Worst hostel I ever stay at in Brazil. The volunteer staff was the worst I ever experience. One staff received my food and ate the food and lied and said he thought it was his food. The food wrapping has VEGAN printed all over the wrapping along with my name written on the bag. He later admitted ( after I asked him did he like the food at least? ) he replied “the sandwich was good but not the fries” I guess he forgot that he had told me 10 mins ago that the food had NO fries inside the bag. At 2 am I was awoken with loud volunteer female staff mimicking to other guest and staff that I was asking if my food has arrived. She continued to laugh and say “ ela não entende, ela fala inglês.“ I am not confident in speaking Portuguese so I do not speak it but can understand it. She also had an inappropriate conversation in the kitchen with another male volunteer but again she thought I did not understood Portuguese so she continued while I listen.
