I recently stayed at this hotel, and while there were a few positives, the negatives significantly impacted my experience. Let’s start with the good: the rooms were freshly renovated and looked great. The design was modern, and everything inside felt new and clean, which was definitely a highlight of the stay. However, the positives quickly faded due to a series of issues. First, the approach to the property was off-putting. As we drove in, it looked like we were arriving at an abandoned construction site, and didn’t know if the place was open or operating. It was difficult to shake the feeling that the hotel was still under construction or not fully operational. The bed, while new, was extremely uncomfortable. It was so stiff that both my partner and I woke up with sore backs the next morning. Despite being newly renovated, the bed was painful to sleep on, which made it hard to enjoy the stay. To make matters worse, the noise from upstairs was unbearable. It sounded like furniture was being moved around constantly throughout the night. This, paired with a neighboring room’s dog barking non-stop, made it nearly impossible to get any rest. Even after contacting the front desk, there was no noticeable effort to address the issue. Overall, while the rooms themselves were nice, the uncomfortable bed, constant noise, and the unsettling first impression of the property’s exterior made this a less-than-ideal stay. I would hesitate to return unless these issues are resolved

LISTEN!!! A beautiful serene renovated currently going through renovation hotel nestled in bodega Bay. A beautiful location for friends, family or solo staycation we 100% love the room love the staff and love the atmosphere. Don’t even get me started on the views!

When we first drove onto the property, I wasn't sure it was still in business as it looked as though it was in the process of being gutted with construction debris, dumpsters, building materials all over the place, a couple of abandoned vehicles, and the landscaping was littered with garbage, old hoses and other debris. When I walked up to the lobby door, a sign on the door stated they would be back after 2pm. We then noticed a housekeeper coming from one of the rooms in another building further away from the lobby and she explained that they were undergoing renovations but that a couple of the buildings were finished and being offered to guests. She showed us one of the rooms, and thankfully they were fairly well appointed and updated. This property shouldn't be available on hotels.com due to the condition. There weren't amenities offered, like the hot tub or relaxing area outdoors. I felt bad for the front desk person who was incredibly frustrated for the condition of the property and how long it had been under construction and how long it will likely take to finish. It's not her fault that the property is not as advertised.

great stay, it was a newly remodeled room. 70" tv, fireplace with remote, refrigerator with freezer, walk-in shower! very nice room and the front desk was prompt and helpfull.

Employees were very nice and kind . Our room was not what we booked though . We booked a room with a fireplace and did not have one . The grounds were littered with construction supplies and trash . And for the price we paid $355 the room was disappointing. This was a below average room maybe motel 6 quality . Definitely not $355 quality . Also the innkeeper did let us check in at 3 pm but informed us check in was at 4 pm . Our reservation actually said 3pm so discrepancy there but it wasn’t a huge deal .

This property is in the middle of a remodel. Our room which was supposedly done was odd. The one beautiful blue wall on the picture was the only one really completed. The rest of the walls have old wall paper. The bed was very nice. The bathtub drain was broken and when l lifted it to open it, tons of hair and goop was attached. The shower curtain had black mold on it. The sliding glass door was broken. The effort is there but the room was not complete. It was relatively clean except bathtub gross drain and shower curtain. The bathroom tiles were not complete. There was no waters available and no staff for assistance. The property had mattresses laying everywhere outside. It just was a weird experience.

Our checkin experience was awful, the hotel was under construction and there was loud sawing sounds well past 8 pm, the room itself smelled moldy and gross, and the property was littered with cardboard boxes and other forms of waste. Whoever is managing this place delegated check in to virtual assistants in the Philippines who have clearly never visited the property and were basically incapable of helping us get our keys and leave the property. When we arrived, the door to our room was wide open and there wasn’t a key in sight. Terribly, terribly managed property in a beautiful location that deserves to be owned and administered by a competent administrator. In its current state, you’d be better off camping.

It looks like the property is being renovated. The rooms are large, the view from balcony overlooking the bay is beautiful. there's great bird walk within 500 yards from the property.

So I will start this by saying they are going through a large remodel. So I am sure most of this is temporary. With that being said, there was a lot of construction debris, and materials around making the place look less appealing. The internet was down, and was never available during our stay. The spa was empty. The room was so so ( not remodeled yet.) The bed were uncomfortable, the cleaning was okay. Unfortunately, at night the room really got stuffy, with o window, we had to open the slider, there was a screen but the lock was not the best, so we felt a little exposed as we slept. Positives: the views were amazing. I would stay again after the remodel was complete to try and give it another shot, this place had a lot of potential.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Reception was friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Rated as average for a few minor issues. The coffee maker did not work well. Took two fills to get it to make a cup of coffee and then it overfilled. Have the same unit in our camper so we know how to use it, The patio screen door kept coming off the track, Had to fix it several times. The shower curtain was a bit discolored at the base, There was construction at the site, However, we did not hear any of it. Nice place for quick stay. Enjoyed our day there

Location was great. But the hot tub was not usable (one reason we booked here) and there was no wifi which really was a necessity given service on the area is almost none. Online booking also showed check in was 3pm but hotel made it clear when messaging me and on the summary email that check in is 4-6:30. Never had a hard stop to check in. Makes it challenging on a Friday when leaving after work and with SF traffic.

We liked that our view was facing the water & we had a balcony. We also liked that we had a refrigerator & a microwave. One thing that was disappointing was that the spa wasn't available & we didn't know that ahead of time.

Hi, almost everything written about the services and in house amenities is outdated or not true . lobby closes at 8pm not 9pm as stated- tub has jets as stated but jets do not work- went for the advertised continental breakfast but doors were locked because the help does not get there till noon. No breakfast, inconsistant lobby hrs- pool not working- wifi interrupted often- -only one chair in the room so wife and I were with one chair- Bird nesting above door so had to dodge birds deficating when entering or leaving-

Selected based on really good reviews, but our experience was less-than-great. WiFi out, pool area closed, with lots of ground-work going on outside our patio, room not cleaned by 1:30 in the afternoon when maid entered without knocking. Room was comfortable and overall it was clean, but the state of repair of the property was a bit shabby.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Brown water coming out of the sink faucet, tub and toilet. Front desk staff very rude. I booked the room for three consecutive days, but when I checked in they only had me booked for two nights. Bed was vey uncomfortable and the bottom bed sheet did not fit the bed. No complimentary shampoo for two out of three days.

Nice & quiet location. Liked the access to the marsh trail leading to the beach. The room was large & comfortable for a family of 4 including 2 college aged kids. The hotel clerk when we checked in, however, was not very friendly & could have smiled & appear more welcoming.

My wife and I needed a little time by ourselves. This was a good site. I felt the Inn was better than a 2 star rating. Visit the Bodega Headlands on the west side of the bay. There is a beautiful view of the bay and the coast line.

This place is not to bad. I would recommended it. We got a room with a fire place. In the fireplace is a fake log. The maids were supposed to leave matches but did not. I called the front desk to have some brought to me. I was told that they would when they could get away. I finally gave up and walked to the office to get the matches. This place needs to advertise that they serve a continental breakfast. They advertise breakfast included. I was assuming a full breakfast.

The staff is friendly, although it changes constantly - in 4 days we saw at least 5 different people at the reception desk. The continental breakfast, included in the room price, is rounded out with hard boiled eggs and a waffle iron that gets a lot of use. Our room was clean, and the beds very comfortable, but the room was somewhat musty smelling, and the in-wall heater was noisy periodically. On the plus side, we had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The inn is very close to an excellent fish restaurant, Lucas', which we found to be better than the more famous Tides Wharf, which is next to it. We very much enjoyed the location - an easy ride to Point Reyes, Russian River, the Bodega Head itself, and the Sonoma Wineries. It's important to keep in mind when planning activities that the weather close to the shore tends to be foggy - but if you go inland just a few miles you are likely to find bright sunshine!

For the price I thought this place would have been a lot nicer. Couldn't check in until 3!! Wanted us out at 11. Lots of broken items inside the room. Hinges, sliding glass door etc. It was a clean place. But for $250 I expected a little more.
