Great six night stay at this small hotel. Most the building was finished as polished concrete, and very clean. Situated a few hundred metres from the main street, with many restaurants, cafes and shops to chose from. Scooter hire available from across the street (Big Jump) Small van selling beer and drinks on site, but no actual cafe. Staff were great and v helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised by this little boutique hotel. It is located in a quiet alleyway in the heart of the old town, surrounded by many cafes, restaurants and temples. The hotel is tastefully decorated. The pool was just big enough for us and we enjoyed having a couple of beers in the courtyard. The staff was very nice, helpful and spoke pretty good english. We would definitely recommend Taphae Loft and would stay again.

This place was perfect. Clean, serene, staff incredibly helpful and sweet. Even after we checked out they kept our bags and allowed us to come back 3 hours and swim/relax before heading to the airport

Absolutely lovely hotel with amazing amenities, decor, staff, and service. The location is perfection as many temples, restaurants, clubs, and activities are within 2 or more minutes. That said, the hotel is just far enough off the street to make the stay totally quiet and peaceful. The pool was an amazing respite after a days touring the sites nearby, too. Transportation arrived in under a minute, and the airport is 10 minutes away. I can’t praise this place enough!

Property is modern industrial style. Very clean, private, quiet, nice staff. Location is great for night markets and easy walking all around old town. Hotel is not visible from road, but accessible by a short, well lighted alley/driveway. Our taxi from airport had difficulty finding the hotel but all other drivers had no problem. They pick you up at street. No restaurant onsite, though, finding food in Thailand is not a problem.

The property itself was very nice, it seemed new. The pool was perfect because part of it was in the sun, and a smaller part was under the building and covered. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The property is located down a clean and well-lit alley, but the street in front of the alley was under construction - but that might be what should be expected in the old town section of a city such as Chiang Mai. In any case, we always felt safe and secure.

I liked the decor of the hotel and the service was great! I just wish they still had a cafe, at least for breakfast. But still, it was so close to many restaurants that it was still easy to get food. 🙂

You’re in the old city so walking is relatively safe except for the few motor bikes that may zip on by you. It’s in a quiet area so you do have to walk 5-10 minutes and then you can eat or drink. Car parking was a challenge and even getting a tuc tuc as you’re on al Quiet street. If you’re there for the Sunday night market you are literally steps away to one of the entrances. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back again on my next visit if they have available rooms. I didn’t get the breakfast or eat at the hotel as I enjoyed wondering around town to find places to eat.
