We stayed here after a ski trip to Jay Peak. It was only 35 minutes away.
The property was charming. Quite the find!
The room had character and super clean.
The staff was friendly and fluent in English.
Parking was easy as there was a separate parking lot.
The town is cute and very walkable, with a grocery store 1/2 mile away.
I would definitely return again in the future.
While we loved the property and would return, there are 3 items to be aware of:
1. We stayed in room #4, which had the king bed on the 2nd floor and the bath on the first floor, which meant a careful trip down the stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I had brought a nightlight so this helped.
2. Since there isn't any carpeting or heavy drapes (a plus for allergies), there isn't much sound absorption. Our neighbor was in and out of their room at 6am and it was super loud, to the point that I thought that they had come into our room.
3. Not hotel related, but if you are coming from Jay Peak, be aware that the closest border crossing is only open 8am-4pm.

Comfortable.Great location in a cute town. Food is really good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Have to climb with luggage to the second floor, a moderate inconvenience. I’d go back without hesitation.

Loved the auberge room and the beer in the Brasserie! However, I did not enjoy the food. Strange combos on the menu and not tasty. There also need some more healthy options on the menu.

Came up from Vermont for a ski trip with a couple friends. Even though we have lots of ski areas and breweries at home we thought it’d be fun to try an experience across the border. Couldn’t have been more impressed… friendly staff, cool decor, delicious food and drink, and so convenient to be able to sleep in the same building where we were drinking! VT breweries should consider copying this concept. Highly recommend and will return!

Very comfortable stay and great location. Next time I will book directly with the owners in order to take advantage of some of the packages they offer.

We appreciate that the bath gel, shampoo and conditioner were in large bottles rather than small bottles or grungy containers. Service was very good. Room was a little noisy but it is on street corner property and not really problematic. The owner called me personally to make arrangements to get into our room after hours. Great sleeping arrangement with a loft and downstairs bed. The only problem was that there was just one chair which meant always having to sit on the bed. I recommend that at least one more foldout chair for downstairs and maybe a foldout chair in the loft. All-in-all I would recommend this hotel as I have stayed in it before and always have been satisfied with its location for hiking, restaurants and groceries. And IF you enjoy beer or some good food, the restaurant/brewery on the ground floor is the place to go.

Sutton is charming little town and this was the perfect place to stay. My room was absolutely lovely - beautifully designed, convenient, really nice ensuite, pretty view, and a huge and amazingly comfortable bed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and it is really convenient to be able to get a meal and a drink downstairs. They even had live jazz, but because it closes early (9pm) it was also very quiet during the night. Loved my stay here and highly recommend it!

This is an ideally located Brewerie/pub with a few perfectly sound proof rooms above! it gives on a little river which is lovely...we took the car to go hiking nearby at two different locations, to go kayaking, we even played tennis in the village, a short walk away! the brewerie itself is a fine eatery (a pub style menu) and Sutton offers many alternatives which are very fine, all walking distance...it was a 3 days vacation which felt like a month! We are already thinking about when we can go back! p.s. the king size bed on the mezzanine was a treat!!!

We had a lovely stay. The living room and bathroom were on the lower level of Room 3 and the bedroom was up the stairs. Morning espresso was yummy, also. The only thing we couldn’t decipher was the TV, but we didn’t need it… Sutton is a wonderful get away location!
