The Hotel left very miced feelings. It has a remote location as assumed on the middle of nature with some nice views. The service is rather friendly and the breakfast has some choiche for everyone.
The rooms were however very simple compared to price with only onevery flat pillow. The balcony was nice though. The corridords to rooms vere so dark that even for us it was difficult to find to put the key to lock. Lamps at corridors provided very little light and vere ”Hunter”/”Jäger”-style. Perhaps somebody likes them but from customers’ point of view they vere useless and perhaps even a bit scary. Rooms need modernizing or prices should be lower. Additionally, outdoor pool was empty though we visited at the end on June.

Good service and great food. Had a very enjoyable stay. No English menus but the staff were happy to translate. Service was first class.

Everything is outstanding! Just needed to check in by 8pm since the front door will be locked. If you cant make it, you need to call them in the advance to find the way to access the front door.

Firstly, the location of this hotel is spectacular. At the end of a 1.2 mile single track road, the hotel is perched high above the local town of Rottau. As such, the views are superb comprising the Chiemsee lake in the distance and the large hills in which the hotel nestles. Our room was very large, extremely clean and had a 20 feet long balcony. So far, so delightful. However, the day we arrived (a Tuesday) we were told the restaurant was closed and there were no bar facilities. After a very lengthy drive, this was disappointing and meant that instead of relaxing for the evening we had to go out to eat. Nowhere in the literature regarding the hotel were limited hours of opening of the restaurant/bar mentioned (unless we are being very dim). The proprietor recommended two restaurants in Rottau, one of which was closed. Are Tuesdays in Bavaria a bad time to attempt to eat? Fortunately, the second restaurant (Restaurant König) was open and we had a very hearty German meal. Incidentally, at the end of the meal we discovered the restaurant did not take cards for payment and the proprietor told us not to worry and to bring the money in the morning! The kindness of strangers - always unexpected and, on this occasion, both welcome and touching.

Difficult to find, but otherwise quite wonderful. Exceptionally nice welcome, very good dinner and breakfast, special location--worth the effort to find it. Improved directions would be helpful.

Toured cow pasture trying to find the route up the hill. Take care driving up and down the hill due to blind curves. Worth the effort. View breathtaking out of room window. Cows and cowbells below the room window in evenings.

We only stayed one night but we loved it here.
So quiet and peaceful, it was the perfect place go get away from the hustle of the city.
The rooms are a little run down, but they are more than adequate, with comfortable beds, and quiet surroundings.
We had dinner in the restaurant and it is so far the best meal we have had on our holiday, with fresh ingredients prepared well.
The waiter also did a great job in recommending both good and wine.

A charming guesthouse, fantastic service with a very nice personal touch. Surrounded by wooded hills with nothing but sounds of cow bells, yet only 10 mins away from the main Munich-Salzburg autobahn. A geat value!

We specifically chose Berggasthof Hotel Adersberg because of its fantastic location. We were not disappointed.
It is located in the beautiful rural Rottau, conveniently close to the amazing Herrenchiemsee New Palace (15 min by car, plus a boat ride).
We stayed there for 2 nights during our visit from Munich. We were both highly pleased and satisfied with the service and hospitality extended to us. The hotel is simply outstanding in every regard!!!
It is clean, inviting, and charmingly decorated (in a typical for the region style, which I personally find lovely). Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the atmosphere extremely relaxing. The room had a small terrace overlooking the mountains with the lovely birds-eye view of Chiemsee lake and the villages in the valley.
We arrived on their “Quiet day” when the restaurant is closed. However, we found lots of places to eat nearby where we enjoyed the local food a lot. On the following evening, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was all very delicious and reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast is rich and very good (scrambled and hard boiled eggs were included in the menue).
The real plus to the Hotel is the wonderful staff. They were so helpful with suggestions for restaurants, directions, and anything else we needed during our stay (we had to leave very early in the morning and to our delight we were offered some food to go, which was greatly appreciate on our long drive to Venice).
