Fantastic stay!! The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the downtown, easy walking distance. Our room was quiet, well equiped and huge. We loved the restaurant, breakfast, and cafe. The staff were incredibly helpful and had great attention to detail.

This was an amazing place to stay, really Clos eto everything, really quiet and safe, we were shock the first day with the quality of service they offered, I would expect that from a high end hotel, but they staff was so amazing, I will definitely stay once again with them.

I wish I didn’t rate it so high because then everyone would want to stay here. Honestly, it was perfect for my family.

The hotel was an authentic Oaxacan masterpiece. The staff went out of the way to accommodate us in every way possible. We were almost overwhelmed by the depth of their service and willingness to accommodate us in the best way possible. Thank you to all of the staff.

The hotel may not look like much from the street but when you step inside it’s lovely. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and even booked us a cab for our early morning departure. He was so accommodating and friendly. The king suite was affordable and huge. Plenty of room to lounge, sleep, and shower. The common spaces were well taken care of and beautiful. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This hotel is in a lovely 16th century building whose colonial beauty is enhanced by minimal decor much like the convent museum. We loved our rooms upstairs on the street. The staff could not have been more kind & helpful. Good american or mexican breakfast is available as well as snacks & drinks all day. It is in a perfect location. Excellent in every way!!!

An historic building with a lovely courtyard and very good proximity to the Zocalo, it was delightful to stay here! However it's historic nature means that many rooms have only window into the courtyard. If natural light is not a priority, the rooms are a good size, with very tall ceilings and quite comfortable with the ceiling fans on. One issue, perhaps common in Centro of Oaxaca was the water pressure. There were times of the day when flushing the toilet or taking a shower was a problem. The small restaurant has excellent food at very reasonable prices. However, all in all, I am happy we stayed there for 7 nights!

Quaint building & architecture. Lovely place with full cafe on property — right in the heart of central Oaxaca. Staff is friendly, warm & accommodating.

Old hotel, not well updated but OK.
The real issue is the price does not match the amenities. This hotel in Puebla or Queretar would be at least 1/3 less. The pictures mis lead on the amenities and the quality of the esthetics of the hotel. But it is very convenient to Zocalo. Not related to the Hotel, more Oaxaca, it seems overpriced in general hotels and Food) compared to rest of Mexico and lost some of it magic over the last few years. Unless the control costs OR spruce up the city and hotels, it is going to lose the attraction it once had.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions, for weeks at a time for work, and over all a lovely stay. Great helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms in a historic building, good breakfasts, and centrally located right off main zocalo and close to the main pedestrian area.

We loved this little paradise. Close to everything we wanted. David at the front desk was always ready to answer a question and patiently tolerated our Spanish. Margarita did a great job keeping our room fresh while offering a kind smile even while masked her eyes emitted a warm welcome.
