The woman working the front desk on Saturday 10/6/2024 at 1:00 was incredibly rude. My room smelled like an old, dirty ashtray, dirty floors, dirty and smelly shower, grout in the shower was missing or moldy, at least 5-7 inches of mold spores growing on the wall above the shower. Rooms above us were LOUD. On the positive side, the young man trying to check the herd of guests in at 4:00 was working alone and was very polite. There were also plenty of towels provided and the screen door opened fully which was a necessity to keep open all night to diffuse the old ashtray odor of the room, RIDICULOUSLY overpriced for nearly $300 plus the surprise fees they added at check-in. Perhaps the new section of the hotel is better? I guess we will never know...

I could not sleep until 2 am when the noisy nearby bars closed. Also: the furniture was old, decrepit and broken in our rooms. This hotel needs a serious update. I won't be recommending that anyone stay here.

Overall, the room was nice and comfortable. The cost was understandably high due to location; however, one of the lights didn’t work, the shower head was very small, and we expected better. Also, an annoying design feature did not allow independent control over lamps on each side of the bed. This meant walking to the entry to shut off lights and also made it hard for one partner to go to bed while allowing the other to have light on their side.

Overall wonderful! Excellent service! Everyone was so kind and smiles all around! We loved the flexible check in time since we couldn’t get back from the concert until late. The live music at Charlie’s was amazing!! Beautiful views and room. Both restaurants were excellent and we dined in both for nearly all our meals. I was however let down that the crown molding in the room was wallpaper, it took away the entire aesthetic of the historical beauty of the room. The bed was also quit stiff and small for two people. We could also hear the freight house a little too well, but nothing one can do on that. Thank you for an overall great experience!! It made my mom’s birthday super special!!

I reserved a riverside suite with two queen beds. I received a room with 1 queen bed and a pullout couch. There was only bedding available for the bed. There was garbage still in baskets from prior stay. There was a a bad smell in the room. I was very disappointed. I had heard such good things about the Inn.

Wonderful weekend at The Water Street Inn! Fantastic location right in the middle of everything. Beautiful view of the River. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Still Water.

Loved the antique decor and fireplace in the room. The parking was very convenient. Loved the rooftop patio. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, the historic lift bridge, and the riverboat cruises. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

The room we were in was VERY old and not clean, especially the bathroom. Please understand that some of the rooms at this property are old/vintage while others are newer and more modern. We unfortunately were on the old section. Jets in the whirlpool tub were filthy and while, even in clean I would never use a hotel hot tub in a guest room, it was quite off putting. I noted the cleaning staff did not carry a vacuum only a lint roller type of device to go over the carpeting. Also, I found various cobwebs throughout the room. Decor is very very very old, which might be some people's taste but it is old ornate type of furniture which was in desperate need of a good dusting. I will say, the location of this property is ideal, In the heart of all the action. Stillwater is an amazing town, this property just needs some MAJOR updates.

4:00 check in is a little late , for the price of a room you could at least have a mini fridge. Room wasn’t that nice. Just a typical run down hotel room. I’ve stayed at this hotel before and loved it. This time was very unsatisfied.

My best friend was in town and we stayed in Stillwater. Hotel was great. Love the free parking with the hotel stay. Room was clean and faced the St. Croix which was lovely.

This hotel canceled our reservations an hour before checkin without explanation. They suggested another place to stay but wasn’t in the location we wanted. They were nice about it but it still somewhat ruined our day.

The older bolnd lady that worked the front dest was very rude. The room sated pet friendly and that all taxes and fees were included. She tried to tell me my room was not pet friendly after driving from AZ with my dogs. Then she charged me more taxes and pet fees. Also when I called to get into the patking lot she told me I could not check in untill Tuesday after 11 am. I said it is Tuesday ar 6:30 pm. The bed was way too soft and both the chairs sagged in the middle. I would not reccomed staying here. The location is good but they do not have microwaves, refrigerators or even an ice machine. For the price there is a lack of amenities. Rude people should not be working the front desk.

Great location, nice staff, but I booked a "cheap" rate on Expedia site. My room was a really "sad"---goodwill furniture, the bathroom was terrible (no pressure, poor lighting), no fridge, no ice, thin walls, etc. No plans stay this hotel again.
