The room and site was incredible. One of the Riads we stayed in that lived up to every photo. Felt like you were sleeping in a piece of history down to every last details. Very special experience. Staff were very helpful and considerate. Community Parking was close and secure. It was within close proximity to Blue Gate, Garden, Jewish Quarter, Palace and Tanneries. Our experience is that the Staff is honest and looks out for their guests. One of the more pricier places we stayed, but definitely worth it.

I chose this place after a great amount of research and it didn’t disappoint. its a short walk through the gate into the historic medina. This is a riad with a large atrium and a separate external garden with small pool which is unusual for the dense urban location. It only has 8 rooms on two floors but they are very high and the light filled atrium is large and immaculately ornate giving the whole place a palatial feel. It was lovingly restored from a family house in recent years to what it is now. The artistry and craftsmanship is amazing and there is a photo book in the lobby showing the restoration process. There is a roof terrace with amazing views high over the historic medina and hills beyond. The meals are in the garden during the nicer times of the year. There is a chef the comes to cook dinners to order that guests can arrange earlier in the day. That means the ingredients are fresh and cuisine is amazing served in a beautiful atmosphere. The breakfasts are awesome as well. You can have drinks and snacks served anytime in the garden, lounge or terrace. Although I didn’t use it, there is a spa where hammams can be arranged. There were people staying there as well as from surrounding locations that partook and everyone said it was great. The staff is great, constantly running around making sure you feel at home.

The tranquility of the garden is a real asset to this 8 room Ryad. Meals are hearty and healthy with breakfast included. Recomended guide was great. Rooms are spacious and airconditioned. Hamman great. Traditional zellige and vintage french furniture throughout. It is the people and their service which makes this place truly wonderful.

The road was stunning! It had a lovely overview of the city, a picturesque dinner, wine options, and I thought the beds were comfy. The staff was beyond accommodating and helpful. Wish we had stayed a bit longer. Will definitely be staying here the next time I am in Morocco.

The property is beautiful, and the staff are extremely helpful and kind. I would rate it 6 out of 5 stars if I could.

Great Riad

Phenomenal riad. The pictures online don't do it justice and my expectations were exceeded! Beautiful courtyard both inside with a fountain and sitting area and outside with the pool and gardens. Wonderful views from the rooftop terrace. Our room was huge, ornately decorated, and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and modern. The complimentary black scrub soap was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful.

Our stay was amazing! The staff is friendly and committed to making your stay perfect. Its on the edge of the medina so its cery quiet. We didn't venture out without a guide, but seemed like you could easy enough.
Food was very good. Breakfast was delicious with fresh baked breads and jams, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and tea. We ate dinner at the hotel both nights since we were tired at the end of the day. Selection was perfect for our family. Nixe tangine options with wonderful bread.
We srayed in the royal suite and it eas just beautiful! Took my breath away when we first walked in. Only hardship was the shower in the bathtub without a curtain. Took some maneuvering not to get water all over the floor, but i managed. My 9yo son, not so much! Sevond night was a bath for him!
Overall stay was amazing and I would definitely stay here again!

Location near edge of Medina was excellent, allowing easy access to hustle and bustle of the heart of Medina, but then was quiet oasis when at the ryad. The ryad itself was like a palace, with gorgeous wood, tile and plaster architectural details. But all of that would have been meaningless had it not been for the warm and attentive service from both the owners and those who worked there. They helped with setting us up with a guide to walk the Medina, a driver for a trip to volubulis, and taxi to the train station. They called in dinner reservations for us one night, gave us lots of advice and tips for making the most of our stay, greeted us when we returned each evening, and made us feel like welcome guests. Truly a great stay and I wholeheartedly recommend.

The experience, service and safety were excellent. Having drinks on the rooftop and overlooking the city is priceless. A Ryad stay when visiting Fez is highly recommended. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay there.

Garden oasis with oranges, quince, jujubes, and a small pool. Delicious substantial breakfast. Gorgeous airy interior. In the old city yet away from the hustle and noise. Professional and friendly staff, charming owners.

I was really excited about staying at Ryad Mabrouka as it came highly recommended. The property is lovely with its huge inner courtyard, beautiful lush garden, and expansive and comfortable rooftop terrace. Pierre (one of the owners) was very personable but I didn’t have a chance to speak much with his wife (the other owner) as she was rarely around. The gentleman who was there in the mornings and evenings was nice but we weren’t able to communicate as he didn’t speak English. My room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The disappointment for me was the breakfasts. For the caliber of accommodation that Mabrouka is, I expected fresh bread and fresh fruit to be served each day and had also expected eggs to be an option. Having stayed in many riads in Morocco, I’ve almost always been served eggs (I did ask the 2nd day and was served a very nice omelette but the bread and fruit served still weren’t fresh). I was not the only guest who felt this way. The property is lovely, but for the money spent with the lack of a decent breakfast, I would not return.
