This hotel is clean, and everything works. However, the services provided by staff is extremely poor. I would not recommend that anyone stay here except you simply want to throw money away. For a hotel this expensive, you will experience the worst service imaginable. Be warned. There are other hotels, way cheaper, equally clean, bigger and still provide a more intimate, boutique feel than this place. This service is so bad that you will definitely regret staying here. Just imagine a more than 2 hr late check in after a long travel, imagine a room you booked is said to be unavailable and then becomes available all of a sudden, imagine seating at the restaurant for 45 mins before someone even attends to you, imagine asking for a menu and it takes another 30 mins to take your order. Imagine ordering for one thing and getting another. Also imagine being at the pool side for hours and no one attends to you.
Now don’t ever think of having an event here. The assistant manager Mr Tony is horrible- cares more about money than your experience and memories.
Am sure Mr. George meant well when he opened the hotel and wanted a certain type of experience for his guest and I think he genuinely wants his guest to get d best service. But I think he needs to send decoys to spend time at the hotel, I think he’d be blown away that his guest don’t even get a A 1* service

The service of the staff was extremely slow and disappointing- and this ran across different sections of the hotel. From the front desk staff (when requesting for something) to the staff by the pool (often had to order/ask for things multiple times as they would not have placed order when requested)

Property standard, service and cleanliness. This is the nest hotel in Lagos. On the pricey side, but worth every penny. You get your money’s worth unlike most hotels in Lagos.

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! Staying at the George totally made my trip to Lagos. Initially, my family and I were only meant to stay for 6 nights, but we ended up extending our stay to 9 because no other hotel could compare. From the quality of food, to the super friendly staff, to the comfort and welcoming presence of the hotel, to the onsite facilities, this hotel superseded my expectation. Shuttle service was safe and prompt. Lastly, I want to thank the GM Theo T. Very lovely guy, helpful and efficient. He went above and beyond in EVERYTHING he did. I can’t thank him enough...The Geoge will be my first choice when coming to Lagos. 10/10

I came in around 12 noon and I have to pay additional 50,000 to have access to the room as early check in. I feel this daylight robbing. International hotels check in time mostly is not 2 pm.
More so no loyalty bonus for a repeat stay.

Lovely boutique hotel. Very well done with good service. Rooms are well laid out and furnished. The shower in my bathroom wouldn't stay in position when adjusted but other than that there's next to nothing that needed to be better.

It was a good stay but not excellent. Had issues with breakfast, internet and a few other things. That said, the staff were extremely pleasant and eager to help and the hotel and rooms smelt lovely. Hope my next stay is much better.

A few hiccups at check-in due to miscommunication between hotels.com and the hotel. The manager sent me a bottle of wine by way of apology which won't necessary but obviously appreciated. From then onwards it was smooth sailing. The key difference between The George and so many hotels in Lagos is the service. They have obviously invested a lot in staff training. They understand how much difference a smile and the simple act of saying Good Afternoon or Welcome Back can make to a guest's stay. The food is great too so many thanks are due to their chefs. It's not the cheapest option but undoubtedly the best overall hotel experience out there at the moment.

Best service in Lagos. Excellent attentiveness by the personnel. Food was consistently fresh and very well executed, both the international and local cuisine. When a problem arose with my air-conditioner, I was immediately transferred to another room. By the 2nd day of my 5 day stay, certain staff already knew my name. Easily the best experience I've had at a business hotel in Africa.
