We stayed here last year and it was a wonderful experience, this year there were a few concerns, one of our rooms was not cleaned and we had to approach the staff and i found it disappointing that at breakfast mandelins and small chocolate muffins were wrapped in plastic and i would have thought for a 5* these would be made fresh

I booked two rooms. One room was not available until 9pm!
The rooms provided were loft style with a large flight of stairs which is very inconvenient with luggage. Also located on a noisy side street, so was woken up by revelers in the early hours of the AM.

Good location. Cleaners did not do a good job and leaves our balcony door opened everyday and insects gone in to our room

I've used Marriott hotels in many countries, but my experience in Paris was so disappointing that I regretted spending my money there. The staff at a nearby 4-star boutique hotel seemed much friendlier and the room conditions were better. When trying to check in, they told us no rooms were ready and they couldn't promise a time, but would contact us when available. We waited until around 6 PM and, exhausted, went back to the hotel to find out the room had been ready. It was frustrating not to have been contacted earlier so we could rest.
The reception staff's coercive and unfriendly behavior was unpleasant, and it even made me wonder if it was racial discrimination. I was shocked when the elevator doors opened on the 7th floor. It was hard to tell if it was a hotel or a cheap hostel, as groups of guests were using the hallway like their own living room, sitting on sofas front of the elevator, enjoying tea time with a strong smell of spices filling the floor.
The bed duvet in our assigned room had hair and stains, and the desk next to the bed was very dusty. Overall, my experience at the Marriott in Paris was the worst.

Excellent location. We first were put in a “balcony” room overlooking some back streets and office buildings or something. The room smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns in the carpet. Although smoking not allowed. Room was small and depressing. This was already say $550 a night. We upgraded to much larger upgraded balcony room on Champs Elyse cost us $250 more a night but worth it.

It’s a lovely hotel, on one of the most expensive and famous streets in the world. Bedding is exquisite and very comfortable.
Based upon the supposed star rankings of this hotel, we found the staff to be a bit aloof and disinterested. For example:
Upon check-in after flying halfway across the world and crossing 4-5 time zones, we were asked to wait for over an hour for our room to be ready. To be fair it was the late afternoon, and we had notified the hotel days in advance of our arrival timeframe.
Breakfast buffet, our first server never greeted us, nor interacted, nor cleared the table of used plates; whereas our second server offered us fresh custom prepared egg dishes, cappuccinos, and other items fresh from the kitchen.
The door staff acted more like security guards than a friendly “doorman” with no greeting in either direction.
Upon desiring to temporarily stow/store our bags our final day in Paris, the lady at the front desk coarsely/ skeptically questioned whether we were guests of the hotel.

Our room had 5 steps down to the bathroom! Light oak wood that blended together! We are 76 years old. There were no rails! They couldn’t move us so we had them put black tape on end of each step!

The location is perfect along the metro and close to all we wanted to see for our first visit to Paris. We simply could not have asked for more. Pricey but worth it the first time around.

Overall the stay was OK. The room was OK except that the shower was terrible (mold around the bottom of the shower curtain) and the handheld shower head was in an awkward location. The toilet didn't flush completely, toiletries/toilet paper was not restocked. I was told that breakfast was included when we checked in and then I got charged each day? It was a convenient location but not sure I'd stay there again. The concierge frequently couldn't answer questions which was disappointing.

The property is in a good location on Champs Elysees. The lobby and staff are nice. However, the photos are misleading. The 'terrace' room has no outdoor seating, is dirty and the glass is broken. The rooms are outdated and the TV only has french channels. The room is hot and you have to open the door for a mild breeze. the bathroom is old and unkept. Upon arrival, the front desk asked me if i wanted to upgrade to the Eiffel tower view for a big chunk more, I said no since I had already paid a lot for a 'terrace' view. All I got was a dirty terrace, with no seating overlooking the dirty rooftops and back of the hotel. Construction was going on too so between the door open for air and the noise, it was hard to sleep. I think its an ok hotel, but the price should be way more affordable. Conclusion, very misleading.

There is nothing 5* about this property!!! The dining room is a disgrace with very badly stained carpet and seating all cracked, utter disgrace! The carpet on the Stair's to enter the property is all worn. No glass ware in the room, we requested some and it was prompty delivered to our room, alas it was removed two days later. The New Years Eve dinner was a fiasco!! Zero athmosphere and staff in disarray and practically shouting at each other

Location was great! I think half the hotel has maybe been remodeled and half not. We were definitely in the side that hadn't. Shower and heat didn't work so finally after waiting 2 hours for service people to come and go at 10pm they switched us rooms. I was relieved cause the bed was also soo uncomfortable. New room had a working shower but still very cold all through the night (had heat on highest setting and still had to sleep in multiple layers) and same very uncomfortable bed and pillows. Our exterior door outside did not lock. I'd stay in this location again, but not this Marriott hotel.
