They didn't accapt debit card for security hold which meant having to use atm. A little surprised that they no longer advertise their proximity to village. Tip... there are much cheaper parking available within 2 blocks than hotel. Recommend the garage with entrance on Rue Providence and St Hubert

Boxspring had bed bugs in it. When you first get there you'll see that the neighbourhood isn't so great. It's next to an abandoned bus station/park with lots of homeless people. It's not as upscale as the pictures make it out ot be. But there are lots of amenities only a block away on St. Catharines atleast. The bathroom is very nice, but the rooms are much older than they look in the pictures. The room has a distinct smell to it. Not quite bad but strange at first. I discovered the bed bugs my third day, after waking up itchy. The bedding wasn't being changed each day, despite housekeeping making the bed and changing towels each day. It would probably help.
They also didn't accept debit for the deposit even though the listing said they do. I tried to get a can of sprite from the pop machine in the lobby and it gave me a room temperature can of ginger ale for $3.
The room would have been fine for the price if not for the bed. I'm not happy about having to check all my belongings for bed bugs.

Everything was good with the exception of 2 points which the hotel was notified - there were a small number of bed bugs and the desk chair was very wobbly. I was in Room 332 on Sept 12 and expected the hotel would have taken care of the issue by now.

Hotel was very convenient. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Just a bit dated but it was perfect for our stay. No coffee in the room and there was no free coffee in the lobby. Coffee wasn’t promised but most hotels offer that amenity. It was close to many restaurants and is quite near Vieux Montreal.

Towels were dirty and washroom was not cleaned properly. We saw stains in the bed as soon as we walked in. Overall do not recommend coming here and I will not be coming back in the future.

Hotel is old and dingy. The gym should be condemned because the equipment is so old and not maintained that it’s not safe to use. Be careful when booking as they bury non-refundable cancellation fees for certain days in the fine print. Makes it look like you get free cancellation but when you read the fine print you’ll see they’ll charge you. Definitely not worth the price. Stay elsewhere, you’ll be glad you did.

It was one of the worse service hotel I ever been to. It took them 2 days to change 1 broken light bulb but in the bathroom had 2 broken light bulb. Front desk never pick up a call, I called about 5 times, I have to walk down stair to the front desk, saw them playing games on their phone but not picking up the phone. There is no tissue in the tissue box when I check into the room. I asked for extra Pillow, they don’t have, ask them to change light bulb, they said they will come, but never show up! I over heard someone from the upper floor that they saw a big RAT running around, it was scary to stay there.

Housekeeping should NEVER be knocking on a door well before checkout time when the Do Not Disturb sign is up. What’s the point of the sign if it isn’t respected? Hotel guests are not meant to be on housekeeping’s preferrred timetable when not checking out late. I then felt rushed to leave. The property should also include a disclaimer that parking is limited and very tight. It makes more sense to park at the cheaper public garage down the street.

Got there and they told me my reservation was canceled. Hopefully, a lovely lady helped and managed to fix the problem. After that, the stay itself was pretty good. The room was really nice and the proximity to the metro station made it very pleasant. I overall loved my stay and would definitely go again.

First and hopefully last stay at the Imperial Suites. Old, shabby, and dirty public bathrooms, no phone in our room (hence impossibility to communicate with the front desk), no slippers, clogged shower drain. Pointed out the drain problem multiple times at the front desk (had to run up and downstairs every time. Have been deeply impressed by the utter indifference and unwillingness to help displayed by the people at the front desk. We won’t be back.

Room cleanliness was poor. We found blood in the sheets. There was water infiltration which made the carpet wet. We have not heard back from the staff, despite our requests. No answer by phone and inability to speak to a manager. When we left, an employee left us the manager's contact details in order to discuss the situation. We did not hear back from the manager despite our requests.

Hotel was clean. Room service comes every day. Problem is you overhear your neighbors from their rooms and every sound comes through. Drainage in the bathroom is very poor. Overall good but not great. Right around downtown, parks and shops and the bars.
