Really nice hotel, room was clean, pool was nice and the restaurants were great. Nice area with shopping and close enough to downtown to walk if you want. Would stay again!

Close enough to everything yet just far away enough to get a quiet nights sleep.

My wife & I had a staycation on Labor Day weekend at the W. Since we live in Nashville, we have tried out most of the nice hotels in the city for various events through the years.
The hotel itself is clean, modern, and upscale. However, the rooms are marginally better than a Hampton Inn or Courtyard, and definitely not a 4 or 5-star hotel. The bed was one of the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel. My back has been sore for almost 2 days afterward because the mattress was so bad. It wasn't just super hard, but it was also springy and cheap feeling like one you would expect out of a roadside motel.
The hotel pool is good and there is plenty of sun around the deck. The only complaint for the pool is the waitstaff and bartenders. The service was poor at best.
It was a busy weekend, so we understood we would need to wait. It was the lack of recognition that was frustrating. If they would even acknowledge your existence to tell you they are running behind, that would be fine, but instead they completely ignore you and leave you wondering if they are ever going to ask you a question. When you finally did get someone to take your order, they seemed to forget about it until you reminded them 20 minutes later.
Overall, I will never stay here again. For half the price you could stay at any 3-start hotel and have a better experience.
If you want a trendy scene, ignored even sitting at the bar, and back problems, then this is your hotel.

I’ve stayed at several W hotels. For being new our bathroom had chips of paint missing. The shower knob falls off. At the pool bar an asked for “two margaritas “ when I got my bill was charged for premium tequila I didn’t ask for. Wasn’t going to say anything, but when checking out the guy at desk asked about my stay and I told him. He said “ok” and could care less.

Excellent hotel for stay. Great access to all Nashville attractions. Loved the experience. However, be aware of its expensive restaurants.

The little things matter and this hotel thought of all of them! From reading lamps that don’t disturb your partner to blackout curtains that actually cross and fully cover, to upscale bathroom products and a variety of reading materials… everything was very convenient and clean. The coffee shop on site is a gem with a little garden area to sit in, the food was great and the rooftop bar has a killer view. The pool was fantastic, just get there before noon or you won’t get a chair!
The location of this hotel was so great - walkable to downtown but also the hop on hop off bus stops at the corner. There’s some great restaurants and shops in the Gulch and for those with pets, a dog park across the street, as well as a market and liquor store. Everything you need is close by.
The bed was very comfortable, and the service was great.
Definitely recommend!
