Rooms very dirty and scruffy. One room had obviously been fumigated which caused the family members to have eye irritation.
Lost power in 4 of the rooms, staff disinterested and very rude.

Went for a short break with friends. Great hotel. Very local to all Bruges has to offer. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Only thing I would say is that there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but cafes were just around the corner. Overall a very lovely hotel.

This is a charming old hotel in the perfect location. It is difficult for seniors to negotiate stairs but there is a lift for most floors. The hotel manager was extremely helpful about everything we needed. We stayed in two rooms both charming and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - a most charming town and great place to stay.

The hotel is located around the edge of the city center and is very easy to access the city center: 5 min for Saint Salvators Kathedraal and 10 min for Belfort.
My room did not have an air conditioner so that you may feel hot on sunny summer days.

The hotel was nice, clean, comfy and some of the best parts were the view, the buffet for breakfast (for an extra cost but very convinient) and the bathtub.
Unfortunately, our arrival definitely set the tone for the rest of our stay, although there were 2 people in the front desk, and they noticed our arrival, none of them welcomed us, in fact, they were loudly talking to another staff member upstairs so we waited a few minutes before they would talk to us. This was a bit rude, we felt ignored as if we were an inconvenient, the rest of the interaction wasn’t friendly.

Room was in annexe at distance from main building and reception, necessitating 76 year old with mobility issues to carry bags in pouring rain across cobbles to a different building at some minutes' walk away, where there was no lift. Stairwell of this other building was dirty and smelled stale. A used towel had been left on the stairs. The staircase was narrow and the walls marked from many collisions with suitcases. Badly in need of decoration. The room itself was basic in the extreme. Carpet was threadbare in places and stained. One door of the wardrobe would not stay open and the other could not be opened at all due to proximity of other furniture. Not even a hook to hang (now very wet) coats outside of wardrobe. Extractor fan in main room (not bathroom) ran continuously and noisily without means of switching it off. Suspect that guests staying in the main building may have had a very different experience, but if you're going to put people in a building other than the one advertised, it is essential to make that clear at the outset, especially if access is an issue. It is dishonest to show photos of a specific building, and to claim features such as a lift, if you then house the guest elsewhere.

Bed bugs
We woke up being bitten and took several pictures and a video, then left in the middle of the night and were lucky enough to secure a room elsewhere.
A quick search of this hotel's reviews on Google reveal similar issues going back years, and responses from the business blaming guests themselves for bringing them. We arrived there from our home, where we don't have bed bugs....so we definitely didn't bring them.
I understand it's a difficult problem to manage, but other hotels seem to be having better luck managing the problem, so draw your own conclusions.

The room photos were amazing, nothing compared to reality, It was dirty, the rug was filty AND dusty, tha bathroom had mould. No one ever came to clean, even when que asked for It, they just folded the towels (the same used old towels) the room smelled like cigarrettes AND the safe didnt work. We ran out of soap AND didnt get any more, AND the last day ran out of hot water, so we took a cold as hello shower.
Weve stayed at some bad Places but this one got the first Place when It comes to bad, bad, bad hotels

The hotel itself is nice enough although there seems to be more than one building. From reception I had to go outside, turn left, turn left again and enter a building that wasn't connected to the main part of the hotel. The room was small but clean. The bed was very comfortable. There weren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was mainly continental with a selection of croissants, cold meats etc. The hot breakfast was scrambled eggs and bacon.
The staff were helpful. It is about a 15 minute walk from the railway station and about 10-13 minute walk to the Market.

Terrible dirty and damp hotel who are incredibly dishonest. Booked to stay at hotel but was placed in some Annex nearby. Rooms were incredibly damp and really stank. Bugs everywhere and staff less than unhelpful. Do not waste your money here - other reviews online will back you up. The worst place to stay for a lovely place like Bruges

Awful place to stay, communal areas look fine but the bedrooms in this hotel are in a grotty awful state and it needs a full renovation, would not recommend at all - we went with friends who also rented a room here and were pretty underwhelmed by the whole experience - in addition when we booked why were we not told that there was a massive fun fair open till midnight situated 50 yards from our bedroom window, you can imagine how much sleep we got, on the final evening they started dismantling it which finished around 4am, it is little surprise

This was central to where we wanted to go. Easy walking distance . A very small place but the receptions area was always respectful and friendly. We did not use the restaurant but it was available. Enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel was able to check me in early. Sarah, the front desk receptionist on-duty, provided tips on how to make the best of my stay. Amongst others, she provided the name of a restaurant that serves authentic Flemish food in this UNESCO-listed, historic City. This restaurant, De Vlaamsche Pot, is located a short walk away from Hotel Putje. I had dinner there. Hotel Putje is near the Brugge Train Station. It is surprisely quiet.

It's a very nice hotel in the general areas like the lobby, living room/library, breakfast hall, etc but when going to our room (I think it was 101) we had to walk through a very long hallway, with stairs going up and down and no one to help us with the luggage. The carpet looked quite dirty and old, and our room, since it was at the very end, had the ceiling lower in some areas, so you had to be aware of it. Also they seemed to have humidity problems, you could notice it mainly in the bathroom, where (by the way) had no light in the shower, so it could get a bit dark.
Now, when we arrived we noticed that a double bed/king size was prepared, but we booked 2 separate twin beds, so the person in the front desk had to get new sheets, separate the beds, etc (it would seem he was the only staff member in the hotel...).
Apart from that, the room was okay in size, it had a refrigerator, safe deposit box, closet, big mirror, etc
Regarding the breakfast buffet (not included, I believe 14 eur): I liked they had fresh fruit and the eggs, bacon, bread, etc were really fresh, made there a few minutes ago, but they didn't seem to calculate well enough how many people would be eating, so it ran out very fast and the other person in the front desk would sometimes be checking you wouldn't take anything extra that wouldn't be eaten there...
The location is very convenient since it's like a 10min walk from Grote Markt (market Square), but there are many restaurants, stores, churches...
