of the night we would have to get up and turn on (over and over). We talked with the manager but they said "it is what it is" basically.
The location is right next to the train station (good and bad location). Really loud when having to sleep with the windows open because of the AC issues but convenient for train travelers.
The hotel is about a quarter mile from the city center area of activity, so not super far, but it does take some walking to get to that area of activity.
Hotel has been updated and was nicely done. Largest rooms we had while in Germany.
I would recommend except for the AC issue during a hot summer in Germany. Otherwise would give a solid rating to this hotel.

The hotel is next to the station where there are also good bus connections, this perfect if you plan to use public transport althouth the town centre is easy walkable, just 10 minutes away.
The hotel does have some parking spaces at 10€ - 15€ per night.
The breakfast at €15 is very reasonable and there are plenty of options.
Great stay at Hotel Bayerischer Hof, would definitely stay here again.

Had no WiFi for 3 of the 5 days. They said they were getting work done on the first day, and it would be fixed on the next day but it wasn't working properly for another couple of days. Room was spacious but very dated. Bed and pillows were okay.
Location is great as it's right next to the main train station. You can also get a taxi very easily as there are always a few in front of the station.
Breakfast was okay but not worth EUR 14. They don't even provide fresh orange juice despite charging EUR 14, saying it would cost an extra EUR 6!

Very convenient location to railway and opera house. City centre also within walking distance. Great to have a fan provided in the room in summer. Staff were helpful.

The hotel needs to be updated. There are very kitschy elements on every floor.
THE HOTEL NEEDS TO GET AIR-CONDITIONING!!!! The world temperatures are changing, and it is no longer possible to say that AC is not needed in Bayreuth because the temperature goes down at night. Not this time. A fan won't do it anymore. The hotel must get AC!

After missing a train, I came straggling into the hotel at almost midnight. I did NOT want to walk [with luggage], and was afraid they would be closed. Night desk met me, helped me to the room. Front desk was helpful in directing me around town for a VERY short stay, so I could see what the town had to offer. Breakfast was fine. Room was very nice.

I stayed for one night. Overall, the staff working at the Hotel were friendly, nice and helpful. This was the positive surprise. However, the look & feel from the reception, the café/restaurant, product displays, toilets to the "themed" / decorated floors was less than attractive and it felt that the Hotel was stuck in the 70s (or 80s) with no renovation done since.

We had a great time !! The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the staff (including the restaurant) was more than wonderful, and you cannot beat the proximity if you are there for the Wagner festival. It is also a short walk to almost everyplace of interest. Potential guests should know, however, that the room was not airconditioned. When we were there (late August) the high temperature was high but the humidity was low and so the room cooled off nicely at night with the window open ... But still please be aware.

Next to train station but very quiet room as the hotel has a series of addition--all modern. No air conditioning, but that's normal in Bavaria.
