The location is convenient and within easy reach from the Shin-Imamiya station, but noisy in day time for the room facing the train station, Wi-Fi is poor

It smells too much like cigarettes.
My nose is paralyzed by the smell of cigarettes.
The rest is actually neither good nor bad.
Service for the price.

Renovated nice room, with proper air condition. Comfortable bed. Tiny clean bath. Valuable. I will be my first choice by my next stay in Osaka.

There's a unique bath on the top floor.
The only downside is that they only allow men inside it, and so now there's no unique bath that women can enter. Basically women have lost the right to enjoy it because of some rule. Why not make it accessible to separate genders at different times?

Cheap, clean common areas, quiet and well located. The only bad thing is that the mattress is so hard that it felt like sleeping on the floor instead of a bed

7 nights, cool concept of privacy for hostels, but very old and very dirty rooms, I had to ask for them to change the bed sheets because of the dust.
Room with dirty slipper(found a nail sticker in mine) and dirty cabin, was full of some dark fluid in the walls (looks like spilled soy sauce) I was desperate and cleaned with some wet tissues to be able to sleep the first night.
Only one woman bathroom, always smelling awfully, the other guests never respected the "only women floor".
The workers were very nice and respectful!

Limited staff, the front counter seen to be close after 1 am. There is a bathroom in the room, but there is no shower of a sink. The sink have to be shared out in the hall way while the shared shower us on the top floor.

NOT RECOMMENDED.
I am not a frequent traveler, but out of all the Airbnbs and hotels I have stayed in Japan and even Southeast Asia, this is the one of the worst 3.
Background: I stayed in a private room, private shower, with 2 twin beds.
Reason:
1. The hotel is dated by current standard.
a. While most public and restaurant restrooms have toilet with bidet, the bathroom in this hotel room has no bidet. Bidet is a standard feature of any Japanese toilet and this toilet is below the standard.
b. The plastic on the light switch cover, electric outlet cover, and AC remote has turned yellow due to age. The part of the AC that sits inside the holder remains white.
c. The TV in the hotel room is smaller than 32” TV. Per iPhone’s measure app, it’s about 22-inch, which is smaller than common computer monitor.
d. The room has concrete floor with obvious chipped paint.
e. The room uses key, and not an electronic card key system.
2. The hotel room shower is small. I am considered skinny by most people. I find myself touching the shower curtain as I turn around in the shower.
3. The hotel is vey close to the train track. There is a slum across from the hotel. You can see trash starting to build up on the sidewalk extending into the street next to get train track, people sleeping on the street next to the train track. Use Google Map to see it yourself.
4. Poor insulation. I can hear next door using water using the shower.

It was a pleasure staying at the inn. The only thing that was missing in the room was a mirror.

So first off I stayed here for 2 nights.
So this hotell, where am I going to start. It’s fine for the money but If you want a GOOD night sleep pick something els. If you are use to sleeping on basically the floor you can get the capsule room, the mattress is pretty much papper thin (okay it’s 5 cm thin). But if you are used to more nicer beds don’t get this. I could sleep for a few hours the first night but it was HARD (the bed also) to sleep, I tossed ant turned. I’m writing this because I can’t sleep the second night. EDIT: The second night was fine I could sleep more because I was exhausted from not getting as much sleep the first night.
Second thing, there will be wired people staying here. I saw into another guy’s room and he was basically ruining a shipping service in his room, I’m not even kidding. He had a lot of products and boxes and a golf bag as well and I saw and heard when I was packing stuff into a box and heard him use a lot of tape. It is very responsive you can hear a lot of noises during the night. So bring noise canceling headphones or ear plugs. I use my AirPods and it blocked out most of the sound.
And the last thing, the WIFI is very slow so if you are a tourist like me and don’t have good or unlimited internet on your phone, get another hotell with better internet. Okay I know people will say you are on vacation you only need to sleep at the hotell, but some people need internet to upload stuff and send files.
