No heating in room lots of drafts when we complained they gave us a night heater but by then we was cold to the bone so we left early hours of the Sunday morning to go home will not use this hotel again

Do Yourself a favour and pay the extra money and stop at the Mercure!
No parking, rooms are like university halls, plug in heaters, cold room, cold shower, unhelpful guy on reception.
Never again!

Puled back duvet to find hairs in bed, bits of something unknown and a stain on the sheet. Very of putting. Bed had deep hollow and mattress uncomfy. Chair and walls both very grubby. Overall in a poor state, though shower and kitchen were clean.
Immediate street didn't feel safe, though nearby high street was fine.

Stayed on a Saturday night for a gig at rock city (15 min walk away).
Room was a bit tired but was clean and comfortable.
For the money its a great place to stay for a night out in Nottingham.

The cleaning could be better, the walls look like they haven't been painted for years and are dirty which gives it an abandoned look. The shower light was broken and the shower hose didn't work. The worst thing was the parking, they charge 10 euros for an area with unregulated spaces so it was very difficult to park here, there was even an abandoned car rotting in said parking lot. The reception closed at 6 pm and at 9:30 am it was still closed.

Lights didn't work in our first room. Went down to get another room, and half the switches didn't work.
There are food marks all over the walls - it's quite grotty

For me the hotel was about a 30 minute walk from the railway station. Check in was easy and I provided picture ID as requested. I spent most of the day out of the hotel but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The little kitchen area was a good addition. I read the reviews before booking and I too felt safe around the local area both late at night and early morning. For the price it was good value.

Able to hear adjacent rooms quite loudly.
Bannister to both bedrooms not firmly attached.
Chairs torn.
Shower was set up to have overhead and handheld options, but dial for overhead was missing.
Damaged bathroom tiles and exterior decking.
Lift smelt strongly of cannabis one time we used it.

Parking cost £10 which isn’t shown also hair found in new unmade bed as well as mattress and pillows being unfit for use as needed to fold duvet into 6 to get any degree of comfort
Noisy in and outside of hotel all night as well as floor in room not being hoovered as stones found on carpet

Promises a lot, delivers very little. Air-conditioning wasn’t working in the room, looks like the control unit has been vandalised. There was a gaping hole in the bedroom wall that had been stuffed full of toilet tissue. There were other marks and stains on the walls and a bedside shelf was missing apart from its bracket. There was very little water pressure for the shower, and a remarkably small basin in the bathroom. The reception area felt more like an Eastern European hostel. For some reason, staff insist on seeing photo ID at check-in, sorry going with the Eastern European theme. Floor numbers in the lift do not match room numbers. For example room 400 is on the third floor. There are no signs to explain this, you just have to find your own way There is limited parking on site, with ridiculous rules for when you can and cannot move your vehicle, outside on the street there is some parking, although there is broken glass from what looks like vehicle break-ins all over the place. Hotel is in a converted historic building. it could have been so much better, seems clear the owners put little thought into the business and how it has run. I have tried to add pictures but the app won’t function.

Extremely hot in the balcony rooms even on a rainy night. Open windows and doors made no difference and had one small fan. Paid more for a worse experience. Also dirty around the bed area and a weak shower. Kitchen area was ok though.

I would say the size of the room is very spacious. I like the added kitchenette feature, and the shower was lovely and big as well. The bed was also spacious and comfortable.the reception and check in wasnt welcoming whatsoever. The stairwell up to my room was dilapidated and dirty. The shower was broken in my room, with the second shower head attachment being missing altogether. The tap on the kitchen sink was loose, so was the toilet seat. The curtains were not blackout- meaning they didnt do anything to block out the sun when it came up. The temperature control panel by the door was broken, and the bedside reading lights didn't work. This cost me a total of £176, which is a ridiculous amount of money fot the quality of room and location. Admittedly, hotels were booked up due to it being moving in weekend for students, and I booked through a third party website. However, the point still stands that this was at most worth £50. These are easy fixes as well. By far my biggest complaint- was the elevator noise. My room was next to the elevator, so i expected some noise, however the elevator made a loud "ding dong" noise every time someone pressed the button on any floor. It sounded the same volume as a doorbell! Needless to say I did not have a good night sleep either night, being woken up by a doorbell noise almost every 5 minutes. Im almost certain you can get the noise turned off by an elevator technician

You can’t expect a lot at this price but have stayed at many hotels in the UK over the years around this price mark and never needed to show ID to check in.
Things to note:
There was coffee sachets but no kettle.
There was a tv but no remote.
There was a mattress with no mattress cover so sheet was directly on mattress.
There was heating/air con but the dial was broken.
You could hear the tv from the room next door and people snoring through the wall.
There were stains on the wall near the bed - not sure what of.
Despite all this I still slept well!
Shower was good and it was a convenient location for the event I was attending.

Nice clean rooms, plenty of amenities in the room such as fridge & microwave (small kitchen), tv with popluar streaming apps installed. Short walk into city centre. 24hr reception with very friendly staff.

The room we were allocated was a mess, the mattress was stained and smelled, the bathroom was covered in red algae and seemed to have not been cleaned, we found a lot of silverfish around the room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, which made it difficult to sleep. Housekeeping seemed incompetent, and didn't want to replenish towels or toilet paper, despite me asking. The windows did not close properly and the room was freezing. The reception staff seemed quite nice, which was the only positive of the stay. I would never recommend for anyone to stay here.

Fantastic service from the guys at the Traveller's Regency. The room was very nice and had everything you need for your stay. I would use them again and highly recommend anyone to try staying there.
